I see where some other reviewers might not like it right off the back, I feel they may be missing the concept. This is NOT yogurtland or Pinkberry concept here. The beauty of it is that they blend your fruit/toppings into the yogurt. Other than a bit higher price and waiting for the blending I don’t see anything wrong. It tastes great and offers much more tart than the other two chains I mentioned. Ill definitely be frequenting this place from now on.

Not a fan of this place. Not for my taste buds or wallet. I’ve never tried Yogen Fruz so while at Del Amo, I decided to give in. I got the Chai tea latte flavor… which tasted really odd. It’s basically slightly tarty vanilla yogrut with chai spice? It didn’t taste like Chai to me… the combo flavor tasted rather nasty. The price came to $ 4 for the smallest cup. I can go to Yogurtland, get the flavors and toppings I want and get twice as much!!! Even Pinkberry tasted better!!! HUMBUG!!! I wonder if the Green Tea flavor tastes good at all… That will forever remain a mystery because I do not plan to go back.

I tried this place for the first time about a week ago. I ordered a smoothie and it was soooooo delish! The flavor was vibrant and lasted throughout every sip! I dont remember the name of the drink exactly but it was a blend of strawberries, peaches and apple juice… so good! Yogen Fruz is a bit pricey; I think I paid a little over 4 bucks for a SMALL smoothie. In any case, I will definitely be back to indulge once more because I dont remeber ever enjoying a smoothie that much!

Great custom yogurts. I like getting a plain tart with mangoes and cayenne pepper sprinkled all over the top. Yum. You can make all sorts of unique things here. Ask someone and they will explain it to you. The frozen fruit is for mixing into a yogurt not to top it. The fruit makes the flavor. They also have all sorts of other flavorings to mix in. Don’t pass judgement on them just because some people can’t figure out there are more then two flavors… Seriously they can make just about anything!

A bit pricey for just frozen yogurt. Their competition tastes better to me, honestly.

Located inside the Del Amo Fashion Center, Yogen Fruz is a unique yogurt place right by Macy’s and Build-a-Bear. When I first walked up, I noticed the fruit didn’t look too fresh because it was frozen… the bananas had a strong brown tinge to them and I cringed not really sure of how fresh this place was. There was also only vanilla(no fat and low fat option) and chocolate for the mix-it option. Acai-blueberry if you wanted toppings. So why the four stars? Read on… The guy at the counter kindly explained the different«mix-it» flavors that Yogen Fruz had made up, and as I scanned the list, I became more interested, especially when I found out they sort of make the yogurt flavor on the spot! So you pick ingredients to mix or select from their suggested 20-something recipes. I chose STRAWBERRYDREAM: vanilla yogurt, frozen strawberries, and nutella(!!!) They basically use a drill-like device to smother the ingredients and the yogurt together with a machine! and viola! You have your freshly made yogurt! The strawberry-nutella mixture was really, really good. The constant brain freezes were so worth it haha. I never saw this kind of yogurt place so I’m glad I gave it a chance – don’t let the frozen fruits scare you away like they almost did to me!

Tried this for the first time this past Saturday. Understandable its not self serve because of the mall crowds; however they really have a limited selection of yogurt flavors– Vanilla, Chocolate, Original Tart and Acai-Blueberry(which my guess is a rotating flavor). I was looking for a more tart taste, and the lady was nice enough to let me try both the tart and the acai-blueberry. The blueberry one was too sweet, and the tart was technically not as tart as I wanted, but it sufficed. I had it topped with strawberries, mangoes, and yogurt chips, which were good, except that the mangoes were still a bit raw. Not a bad place, but the lack of flavors kind of sucks. I like flavors like pomegrate, etc. Still if the yogurt craving hits, and this is the only place around I would go.

[+1] I went here twice in the Del Amo Fashion Center(next to Claire’s), and it’s pretty new! Counters are meticulous! [-1] The yogurt tastes very fresh and the lady there always gives me the full medium size without the hole in the middle that some places give you, although my friend said he had a small hole in his. but the guy made his yogurt! Hahaha. [+1] Either way, the medium always fills me up, so I might get a small next time! It should be a SNACK not dinner. xD [+1]Anyways, I always get strawberries and mochi and they are always fresh tasting! The strawberries are delicious and since I only get 2 toppings the lady piles it up on both sides. I like that the mochi is colorful. xD. [+1] The yogurt is tangy and I just adore the texture, it’s really tangy! I like it better than Pinkberry but the taste is more alongside Yogurtland, which I absolutely love! Thanks Del Amo for having its first frozen yogurt stand! [+1] Now I don’t need to drive too far to get yogurt! Very yummy! Yes! Now I can have my yogurt while browsing stores too! Score!
