Awesome food and great quality meat! But privet than other kBBQ areas. This is not an all you can eat type of place. We ordered combo C with a side of bulgogi and bimbimbap. There were 6 of us and that order was enough to feed us all and leave us somewhat full. One star deducted for customer service. We felt rushed when cooking the last plate of meat as the server took the tongs and started cooking. But overall great experience not sure I will be coming back due to the high price.

There was a communication barrier. I really don’t know how people rate these things but this rating was very misleading. we literally had to walk out

So much MSG! Yuck! Service was slow. Owner doesn’t help out. He just stands there. I don’t like when owners don’t get dirty and help. It shows they don’t care about the customers and their employees. I guess people like to give good reviews comparing to other restaurants in the area, but I like to compare to all of the restaurant in general. Koreatown to Southbay. East coast to west coast. Sorry. I don’t want to hear that this is typical of korean restaurants. It shouldn’t be. Bc there are good korean restaurants. with good service and good food. It should be a standard for all restaurants, right?!

We ate here last at the beginning of the week and it was delicious! It’s rather on the pricey side, but you do get a lot of food. I recommend bringing a friend or 3, then the costs are much lower. Bonus points for serving which is so far my favorite kimchi– the kind that isn’t aged as much as the typical napa cabbage kimchi. We’ll be back.

I give this place two stars because the likelihood that I will return is slim to none for the following reasons: 1.) The prices are outrageous! One order of short ribs(not much) is $ 40. Everything else(meat/chicken dishes) is just as pricey if not more. Food taste was okay, nothing extraordinary. 2.) How everything works is not explained very well. This is partly because of the language barrier BUT in their defense, when asked questions, they do try their best to answer them and help you. This is the type of place you need to go to with an experienced Korean BBQ goer. Their willingness to help and deliver good service is why they did not get 1 star. 3.) There are indeed tiny little flies flying around the tables like other reviewers have reported. Although I really wanted to like this place, I just didn’t. I left feeling very confused as to why the food was so pricey and just not that satisfied.

No complaints at all. Good quality meat at a reasonable price, a ton of side dishes, and pleasant servers who patiently and efficiently refilled our side dishes and water multiple times, as well as cut up the larger pieces of meat for us. If you’re looking for a place that serves good quality meat, and aren’t in the mood to consume huge amounts of AYCE Korean BBQ, this is a good place to go. It is also reasonably busy but without huge waits(and will take reservations!), so definitely a reliable option if you have a hankering for Korean BBQ with friends.

I have been here several times with coworkers for Korean barbecue. We always get a combo dinner. They come with several kinds of different meats, banchan(several side dishes, most are marinate vegetables), rice, soup and a bottle of beer or soju. The meet is always good quality. The side dishes are always flavorful and fresh. We usually end up paying about $ 18 per person. I love this place and will come back very soon.

Great authentic Korean bbq joint. You can’t beat the quality of meat you get here, and the variety of side dishes. After coming here, can’t go back to AYCE places. The owner and the services went out of their way to serve us. Highly recommend!

Went to this spot on a Sunday, upon recommendation of a friend. Went with my wife and decided to check this spot out. I ordered the 34.99 Kalbi and my wife wanted to try Yukke’(raw beef mixed with pears and a raw egg). They didn’t explain to us that if the Yukke was ordered its too much for one person. It was the amount for at least five people as appetizer. Next my dish came out, which I thought I was going to cook myself but it came out the size of kbbq like a tofu house would serve a side of Kalbi… The prices here are outrageous and they don’t explain jack to you here. And to top it off there were baby flys landing in the soup, the rice and god knows where else, we were disgusted and barely ate half the food. Paid $ 85 for a empty stomach. Don’t go here unless you’re Korean or your rolling with Koreans. Real talk

It’s not all you can eat but pretty darn good. They have set menu for 2 – 8 people. The quality of meat is pretty good and the dumplings are amazing!!! Their kimchi is quite lovely. I will definitely be going here again

My favorite Korean BBQ(Moon BBQ on Western) is closed for renovations *sigh* I looked on Unilocal for an AYCE and Unilocal presented this place. I saw the ratings, and headed this way. I was fooled! It’s NOTAYCE and it’s pretty pricey. Not at all what I expected, and I’ve been to plenty Korean BBQ places(outside of Torrance). Waitress was not pleasant, I had to hunt her down 3 times, and never received refills… she basically was avoiding us. $ 74 for 2 orders of Bulgogi and 1 order of shrimp… and I definitely do not feel full. Lesson learned… I will not be returning.

Really hestiant to write a good review for this place because I don’t want it to get more crowded than it’s already gotten in the start time I started coming to this place but I can’t argue with the fact that this place has consistently been good, wide variety of dishes and side items and price is reasonable for a non-AYCE place. Service is very friendly and they do a great job at managing the cooking of the meats for you if you’re unable to manage it yourself. They take reservations so it’s highly recommend now that they’ve gotten more popular.

Hubz and I stayed in Torrance for a few days with friends and they took us to some of their favorite spots and this place made the cut and we’re glad it did! Aside from the fact that they gave our table to a group of 4 who came in after us everything was great. The waitresses were really nice and answered all our dumb questions. We got the combo c, with marinated short rib and marinated chicken, beef and pork and all the regular Korean BBQ sides. All of the meat was so delicious. We were all surprised by how much better each piece of meat was than the last piece. The food felt never ending, but everything was SOGOOD it was impossible to stop eating. The greatest part was that with all that food we had just stuffed into our faces, we left there feeling full but not disgustingly stuffed. It was actually really nice to just feel satisfied by a meal, doesn’t happen too often for a couple hungry fatties like us. Can’t wait to go back next time we’re in Cali!

We were walking by this place and lured in by the delicious smells wafting outside. We were not disappointed. We ordered one dinner order of beef bulgogi and it was tender and had a very nice marination flavor soaked in. It was enough to leave my husband and I very full with all of the sides included. So, that being said the price for dinner was very reasonable. The included salad comes with a very tasty dressing that has a little nice surprise of heat. We will be back.

Came here for lunch with my bf. We ordered Galbi Tang and Dolsot Albap. My albap came with a small bowl of Miyuk Gook(seaweed soup) and it literally tasted like warm water with black pepper. The rice wasn’t anything special either. The galbi tang tasted just like my miyuk gook… except his was hot water with black pepper. Seriously, the only thing that tasted good here was the sweet tea thing that they give to you when you pay your check. If you want real Korean food, in regards to soups and jjigaes, this is not the place.

So after reading other reviews, it seems that most people are basing their 4 and 5 star ratings off the kbbq and dinner menu. In their defense, I have not had the dinner there but THIS review is strictly for their lunch menu. Ban-Chan(side dishes): Not fresh. I’ve had many questionable ban-chans over my lifetime but this stuff was not up to par. I usually munch away at almost every ban-chan imaginable but I couldn’t get myself to even have another bite of the selection they put in front of me today. Galbi Tang: No flavor, very bland. Tasted like hot water with a hint of Galbi and maybe a dash of black pepper. Never been so disappointed with this dish. Miyuk-Gook(Seaweed Soup): Lukewarm broth… actually not even a broth, more like water with way to much black pepper. Dolsot-Albap(Hot Stone Bibimbap): Not bad. Surprised they didn’t screw this up, but cmon, it’s kinda hard to mess up bibimbap. Conclusion: I am Korean, obviously know a thing or two about good Korean food. Not a fan of the lack of quality of everything I had to taste today. I’m usually pretty lenient on even the worst of foods, but this was such a disgrace to my culture that I felt obliged to share my experience. Originally went there for Naengmyun/Galbi combo, but apparently they got rid of the combo because customers were complaining about the small portions of Galbi they were receiving. So instead of fixing the issue by maybe beefing up(no pun) their portions of Galbi, they decided to just get rid of it and replace it with a cheaper meat. Will not be returning.

party of 2 at 8:30pm on a friday night. first time at this place and i’ll be honest, i was impressed. given that it’s not in K-town, this is some legit korean bbq. it not all you can eat. but the portions were big and $ 20 each, which is very reasonable(compared to K-town prices). their ban chan were incredible, some of the tastiest i’ve had. and i’ve been to a LOTTTTT of korean bbq. they serve ~10 plus the salad, soup and small cup of the dessert rice water. they give you the legit kimchi — the fermented kind. service was slow at first but it got better. they were not super attentive but it’s ok, we weren’t in a rush and we didn’t mind cooking our own meats. we ordered the pork belly(delicious, some of the best i’ve had — they slice it more thinly here, which i actually preferred) and the galbi. good wheat tea. overall, a pretty good experience for the south bay! i’ll def come back here when i’m too lazy to drive to k-town. large parking lot.

A very unassuming Korean restaurant in a strip mall, among the den of Korean restaurants in Torrance. We came for a last meal in LA with a group of 10, and I must say I was very impressed. The place itself doesn’t really have any particularly nice décor, but what they lack in flashiness, they more than make up with the quality and value of food. My friends were a little worried about the place not being all-you-can-eat, but it worked out in the end. For 10 people, we got 2 of the 4-person meat combos, 2 haemool pajeon(seafood pancakes), 1 order japchae(potato noodles), 1 order soondubu jigae(spicy tofu stew), and an extra order of dwaeji bulgogi(spicy pork). The banchan(side dishes) that came out with the combos and food were pretty fresh and tasty. The waitstaff was very attentive and patient, especially with those in our party who hadn’t experience Korean barbecue before(I know, smh). The combos also came with a bottle of soju each, which was pretty awesome. All the meats were delicious and well-seasoned, and the seafood pancakes just the right amount of crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The japchae and soondubu were pretty standard, but still very well executed and we just ate happily. The total, including tip, tax and drinks, came out to only $ 35 per person, which is way less than AYCE. We were dumbfounded at this, given that Korean BBQ with drinks in NYC would have cost us easily $ 60+. We left a very good tip, feeling pretty pleased with the experience. I can’t speak for the place in relation to the others, but I can say that the experience at Guh Mok was great, and I would definitely recommend it for anyone in the area looking for Korean BBQ at a good value.

Came in on a Friday night and the restaurant was quite busy. All the tables were full and we waited for about 15 minutes for a table. Service was quick and kind, the servers came around to check in with us pretty often so that was nice, especially when they were busy too. The menu offers a pretty good variety of items, and it was nice that they had soups and different bibimbaps for those who don’t want to eat too much of the BBQ. We ordered two orders of brisket for our combination. Not a fan of rice noodle so got double the radish instead. The brisket mixed with salad and radish almost had a buttery taste. Perhaps it was from the grease, but nonetheless it was delicious. The brisket did unfortunately have a bit too much fat on it than I usually prefer. I think Guh Mok did have one of my favorites when it came to its’ sides. Sides are one of its’ strengths, plentiful, fresh and flavorful. My favorites being the bean sprouts, two types of seaweed, fish cake, spinach and grated radish. Overall, I really enjoyed my dinner experience here and I’d definitely be back again.
