I’ve had to come here a few times to work remotely for various reasons(i.e., waiting for car repair at Pep Boy’s next door, power outage). There’s plenty of seating here, so I was usually able to find a table next to an outlet when I would come here before 9am. As far as service goes, things are pretty swift here even when the line looks to be almost at the door. Staff is super friendly and accommodating as well. I took off one star because they do not do rewards here. I had a free coffee/pastry thing available for use and was going to use it on a large iced tea, but they simply told me they did not do rewards. Bummers.

I try to stay away from corporate/chain coffee shops when I have a lot of work to do n I’m desperately picking my hair out of their roots because i consciously decided that for the past 2 weeks I’d rather do everything else in the universe other than study for my organic chemistry test… because they’re usually packed with loud people and there’s way too much going on for someone like me who finds it difficult to stay focused even in a movie theater. …what was I supposed to write about again? Oh yeah, Unilocal review! Yes, this location looked inviting from some photos I saw of their couch chairs and patio. I’m glad I gave it a shot! they offer free wifi, have friendly employees that warm up your pastries, keep the music at an acceptable, work-friendly level, and!! bestly! they’ve got a sweet patio that might even look bigger than their indoor seating arrangement. It’s 4:30PM on a Tuesday, patio is empty and its aaallll mine for now.

This is a typical coffee shop with decent coffee and the staff is very friendly. I came in here to study for an exam(since many of the other reviewers said it’s a good study place), but left after a few minutes as it’s way, way too loud(not a quiet place at all). Despite what other reviews said, it’s not a good place to study(even at off peak times). If you just want to hang out with friends and talk, it’s a good place, but definitely don’t come here thinking you can study or get any work done. The music here is very loud. Parking can also be a bit of problem as it shares a parking lot with a 711 store.

This is my experience on weekdays before 8AM. PROS: Quality is great, I am never disappointed. It’s always delicious and fresh. The service is very friendly they are always smiling. CONS: Parking is a bit crazy n crunched because they share with 711 n getting out onto Del Amo takes a bit because of the amount of traffic. They have 1 person making coffee, 1 person taking orders n another getting pastries but that means you wait 10 minutes to order n 10 minutes for coffee unless your just getting a regular cup of joe. OUTCOME: I’ll keep coming back … I’ll just try n make sure I wake up ealier so I don’t feel so rushed.

First thing here is the lack of parking on busy morning’s because the location shares a lot with the 7⁄11 next door, but the great service and well made drinks make up for the parking negativity.

Black Forest you never disappoint. I have been to many a CBTL location, and this is my go-to drink at each one. For those that aren’t familiar with the drink, its an ice blended mocha drink that has maraschino cherries and chunks of chocolate blended right into the drink and then its finished off with whipped cream… heaven in a cup. Oh and I almost forgot to mention that it has pieces of espresso bean blended into it as well and puts the drink over the top. My drink was made perfectly in terms of the thickness of the drink and the flavors… the cherries are just oh so yummy and make this drink stand out. The service was great during my visit, and they had a gift card promotion at the time. This location seemed to be popular as there were quite a few people there, but I did not have to wait long for my order… they were very efficient. One thing is the parking lot/spaces are on the small side. They are nestled right on the corner of Hawthorne and Del Amo, making it a convenient location. I would definitely return when in the area.

Yesterday morning I purchased an ice coffee and headed to work. At work, as I drank it, I caught a big piece of broken glass in my mouth! I looked at my cup and there was an additional piece in there. I couldn’t believe it. I kept the piece I caught and headed to the coffee shop after work. I spoke with the manager and let her know about the incident. I showed her the piece and she said«that’s really weird, I’m sorry», gave me a FIVE dollar gift card and said I’d receive a call from guest relations. No one gave me a call and I’m just really dissapointed in the nonchalant attitude of the manager. Not only was this unprofessional, but it’s a serious health issue. I don’t even know what to say???

I love this CBTL. The location is weird(right next to the 7 – 11), but it tends to be quiet(good for working or studying), it’s very clean, and the drinks are made well.

The staff here is amazing and efficient. Every staff member acknowledged me and attempted to make some kind of dialogue. I’ve been to a lot of Coffee Beans and this is by far the best.

I recently got to check out this Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf location when they were offering freebies for early risers for the Daylight Saving Time change. I really liked that the baristas were friendly. They not only offered up the free coffee but they asked if we wanted some pastries as well and this was all done with a smile :). I liked as well the comfy brown couch like chairs that they had at the place. It gave a nice homey feel. They also had a small patio like outdoor setting which I could see as a nice place to enjoy a treat on a summer day. Good, friendly service, tasty drinks and treats, overall nice setting… this Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf is a winner :).

I dig this CBTL, actually much better than the Rosecrans CBTL. — The staff here are super-duper friendly. — The restroom is ALWAYS spotless. Which is very nice. — The baristas here are just perfectionists, which goes a long way in drink enjoyment. — The place is also spotless. — The only CON(and it ain’t their fault) is the shared parking lot w/7 – 11 and sometimes it gets pretty full(tight getting in and out with other cars). This place gets coffee and service and cleanliness RIGHT!!! Love it when it all comes together! ENJOY!

First time at the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf! They serve hot and cold coffee and tea drinks, ice blended drinks, baked goods and etc. Came to this location because it’s the closest to home. Located inside a tiny business plaza on Hawthorne and Del Amo blvd. Parking is limited, but we were lucky to find parking right away. I’m not a coffee drinker and it was too hot for tea so I opted for the Pomegranate Blueberry ice blended drink instead. It was recommended by one of the staff. It was delicious! Love the combo flavor of pom and blueberries. El Hubby had their ice blended mocha drink with whipped cream. He really liked it a lot! Their ice blended drinks are very smooth and creamy, smoother than Starbucks. Sometimes Starbucks has little chunks of ice O_o. I noticed their blenders were hidden inside a cabinet when they make the drinks. It eliminates a little bit of the loud noise from the blender. I thought that was pretty neat. Their service is great. I will come back!

I’m a passive coffee drinker; usually 2 – 3 times a week and always an ice-coffee(black) with a couple of equals — nothing fancy. That said, I don’t have much to say about the actual coffee and I try not to order the pastries, although sometimes I do get sucked into the Low-Fat Chocolate Twist, which is pretty damn good. What I can speak to is the consistent service that you’ll get from the folks working at this particular CBTL; always friendly and welcoming. When you walk into the place at least one but often two of three of the employees acknowledge you and say«hello.» As cheesy as it may be and while I’m sure it’s a corporate standard, it makes me feel a little warm and fuzzy. So often in this day and age, you walk into a business and feel like you’re being ignored or even like you’re interrupting them. Not here — I always feel welcome. I work from home a lot and find myself posted up here for 3 – 4 hours at a clip. I’m the jerk with a laptop and an iPad sucking up all the free WIFI and hogging the outlets, sorry! Anyway, I have a lot of time to observe the employees and how they interact with the customers and it’s impressive; always a high-level of customer service and consistent. No idle hands here. When the place is dead, they’re all cleaning and tidying up the place, prepping for the next rush. When there is a line of people, they hustle(not like the slugs working at the Starbucks on 190th) — these people have a sense of urgency and you can tell it’s appreciated by those looking to «grab-and-go.» They generally seem to get along well and work together to create a good experience, again, rare in this day and age. An interesting mix of patrons too, which makes for great people watching; everything from the yoga pants wearing house wife, local working stiffs, starving students, and even a few creepy car salesman from down the street — you can always spot them with their tassel shoes and cheap cufflinks. Again, if you value great customer service, a good good cup of joe and fast moving lines, this is the best place in the neighborhood IMO.

I would say by far The best Coffee Bean & Tea I’ve ever been to. Staff are friendly and the place is always neat & clean. They know how to make my drinks just right and fast. Plus they don’t try to sell me stuff I don’t need.
