Torrance, CA
Seems like every so often, we hear an explosion, hear sirens roaring, notified that chemicals are spilling. However, I commend the refinery’s communication system with the community. I get alerted of all the happenings of the refinery though the Torrance City’s notification system. It’s important to know if we should shelter in place, GTFO or simply note that the refinery is going to flare off some steam for a few hours. I suggest all businesses and residents sign up on
for alerts from the refinery as well as other things such as beach and street closures.

What can I say? I work here. Some days are good and some days are bad, but that’s the joys of working for a refinery. It always keeps you on your toes.
