It’s an okay location. We came here for the SWEA Swedish Christmas Fair. The venue was way too small for the volume of people in attendance and not enough restrooms. There is a nice courtyard and stage(both indoors and outdoors). Overall, though cramped, we had a good time at the Swedish Christmas Fair.

Beautiful, clean, and efficient work staff. If the price is right, I highly recommend giving the Center a visit!

[UPDATE2: Review #85] H’s taking a gymnastics & ballet class this summer. It’s a bit quieter(not as many classes) during the weekdays than on the weekend. The gymnastics class looks more like an exercise class(stretching, jumping, rolling), but they do some tumbling. It’s mostly working on their listening skills & their ability to follow directions. I think the instructors are more focused with the smaller class. I definitely like the weekday classes more… too bad I’m not on a school schedule like my hubby to enjoy this perk.

Screw u, Torrance Cultural Arts Center… You’re not on civic center drive… u r on mariscopa. To those who are confused… If you look at any online map… google or something else. the street will show up as CIVICCENTER… but when you arrive the street says, MARISCOPA… It’s 2013, Torrance… Get your streets right.

Great civic center location. Nicely kept up and the staff is very helpful. Haven’t joined in any of the events but was here for a work function at the Nakano theater.

Nice event on 10 July — Japanese Summer Festival, if you missed it this year, try to attend next year’s. There were good representations of Japanese festival-style foods presented by your friendly neighborhood Japanese restaurants, and by one takoyaki food truck.

Classes are good… people are good except when you need help, or information… i was transferred to 4 different people. none of which could help me… one of them actually told me «well i would prefer if you went to the class(rather than give me a refund) because there is a lot of paperwork involved and i really dont want to have to do it.»

Best place to host an event in the South Bay. We’ve held many of our church events here and their staff is the best. Not only are they very efficient and professional, they are friendly, courteous, and accommodating. Their facilities are also maintained well and they work with you to make sure that the room is set-up to how it would work for your event.

The 12thANNUALJAPANESESUMMERFESTIVAL was all weekend at the Torrance Cultural Arts Center. We came and paid our $ 5 to get in and was given a program but it was of no use to us because it was all written in Japanese. They had dancing, music, food, beer and games for all and many booths that I have no clue what they were selling. :) I took several pics and wandered around for a while and watched the kids sing and dance.
