I am so confused at the ratings here. Maybe I came on a bad day? The sauce on the John Wayne tasted so watered down, my hash browns were burnt, the country fried steak was bland. The only saving grace was the French Toast and the service, otherwise, I don’t think I’ll be coming back.

This place is good! I wandered in for breakfast and this spot seemed popular with the locals. Some of the plates were a little pricey; but judging from the portion sizes of the other patrons and the apparent quality of the food, the prices seemed worth it. I ordered a modest breakfast croissant with bacon, egg, mayo and American cheese with syrupy peaches as a side. The croissant tasted freshly-baked and buttery, and the fried egg was cooked perfectly. The coffee was excellent. The service was wonderful. Be aware that this restaurant is «Cash Only,» so hit the ATM beforehand(I got a bit of a workout jogging to the Chase ATM couple of blocks away.). Overall, this is a great little American-style café serving excellent food.

What a great breakfast spot. My pal and I were just finishing up our trip and after a quick Unilocal search we located Eat at Rudy’s. The hardest part about being there was trying to decide what to have. We both ended up going with corned beef hash and eggs, a clear favorite of our friendly waitress. What a delight she was. Even if the place was awful, I think she would have brightened it up and garnered five stars. But the great thing was that she didn’t have to. Great prices, great food and friendly service.
Seafood omelette was awesome. Full of shrimp and crab with creamy Swiss cheese. Service was excellent. In fact the server made me feel as if I were part of «the family». Will most definitely come back the next time in the area.

Friendly fast service. Good flavor and presentation. I had Rudy’s special which is eggs with chorizo. Indoor and oído or seating, we sat inside and while the table were close, I did not feel crowded. I wish they accepted credit cards as I have to make an extra trip to bank of I want to eat here.

Not only is this my favorite breakfast/brunch place in Torrance, but it is probably my favorite breakfast/brunch place PERIOD! I lived in Torrance for over a year and probably ate at Rudy’s 20 times! I was so sad to move out of the area, but when I am in the area I definitely stop in! Nothing is better than sitting outside eating Rudy’s Special on a gorgeous morning! The wait: If you show up on a busy Saturday/Sunday morning, dont FRET! They are worth the wait… Once you are seated and ordered, the food comes quick and piping hot off the stove! :) Service: How can i forget the service… my favorite waitress is an older lady(cant think of her name, BUT she resembles Carol Brady with her hairstyle lol) who is so personable and motherly… She makes you feel as though you have known her for years! I def recommend trying to sit in her section… There is another bruntte, who although is thorough, she isnt as friendly! If you are in the area, EATATRUDY’S! :)

Cash only!!! Make sure to bring your cash money when dining here. The service is good. Not too overwhelming, just enough to make you feel welcomed. We got there around 11am on a Saturday. It was crowded but we didn’t have to wait for a table. I got the Suzy Omelette, which was one of the menus on the daily items. It consisted of turkey, green onion, Swiss cheese, and tamatillo sauce with sour cream. The dish also came with a side of hash brown and your choice of toast. The price was reasonable at $ 11.50. Overall, it was good!

Rudys was ok. A little place and kind of crowded It’s kind of pricey too What we ordered was ok too my eggs were not cooked as requested. I asked for over medium and they were kind of runny the one thing I was kind of upset about was myself and my cousin were catching up as we hadn’t seen each other in a while so we decided to give Rudys a go. we were sitting there enjoying our meal and then remained to talk for a while after when then the waitress asked us if we could please leave as they had other customers waiting!!! I just never had that happen!!!

This place is so adorable. It’s a small restaurant located in Old Torrance, and it definitely makes you feel like you’ve stepped back in time when you’re here. We sat outside cause inside looked crowded. Although most of the customers were inside the waitress came by our table just as frequently to check up on us. And she was so sweet. Probably the best customer service I’ve experience in a while. It was my first visit here, but I was taken care of as if I were a regular. I ordered the country breakfast which is two biscuits covered with gravy and eggs style of your choice. Definitely a satisfying breakfast after a two hour hike. They are a cash only, neither of us had cash but there was a bank walking distance which made things easy. Plenty of street meter parking.

If you’re a fan of super big breakfasts then I would recommend going here. The portions here are huge and well worth your money. The atmosphere is very relaxing and feels like you’re in a little town. The food here is very«home-y» but I didn’t taste anything special. It felt like a meal you could get at a Denny’s or Norms. The service here is great and the parking was not too hard to find. If you’re looking to have a meal and a conversation I would recommend sitting outside because the inside can get pretty cluttered and busy.

Pretty cool breakfast joint in the heart of Old Torrance. Fairly expanded breakfast menu, little bit of everything. Lots of outdoor sidewalk seating. Fast and friendly staff. We ordered the Rambo(French toast, eggs, and bacon) and a 2-egg breakfast with home fries and turkey sausage. Everything tasted great! Good sized portions, but not so large that you can’t finish it. They’re open 7 days a week, but only open until 2:30pm. Cash only, but in case you forget, there’s a B of A atm next door.

Rudy’s is quite possibly one of the best breakfast experience I’ve had in awhile. When we arrived there was only of seating outside. The server was incredibly friendly. We ordered the food and it came out in no time at all. We ordered French Toast, and an omelet with chorizo. All of the orders tasted great. If you like breakfast, small diner feel, and great friendly service you owe it to yourself to try Rudy’s

It was our second time visiting. We expected a long wait since it was 11am on Sunday but we were lucky and was able to grab a table pretty fast. We were greeted and served right away. We ordered a french toast and country breakfast. When we were here last time, we got eggs benedict and country fried steak and I remember it was pretty good. Everything was delicious but I think I was a little less impressed with french toast though. There are a lot of stuff on the menu that I want to try on in the future. However, overall, we enjoyed our experience there with foods and service. We will definitely keep going back! If you are in Torrance area and looking for a breakfast/brunch place, I highly recommend this place. Foods: 4.5 stars Service: 4 stars Atmosphere: 3.5 stars Overall Experience: 4 stars

It’s time for an update… yeah, this place is more than«just A-Ok.» I’ve been here enough times to say it is one of my fave brekkie places. Mostly take out for me as it’s very close by. Now if only I can break free from ordering the same special, Rudy’s Special. But, but, it’s soooo geewddd! Non-greasy chorizo mixed with eggs, shaped like a pancake, topped w/American cheese, freshly sliced tomato, & half-sliced avocado! This comes with homestyle potatoes & your choice of additional carbs… I usually order flour tortillas & substitute my potatoes for fruits. :) Ahahaha, Not This Time! I worked up my appetite today! Now I’m in a FoOd CoMa!!! Come check this place out! Okie, Nighty Night, Y’all!

Came back to get an omelette and it did not disappoint! Same big portions and was delicious! Everything on this breakfast menu sounds bomb. Banana pancakes are my go to at this place! Service is 5⁄5. Always coming around to check up on us and offer coffee and water. Our server always gives us great recommendations too! Two pancakes would definitely fill you up instead of three. One egg may be enough instead of two. Thank you for the great recommendations, I would get so full if I ordered more. I’m totally in a food coma right now!

Stopped in today to grab some lunch while I wait for America’s Tire to put new tires on my car. It’s only a two block walk from there and they are open for breakfast and lunch only. Their specialties are breakfast and their turkey melt for lunch but I decided to have a burger. Good sized burger, comes with tomato, lettuce, pickles and a thousand island dressing type sauce. Then, of course, you can get other items like cheese and bacon if you want. Decent flavor but the patty was a little dry, I imagine they pat their patties and squeeze out the juices when cooking. But it was enough for me even without any sides. I’d recommend ordering breakfast or the turkey melt and save your burger cravings for another time. All that being said, I’m coming back because I like the atmosphere of a home town restaurant and really enjoy their breakfasts. Enjoy!
