I have nothing but the utmost respect for Dr Yamamoto. He truly is a master of his craft. I had an unruly mole that appeared overnight and continued to grow until I finally decided it was time to see a Dr. The phone appointment process and check in was quick and painless, the appointment was made for the same week, and the wait time at the office was a little less than 10 min. I was very happy with the service provided by the nurses as well as the Dr. Dr. Yamamoto has great bedside manner and I felt really comfortable with his level of expertise. He explained my situation and what he planned to do in layman’s terms rather than throwing random mumbo jumbo at me as if I went to med school myself. Dr. Yamamoto decided to biopsy the growth right then and there, the procedure was pretty painless and the scaring was very very minimal (I normally scar so Im surprised it isn’t worse). I have definitely found my Dermatologist should I need one again.

Dr Yamamoto is a wonderful Dr always treats super great. I usually see him at least once per year and always very friendly and cheerful and addresses every issue in proper professional manner. He deserves no less than 5 stars.

His office staff is very friendly and professional. However, Dr. Yamamoto — whilst not rude — has always come off as rather aloof and frenzied, to me.
In the 2 years I’ve seen him (about 5 appointments in all), I think I’ve spent more time waiting for him than what he has spent in diagnosing me, which has never surpassed 3 minutes; always seemingly in a hurry to get to the next appointment.
I just changed my insurance to a PPO for next year, in hopes that I can find a better dermatologist elsewhere in the West L.A. or SouthBay/​Harbor area.

Wonderful Dr with a wonderful bedside manner! The whole office team was great and made my son and I feel much better!
