I went to the Branch Office bar for the first time. I had a great experience. The place is modest but clean and very reasonably price. The bartender Bruce is a great guy and the patrons were very nice to me. Everyone knew I was a first timer and a round on the house by one of the regulars was shot my way. complimentary light snack although you could make it more like a meal today was mac and cheese and a tasty very tender beef sandwich(you make your own). Drinks are low cost and great. To sum up I highly recommend a visit. High marks!

When it comes to decent dive bars this is the place. The coldest beer I’ve ever had! Plenty of regulars to converse with and dollar ground beef tacos on Fridays. Cheep drinks and a nice jukebox keeps things rolling. My regular watering hole.

I’ve been to numerous dive bars and yes, I’ve came across some sour service every now and again. But this place has raised the bar. I like to experience new places and see new faces. I pictured that this would be a cool little spot to grab some drinks and just chill without having people trampling and hovering over your shoulders while you’re sippin’ on your neat vodka or whiskey. So right when my girlfriend and I walked in, we get heads turning and neck breaking. Good Lord, have these people ever seen Asians before? After we shook off the uncomfortable feeling, we approached the center of the bar and this Gothic looking lady looked right at me with a «What in the f*ck do you want» expression. Hey. I may not be cut from the same cloth as this lady but we have one thing in common; I want a drink and she happens to be a drink server so let’s make a connection here. I asked for a Grey Goose on the rocks and she said they don’t have that. then she turns around and looks at all the bottles that are behind her. First of all, how do you not have Grey Goose? Secondly, you’re on Unilocal advertising that you’re a «FULL» bar in alcohol service. I mean, I’m asking for one of the most known and most popular vodkas out there. not vodka that is found under a crystal rock in Bora, Bora and then filtered, and then mixed with Oprah Winfrey’s salvia. I didn’t want to put up with her witchcraft stare so we left. Maybe I’ll come back after I join a cult or something. Cheers!

What an amazing find! This hidden gem in Torrance is about as real as it gets, and when I finally make the move to the South Bay, this will be MY watering hole. Upon driving by, the tough exterior was enough for me to slam on my breaks and make a U-turn. Uhhh yes, please! We enter, saddle up to the locals-lined bar, and order two Bloody Marys. Are you ready for this… SIXDOLLARS. For two. I’m not joking. And stiff and spicy, they are! Bruce, the bartender, is so incredibly welcoming. He lets us know all about the drink deals and the daily food specials, including Rib-eye Wednesday — a thick slice of steak, baked potato and vegetables for $ 15! Scroll through the Unilocal photos for a picture of this meal — it’s a feast fit for a king. So, let’s break this down: impossibly cheap cocktails, home-cooked meals throughout out the week, and oh, they open for business at 6:00am. Why aren’t you there right now?! See you Wednesday, Branch Office!

Nice cheap drinks, but total dive bar. There was a fight and no security to break it up. I’ll pass on going again.

Wish I liked this place. Its within walking distance. The prices are great but it is beyond filthy. It smells like it looks. When I’m on my way to work I see them cleaning it but I think they need to spend some money and get a professional cleaning company to come in 4 times a year. Ladies forget about using the bathroom and don’t even think you can get around it by using the men’s room. Both are filthy.

Oh, Branch Office. What a place! The 2 female bartenders in there in the evenings are hilarious. Great gals to spark up a conversation with. This is a local spot no doubt. A true dive. The bartender even warned us that if we sat at the bar in a «regulars» seat they may get miffed! They have always poured me a strong drink here. I’ve met some characters at this place, all of them nice. One guy even played pool with the end of a broom stick, ha!

This place is awesome. It is a very low-key bar and often times looks closed because the sign isn’t lit up. The vibe is dive bar but not with douche bags. The locals are all really chill and everyone seems to know everyone else. The more you go the more you become apart of the family they have formed here. It is a really cool thing! They say there is sometimes drama that goes down but the few times I have been there I haven’t seen anything. It has always been a really chill, friendly vibe. Also the owner is hilarious. You’ll have to go to experience it yourself but honestly you won’t regret going. It’s always a good time at Branch Office! *NOTE: it is cash only but they have an ATM inside the bar. It charges $ 2.50 so try to bring cash before going.

Still five stars! Still the place where I can take my delicate co-workers and they end up having a great time. Still the place where you can get way buzzed for $ 5 but you can kind of trust that you won’t be taken advantage of. Yeah, I am in love with this bar! Thanks to the cool locals and the cool bartenders. Too bad real estate nearby is hard to find. Seriously, I want to move here! T, where are you? OXO

Yes this place hits the spot when referring to Dive Bars ! No light advertising that shows they are open,(hrs 6am-2am daily) The phone number is unlisted and if I were to share that I would be cast away as a shameless traitor — U must become«part of the crowd» and maybe U will get it. But if the owner is there don’t dare to ask !!! Smoking area is outside and hope it isn’t raining cause your gonna get wet. I wont tell the other secret because that is what makes it oh so special to us Branchers. I have been a «CLUBMEMBER» at the«BO» for about 13 years so therefore I am my own worst enemy :) For those of us who have grown up there with many of the Patrons we are like a family this place really is considered«OURCLUBHOUSE» … no drink specials like those«Glitzy Competitors» but trust me the price is right ! What is unique at the BO? Hmmm For sure it’s the ambivalence, lowest best prices in the Southbay, Most beers are $ 2& Cocktails $ 3.50-$ 5(at the very most.) Generous pours and The COLDEST beer in town ! Bartenders are super friendly & fun. Ani, Omar, Roy, Janet & Bruce are the daytime bartenders, evening bartenders are Virgina, Resa and Andy. My personal favorite is Virginia’s evening shift Wednesday-Saturday. The old school stained glass window is also unique and give’s it a pub type atmosphere. The wood paneling behind the bar has mysterious faces sketched into the knot holes, I often wonder if there is an Urban Legend behind them. The patrons … the older DAYTIME patrons like to sit at the corner of the bar. The afternoon and evening crowd tends to be of the younger set and more fun loving a little crazy at times, who enjoy playing pool, ping pong, pinball and singing and dancing to the old school juke box. They also they have an ATM Machine — No Credit Cards or Checks are Accepted. Food service is available evenings from 5pm — 10pm authentic Mexican Food by Sauel nightly with the exception of Wednesday is steak night, for $ 13.99 you get a huge Rib Eye Steak, Baked potato, veggie and a salad. Cheeseburger Saturday by Jose starts at 9am and Sunday morning breakfast is also served. Several TV’s surround the bar, where you can find most any live sporting event. Warning do not try and play music during sports !!! Come and check out this Diamond in the rough … you will be pleasantly surprised and feel very welcome. The Branch Office is the best little known bar in Torrance. Often referred to as the place where other bartenders come to drink ! Need I say More. See ya there and tell them Cali sent you ;)

When one thinks dive bar they think scary regulars, small and crowded. Well The Branch Office is none of the above. Besides having a snazzy name, The Branch Office is well lit inside. They have about a 10 stool bar, big screen tv, and 2 pool tables and darts. My favorite jewel in this hidden gem is the random table in the middle of the room with a red tablecloth. I was nervous going here for the first time since well… it is called the branch office and has no lit sign but going inside I realized I’ve been to scarier places with creepier creepers. Mostly Mexicans, I went on a Saturday but definitely a place to hit up if you don’t wanna bar with karaōke or a dance floor and are tired of the Lazy Dog, BJ, Lucky Strike scene at Del Amo Mall. A casual lounge/dive bar if you will.
