Great spot for lunch! Service was very personal, and I even met Rosa herself. Ordered the cheese salad with chicken, which tasted so fresh and tasty. The chicken is pulled though, so if you’re used to dices or slices of chicken, you might be disappointed. But it still tasted delicious! My friends ordered the cheese salad, which has more cheese and veggies, but without protein, if you’re into that thing. Overall, great place to grab a nice lunch!

Wow the tacos are fantastic and the little salad they serve with the combo is delicious. The service is amazing and the staff all have smiles. This place is a great find! Need more places like Rosas!

Rosa’s is a great little family place. Very old school, very clean, and the staff was super nice. I can’t believe I’ve never tried this place before. It was my Moms birthday, and the waitress was very nice to her, and brought out some birthday cake for her. Will definitely come back again!

This is the best authentic Mexican restaurant in Torrance if not the South Bay. Rosa, the owner, was our server and provided us excellent food and fast service. Our family is from Jalisco, Mexico(and we know something about authentic Mexican food) and Rosa’s exceeded our expectations from the moment we walked in… We ordered the beef and chicken tacos, chicken enchiladas, rice and bean combos, albondigas soup, which came with fresh salads and spicy hot salsas. Mac and cheese with fries is also available for the kids. Rosa surprised us with a special«bunuelos» dessert plate after our meal to make our 1st visit even more memorable. Rosa took the time to share her love for the 20 years she’s been in business and the quality of the food and service is testament to her passion! See and taste for yourself and make Rosa’s your only Mexican spot.

The food here was really good. I have been on the hunt for some really good Mexican restaurants and I have finally found one. They have specials that are really good and come with a drink. The chips and salsa are really good. The potato taco is amazing!!! I will be back.

It’s sad to see less than five stars for this place. However they are obviously an honest account of someones experience. I imagine not everything is always perfect all the time but on the 4 occasions I have visited I have had fantastic food. Small and intimate somewhat homey. Awesome service and a family run establishment. Some of the best salsa I have had. Love the red and verde sauces too. Overall a great little joint!

This place is like a friends house. The staff is so welcoming, the food is made with love, & my favorite thing about it is the super spicy homemade salsas. They have 3 extra hot sauces. I rarely find salsa that is hot enough for my taste & when they are they lose flavor. This place is on point, with their salsas, spicy & full of flavor. I’ll be back

Wouldn’t you know that we would discover this place right after we plan to move out of state! Among the best Mexican food restaurants in the South Bay, and I’ve lived here 30 years. Try the regular salsa and the hot chili salsa with oregano, for starters. I think the quality of the salsa is often a good indicator of the quality of the food. Rosa really knows Mexican food and everything on the menu that we have tried is great. The seasoning on the soft chicken tacos is perfect. Generous portions and great balance of flavors. Easy to drive by the place in the miss it! But don’t! And try the tres leches cake!

The shrimp tacos are really really good. Had both a chicken and shrimp taco. Chicken had a yummy dressing on the lettuce and it came with a lot of cheese. Shrimp was packed with flavor and also a lot of melted cheddar cheese on it. I definitely will be back for more.

Just ordered two tacos, one beef and the other chicken. The chicken was so dry and the lettuce was dressed in Italian dressing. Neither were good. I opened my container of rice and beans and the rice was so bland and the beans were over so over cooked that it looked like the outside bits of jerky. First time here and the last, I’ll stick to el burrito junior or rubios for now.

We’ve been coming here for years. A great family-run neighborhood restaurant. Rosa is a true gem. Very personable, attentive and kind. Great chips, great salsa, and the taco burrito and tostada are family favorites. Rosa’s is a sure-fire family go-to.

The salsa is really fresh and yummy! But the guacamole is bland. Maybe we ordered the wrong things? The food just wasn’t that flavorful, and it was pretty dry. The tamale was very good though! So I think in the future I would just get tamales. Yes order a tray of yummy tamales and then take them home and make my own guacamole. The service was really horrible the night we went. The food was wrong and being the only people in the place I was surprise at the lack of attention to detail. All in all this is a take out place where you should order their tamales not a sit down place where you expect a great dinner.

Always the best food, and friendly smiles from Rosa, and the rest. I’ve been coming to Laca Ban’a for over 40 years, back when it was«Freddie’s». The food is always great, with consistent flavor. The atmosphere is casual with lots and lots of loyal regulars. My personal favorite dish is the always awesome ½ Special ! Give it a try.

I feel like sometimes I live a 5 star life because here is another 5 star review. I had lunch yesterday at Rosa’s for the first time. Based on reviews, I have referred many people to her place, and I have wanted to eat there for sometime now. The atmosphere is simple and uncomplicated, to food fresh and delicious and Rosa was there to meet and greet her lunch guests. Her portions are perfect. Sometimes Mexican restaurants will offer much bigger portions then is necessary. Rosa’s portions are perfect. the chips and salsa were delicious and the service attentive. They cater right from the regular menu and also have specialty items they have prepared for more customized menu requests. If you love to party, you may want to let Rosa make the food for your next gathering.

We have been eating with Rosa’s for over 20 years. The food is ALWAYS fresh and the servings ALWAYS fill us up. The carnitas, the marinated chicken our so delish and served any style you wish. That’s one of the reason we keep going back. Rosa and her staff always give you what you want. You know a GREAT establishment when you see the same families week after week. It’s a must if you’re in the Torrance area.

Okay, you shouldn’t have to pay over $ 10 bucks for half a burrito but that’s what I did here today. I don’t eat Mexican food often because of the high fat content found in many of the dishes. It’s the ultimate comfort food though and I do enjoy a good Mexican meal with chips and salsa and a good burrito every once in a while and today was the day I craved it. I came here after church for lunch and ordered the ½ Rosa’s Special for $ 9.75. I thought I would be getting a much bigger burrito than I did so was slightly disappointed when I saw the small burrito that was delivered to me. It was just shredded chicken, refried beans and cheese wrapped in a tortilla. I couldn’t believe it! I did get what I thought was a side salad that came with the meal but it turns out they just took the lettuce out of the burrito and served it to me in a small bowl instead. You think you’re getting a good deal with a salad and a burrito but it’s a misconception and a good marketing ploy I’ll give them that. The sauce poured over the burrito was nothing special, it tasted canned and was blah and even the salsa for the chips was less than average and not very flavorful as I’ve found at other Mexican restaurants. Ambiance: 2⁄5 Service: 3⁄5 Food: 2⁄5 Value: 1⁄5 I would not come back since Mexican places are a dime a dozen and there are so many other places serving tastier meals at a better price. I’d say skip this place and eat somewhere else.
