Hickory Park

I love this park. It has a safe, family feeling about it. Plenty of space, and good facilities. It is next door to Hickory Elementary School. It can get crowded when school lets out. They have a great tennis court. An area for swings, and a well equipped play area for kids. With real sand. The grass and trees were always bright green and we’ll cared for. However, with the dought, they are a little brownish. Just a touch. Still nice, considering the water situation. They have bathrooms. There is a small kids rec program. Activities are usually posted in the summer time. There is an area for BBQ’S and pucinics. Lots of picnic benches. Except on Saturdays. On Saturdays there seems to always be some sort of party going on. It makes the park seem very festive. There’s a large grassy area where various teams practice and play soccer. There seems to be lots of dog walkers, even at late night/​early morning hours. A wonderful friendly park.

My grandparents have lived by Hickory Park since 1972 and I have been there since 95 it’s a great park and a Great environment.

Hickory Park! You got to love this place! It’s in a great neighborhood and it’s right next to hickory elementary! The park itself is medium in size but it very beautiful! I love taking my dog for walks around the park! It’s also a great place to BBQ during the summer! They also have a jungle Jim, swing set and a tennis court! Have fun! Peace!

I love this park and have many wonderful memories here! I often walk through here on my evening walk and always see others walking their dogs, etc.
Since the park is located right by Hickory Elementary, the parking in the mornings & afternoons — during school drop off and pick up — can be hectic. Enjoy!

Walking in the park, safe and secure with your pup or friend while listening to the birds as they fly by. Hearing the humming birds far off on a tree. Noticing the little things that adds color to our everyday lives. Today I actually saw a ruby throated humming bird. What a beautiful gift from mother nature.

I like this park. It’s clean and not to busy. It has two tennis courts, playground and some grass area to kick a soccer ball around or have a picnic.
In the evenings theres lots of people walking their dog or walking.
The area is super nice!
