You will never meet a nicer, more abysmally-incompetent group than the Staforellis. Victor came to our door almost a year and a half ago and cut us a quote for replacing our windows with newer, double-paned ones. It was a good quote — or so we thought. When they showed up to install the windows, every one was two inches smaller in each dimension than the window opening. They broke the old windows out and wanted to set the new frames inside the old frames instead of replacing them, effectively reducing the window area by about a square foot and increasing the size of the frames. The explanation was that what we actually wanted are known as «new construction» windows(I subsequently learned that some people on a budget resort to the cheaper method). Not only was that not explained to us, but the windows we ordered were not designed to be installed their way. We told Victor this was unacceptable and we wanted the original windows replaced as we had expected. After some going back and forth we reluctantly agreed to pay for new, properly-sized windows to be re-made. Thousands of dollars. After months of delays and phone calls, some of the new sliding windows came and every one opened on exactly the wrong side from what we had specified. Could any competent contractor be unaware of how to order a window from a manufacturer? When I asked Victor’s son Fernando how this could happen, I was met with a blank stare and no accountability. We went ahead and had them install the(backwards) windows and the work they did was good on some, sloppy on others. They went away again, and the cycle of phone calls, messages, etc. resumed. Several more months had gone by when we asked them to please just drop off the remaining windows we had already paid for so we could have somebody else put them in. Not only did they never show with our windows, they never came to pick up a ladder and some tools they left. The worst.

It has now been over a year since Victor and his crew completed our addition of 650 Sq fy onto our original 940 sq ft home in Torrance. We added a complete new roof, 2 baths and a home theater room. They accomplished this while we lived in the house, which saved 12K on the«living elsewhere» expense. I waited to post this until some time had past to ensure we were happy and we are. They delivered on all commitments, fixed things that didn’t meet our expectations and held the firm price they committed to.
