Great customer service, I come here to stock up on Korean items such as sauces, currys, rice, tofu, Mandu, soy sauce, sesame oil, ramyun and snacks. Just love this place. Very friendly and willing to help!

It is easy to find Korean groceries and fresh vegetables in south bay. I am impressed their nice customer service. I love to go to shop there!

So many items are extremely close to the expiration and if you haven’t realized until you purchased and decided to bring them back to the store(i went back in 20 mins after i purchased) the manager gives you attitude. AND writes a store credit without asking you.

Store has a fairly rich collection of Asian grocery items. Cashiers treat customers(mostly non-Korean speaking customers) like if they did not exist. I have never seen another store with worse attitude and service than this one.

I went to this lovely Korean market last night for the first time and I was impressed. The produce is way more affordable than at the regular supermarkets. I love going to Asian markets! If you’re looking for a good Asian market, I’d recommend Market World in Torrance. It is way better than Freshia.

Woohoo! I’m a fan. I was choosing between here and S-mart and figured I’d come here instead based off some of the reviews I read. All I was honestly looking for was soon tofu soup packages that I could make at home, kimchi, and a couple side dishes. I found everything I want and at fair prices! I had no issues with cashiers and the place wasn’t too busy(it was Easter Sunday). The entrance to the store was a bit annoying as we got a bit clogged up. If people want to look at things(with a cart in tow) right in the front it literally blocks everyone from actually entering the market. We had to stand there today waiting for a family to move over for everyone who was attempting to enter to get in. Regardless, parking was easy and getting out was easy as well. When the service is quick, I can find my items and parking is hassle free I’m a big fan!

Woo-hoo! I love Asian grocery markets. I am not sure why it took me so long to come in, but I will definitely come back. A huge selection of Kimchee at great prices, bargain produce, marinated meats, etc.

You have to be kidding me. These people put today’s date stamp on an expired food. The smell reeked inside my whole house as soon as I ripped the shrink wrap. I bought the pre-made food in the«ban chan»(side dishes) section and three of the food were ROTTEN. I can guarantee that this is NOT fresh what so ever. What the hell are you guys thinking? You thought you could fool your customers by putting the most recent date on a what seemed like 2 – 3 day old sour ass food? My family took a sip of their«yook gae jang» soup and spat out immediately in disgust. It tasted like a backward vomit. Absolutely grossed the hell out of my family and me. I called this place and complained and I got my refund back without any further questions. The lady on the phone was very nice about it and apologized for the whole entire meal bought here. Regardless, I’ll be sticking with S-Mart. What we bought: –yook gae jang(spicy soup) –geh ran mari(rolled eggs, side dish) — galbi(ribs) — meat ball side dish

A big store that offers a large selection of Korean Asian items. They have a great produce dept., seafood, store made deli items and fresh meat with marinated chicken, pork and beef items. My favorite places to shop are Market World and S-Mart for Korean supermarkets.

My most frequented Korean grocery store in the S.Bay. Decent for good fruits at rather inexpensive prices. Also of course, it’s good for all of the staples for all of your Korean and other Asian food cravings.

Market World takes you deep into the world of Korean groceries as you have never seen. It’s like walking into a foreign country. Prices are competitive. It has a small restaurant inside. It also has small vendors.

I like it here because it has all the banchans Korean restaurants serve. & I love banchan! They’re servings look fresh, but always be careful with that because they could be sitting there all day. Overall, it’s a pretty good market with every needs and wants! The customer service could be a little better though. They’re not that helpful or friendly at that matter, but it’s okay. Just one disappointment is their packing. I didn’t like how she was just throwing all my food into the bags as if they were trash. I took the time to pick out the freshest and good looking vegetables and here you are just tossing them around everywhere and placing heavier items on top of it, squishing it all. Terrible.

I come here for all my Korean sushi cravings! I remember when it was like $ 3 but now it’s almost $ 5 :(idk where else to get it though so when the craving hits… Also come here when I do my own kbbq at home with bugolgi and chop chae. It’s by weight so not too expensive. They have a big selection of other items toooo like snaacckks haha.

I used to hate coming here because of the seemingly large amount of rude people that shop here. There’s never been a time when I’ve shopped here that I haven’t been pushed aside by someone that needs to get to the same type of veggies that I’m at. OHHI I’M HERE, ORAM I INVISIBLE??? As time went on, I went less and less because of that reason. I hated dealing with the crowds too because it meant being bumped into, rushed past, glared at, etc. Yeaaaah, totes makes my days bad when I have to get through that just to get some groceries. I went back the other day and I must have gone at a good time cause the crowds weren’t as rowdy as before. Or maybe it’s because I haven’t been here in years. Either way, I had an okay experience. I see the prices are still cheap for their veggies/fruits and their interior hasn’t changed much. Lots of workers milling around stocking stuff, not caring about the customers trying to get to their tomatoes/spinach/lettuce but das okay, they need to re-stock(must have to do with the environment or somethin’). Still the same ol’ same ol’ though. Some things never change!

I was pretty amazed how well-stocked this K store was! I love K food and I am glad I was brought here. We picked some marinated short ribs, pork bellies and banchans intended for dinner indoor grilling. It was all super tasty. It’s a whole isle of pre packed warm food and they have a huge section of fruits. And the fresh live seafood!

Pretty chill little Korean Market in the Middle of Torrance. Don’t come here too often except when we want Korean noodles or BibimBap ingredients. Seems decent. The only other stores I can compare it too are in K-town and it obviously is not as large as those, but it seems to have a good selection for the size and location.

They part of the Hannum Market chain over here and they actually give you plastic baggies over here, yay! Cuz the Hannum over in ktown makes you bring your own baggies, lol… They got a lot more fresh fruits selection over here than the S-Mart. Mom got a lot of Fuji apples for $ 0.69lbs and blue Jay oranges for $ 0.69lbs in preparation for our annual visit to the cemetery to honor our grandmas and uncle. They also had a half price sale on croacker fishes, but we didn’t buy again cuz we had other places to go. If we didnt, we would’ve loaded up, hehehe! The sample ladies here are friendlier and aren’t beeyotches here. They actually smile at you unlike the ones in ktown who give you stone cold looks when you try to eat a sample. Definitely a good place to shop :)

Generally speaking, I’m a bigger fan of Chinese(Ranch 99) and Japanese(Mitsuwa and Marukai) markets, so haven’t delved too deeply into Korean markets, as far as going to get Asian food items. I think it’s mainly because culturally, I’m in synch more with those others and they tend to have easier to comprehend(user friendly) displays. Where you go to Chinatown or Little Tokyo, the businesses make an effort to cater to non Chinese non Japanese respectively, but in Koreatown and in Korean markets, they seem to have less interest in the non Korean clientele where stores are cryptically identified without English nor descriptions and similarly the items in the super markets don’t have much of any loose translations other than what you see is what you get. Despite the reputations of Koreans being a bit stoic and unfriendly, upon entering the store, there was a very friendly and welcoming vibe to it, and overall a very nice place to shop. They even had sample stations set up throughout the store, and the staff were helpful, even proactively offering advice on items to choose when given multiple choice options of brands or styles. Market World, part of the Hannam Chain is a good location with a decent selection of fruits and vegetables, and also some fresh(packaged, not a butcher shop style) meats and also fresh seafood. The pricing is good here, and by reputation of Koreans I know as well as Non-Koreans it’s a solid place to shop and a good alternative for common food items that’s cheaper(and sometimes fresher) than American grocery stores and supermarkets, especially for fruits and vegetables. The meat section isn’t huge, so I’d say Ranch 99(or is it 99 Ranch?) is a bit better in selection and pricing. They do offer here pre-marinated Kalbi/Galbi(Short Ribs) which is great for BBQing and other Korean specific items. So, it’s a good reliable place. They even have a small restaurant and small bakery inside too. Parking is easy, as it shares a big parking lot with a CVS and is near the Mobile Gas station. It’s a solid place to shop for anyone and everyone that I’d recommend checking out. PLUS… If you’re looking for one of those Old Korean Lady Ah-jumma Visor Hats, recently made famous by soon to be ex-Los Angeles Clippers owner, Donald Sterling’s reported mistress, V. STIVIANO — — those huge visors that cover the entire face almost like a welding mask… you can get ‘em here! What Crocs are to footwear n’ Member’s Only is to jackets, these visors are to headgear… functional attire but fashion faux pas when it comes to style. But to each their own… :)

I believe this is the biggest Korean Market in the South Bay. Not as great as the ones in K-town or Garden Grove but good enough for me. When I’m too lazy to marinate my bulgogi or galbi for home barbecuing, I’ll just get it from here. They also have tons of banchan to chose from, and of course, you can’t forget the kimchee! Also, if you don’t want to cook at all, or you’re waiting for your landlord to fix the plumbing in your kitchen sink, they have a pretty good selection of hot foods. I picked up some battered fried sweet chicken drumettes, rice, and seasoned seaweed. Every now and then I’ll treat myself to a cool looking fish wafer-like vanilla ice cream sandwich with sweet red beans and mochi… oh so delicious! Fyi, parking can be challenging. Beware of them crazy asian drivers… lol.
