China Bowl Express

Good solid hole in the wall Chinese food lol! Their orange chicken could use a little work but everything else is so good! And their food doesn’t just sit there all day! My favorite is chow mean have them add broccoli and then a side of bbq chicken! They give HUGE portions for a more than reasonable price, have a large drink selection, and their sodas are never flat! Also the two sweet ladies there are always friendly :)!

I came in with my co worker today because we were craving some Chinese food. They have the worse service ever! They were so rude. They would not even let us try samples. The food was alright. The orange chicken was too soggy.

Food is delicious. Service is fantastic and fast. I would come here more often if it were closer to my place. The owners are super friendly. Some of the best fried chicken I’ve ever had.

Their service was extremely bad. They gave a wrong item, and when I came back to get a right one, they said no since I left the restaurant once. They gave me a receipt either.
My friend got mad (that was his order) and went to get a right item again. And they told him same things again. They even called him racist after THEY asked him what nationality he is.
He bought a right item, and the lady who called him racist, took a wrong item even we paid for it too. So we needed to go back again. The owner finally apologized, but this whole experience was absolutely awful.
Oh, to be fair, the food was decent.

It’s a plus that the food is cheap, but it isn’t that great. It looks like it’s been sitting for a while. The service was probably the worst experience I’ve had in customer service. And I’ve had some pretty bad ones. My girlfriend and I walked in and weren’t greeted but instead asked «you know what you want?» We were still looking and deciding and while we were doing so she would sigh and just stare impatiently with her hand on her hip and everything. I asked the lady if she could try to avoid the huge chunks of celery but if some made it in that that was okay. She starts yelling at me, I could barely understand what she was saying, so she starts slamming stuff into the plate with a ship load of attitude. We go to check out and she doesn’t even tell me the total. Horrible experience. I usually tip but I just couldn’t after that service.

This should be searchable under Louisiana Famous Fried Chicken. Haven’t had the the Chinese food here, but the chicken is fantastic.

The food wasn’t great, I wasn’t expecting much from a fast food Chinese place and I was still disappointed. I asked for teriyaki sauce on my chicken and instead they put soy sauce. I’m probably not coming back again.

Have been coming here for years! !! That BBQ chicken is the bomb! The Chow Mein is good too!
I love their jalapeño fried wings! Not a fan of the Louisiana Fried Chicken or the other dishes but then again I’m a creature of habit!

Panda express style except that it’s cheaper, more options and larger portions. Tastes about the same. Will definitely come back!

China Bowl Express is fast replacing the nearby Hong Kong Express as my go-​to place for a quick and easy Chinese meal as I find its food to be a lot less greasy when compared to Hong Kong Express. I generally end up going to China Bowl Express when I’m too lazy to get anything else. It is located in the same plaza as Charo Chicken, Fiesta Grill and a couple of other restaurants on Carson so location, accessibility and parking are not an issue. The first time I visited I was confused as this restaurant also doubles up as a Louisiana Fried Chicken restaurant but I’ve never had their chicken as I’m afraid that it would be from the steam table but somewhere down the line I’ll take one for the team and try it out. As usual I get the two item combo ($ 6) which is priced exactly same as Hong Kong Express. Taste wise I don’t like their orange chicken but the other chicken and beef dishes are fine. All in all it’s pretty good considering the price for what you are getting, with the only drawback being that it’s cash only.

I like this joint, clean, friendly staff, they try hard to conversate, even if you cant understand the words coming out of their mouth… Like Jackie Chan talkin to Chris Tucker… I gave 5 stars for tryna talk hehe

To sum this place up in a few words: Clean, cheap, delicious.
The service really does back up the food. The ladies behind the counter serving you the food do a great job getting you in and out as quick as you want. While I was sitting and eating my food, I over heard some the lady ask a local customer about her family. I was really surprised she remembered her family and thought she was the sweetest lady ever.
Now to my favorite food, honestly, this food is way better than Panda Express’. All their sauces are made fresh and from scratch, not bagged and shipped. I personally believe that their orange chicken stands alone since I have not tasted one better. Their Chow Mein has the right consistency of veggies to noodles and isn’t too oily either. I have tried their most popular «cooked-​to-​order» dishes which was the Shrimp Fried Rice and their Wonton Soup and it is very tasty. The Wonton Soup is great for a rainy, cold night, and also when you have the flu.
This place is very cheap. When compared to other Chinese restaurants around, China Bowl is usually $ 1-​$ 2 cheaper with their combos. Cheap and good food? It doesn’t get any better than that. Highly recommend.

I am not trying to crash a party but I need to base my review on the type of food quality/​service received correct?
So I read some reviews on this place about how this place is 100 000 times better than Panda Express in terms of size, quality.etc. So couple days ago, I gave it a try and it wasn’t a pleasant one and I am NOT talking about their service.
I got chow mein, fried rice, how wings, and mushroom chicken. Chow mein tasted okay, hot wings were satisfactory, and the rest were thrown into trash after two bites.
I am a huge mushroom chicken mania as I always get this whenever I try different chinese express places. And I must say, the chicken tasted like rubber, the veggies tasted raw, and it just wasn’t worth my money.
Maybe this place is really a great place but it was just the day that I visited which sucked. But then again, even if that’s true, it was SO BAD I honestly think Panda Express is 10 000 times better. (Just my two cents)

Came here 3 secs after being wasting my money at American Fish Grill. Ate a $ 14 «entrée Plate» at AFG and was still hungry as fuk!
Came here to fill up and damn, should have just came here to begin with. Food was way tastier then any Panda mumbo jumbo.
Had a combo, Spicy chicken that was properly spicy and mushroom chicken that was proper mushroom-​y. Broccolli beef with some fresh properly steamed broccoli. Chow mien was nice and golden and steamed rice that was nice and steamed.
Great amount of food for like 5% of what those fuk’rs at AFG charges. WAY more valuable.

If you’re looking for greasy Chinese Fast food to hit the spot look no further. This place takes the golden prize! I enjoy my plate of Chow Mein and Orange chicken. Have it with a beer and call it a night! The food really backs up the service.
