GOELSEWHEREIFYOUWANTTOLEARNTOSURF!!! I am writing this review because 3 summers ago I bought a groupon for my 2 boys for surf lessons. Well after I purchased the groupon I tried to schedule an appointment but I was told they were all booked for the summer but they would honor the groupon and there would be no expiration date. The following year I had contacted Summer Surf with Chris and, but it was well into summer and I was told the same thing, that all appointments were booked and they would still honor the groupon. Now this year I called early, in the month of May and I left emails, phone messages and no response from them. So I contacted Groupon. After about two weeks of emails from Groupon I guess trying to reach Summer Surf with Chris, I was given the option to get a credit from groupon or the other option was Groupon could continue to contact to contact this bogus. business. I guess Groupon couldn’t reach them either. Well needless to say I opted for the credit. JUSTDON’T. Don’t try to come here.

Keep in mind when reading my review that I RARELY leave bad reviews, I like to give the benifit of the doubt and I try to take into account if someone is having a bad day – We purchased two surf lessons through either Groupon or LivingSocial. One was with Summer Surf with Chris and the other was through a different place. The other place we were really happy with, we tipped him, etc. We were spectacularly unimpressed with Summer Surf with Chris. The lesson was for my 13 year old son who tends to be a bit shy and needs a little encouragement. The lesson was 2 hours long. There were 10 – 12 students who were all set up in pairs to share a surfboard. My husband and I watched from the beach with increasing annoyance when we realized… The instructor was spending nearly ALL of his time with two students that happened to be 20-something attractive ladies in bikinis. I am not exagerrating at all when I say that the instructor helped my son on the surfboard TWICE in two hours. I had to turn to my husband at one point and say«I’m confused. are those other kids even with the instruction group because he’s only been to see them ONCE.» My husband confirmed that, yes, they were with the group and were also being ignored in lieu of ‘bikini babes’(whom I am very sure are nice enough gals — I’m not laying blame on them at all). Flirt on your own time, Summer Surf with Chris — don’t make people pay for instruction so you can cherry pick your next dates. As far as I’m concerned we just paid for 2 hours of time so my son could splash around in a free ocean.
