I usually don’t shop at this store because I find it to be relatively expensive. But I have been here three times to try and spend a $ 25 gift card. A few days before they closed the old store down, I purchased a cute lace cardigan for $ 15. I wore it to work for two hours and the cardigan ripped along the stitching on both shoulders and had threads unraveling from the sleeves! I was so disappointed because I loved the look of the cardigan, but the craftsmanship was awful. I called the store the next morning and was informed that they would be closed for a little over a week until the new store opened and I could receive a refund or a store credit at that time. So I waited until then. When the new store opened, I returned the cardigan and exchanged it for two layered necklaces. Before I could complete the transaction, the employee at the register asked me if I wanted to apply for the AE credit card. I politely declined, only to be asked another three times, «are you sure? Are you really sure?» I understand that he was doing his job and that they are instructed to entice customers to get the credit card, but pushing too hard tends to frustrate people. That kind of thing puts a damper on my shopping. After a few days of trying to make the layered necklaces work with my existing wardrobe, I decided that I didn’t like the length of them and opted to exchange them. I made the trek to the store only to be greeted by a sign at the entrance to the store that stated: «We can only take credit and cash today. We cannot do returns or take debit or gift cards.» So I couldn’t return my items or pay for it, ugh! I went inside to inquire if they were still experiencing problems. There was a manager(I assumed she was a manager by her blazer and dress pants) at the registers who rudely scoffed, «Did you not read the sign at the door? You can check back next week.» Next week?! The sign said that it was for«today» not«this week.» I was astounded that the manager, of all people, decided to take that attitude with a customer. I quickly left, frustrated by what occurred. I still have yet to go back to exchange the necklaces. I don’t know if I will.

Went into shop with my mom a day before they moved stores. My mom had a question and the guy there was busy helping a customer while the black girl there was just talking on the phone for a while clearly not anything business related whatsoever and fiddling with the merchandise trying to look busy. I mean, you think it would be easy to find better employees in a big city like this.

Manager or cashier 3994 or whoever she was never got off the phone. Not to greet us or ask if we were okay or not even when she was ringing us up. And from the sound of the phone call she was just talking to employees.

I usually love AE and great christmas gift buys; however, they left tags in the clothes for christmas. that was very hassling when you already gave the present and have to collect all of them back from my cousins. The door alarms at AE i guess dont work either. Very disappointed with AE. Worse off. They didnt provide any incentive or feel sorry when i brought them back. And they acted like we stole the merchandise going all like«WHERESYOURRECEIPT?!»

So heres the deal– If you are a store manager at any store, anywhere in the mall(pretty much anywhere in the world) during the final week leading up to christmas and you have 5 employees hanging out at P.O.S. and only one register open– Your days as a manager are numbered. One thing a store should not have a problem with is collecting $$$$$ at the register. I waited and waited thinking another register would open up but nope. I watched three other people step out of line and walk out. I was the fourth.

I am one of those men that go into a store and go directly to the product I want. So when shopping for jeans I decided to try out American Eagle because I heard their jeans were so comfortable. I went into this one at Del Amo mall and was politely greeted by a staff worker named Jamiela. She is a jeans expert and was able to fit me into the exact jeans I was looking for. I am over 30, so when she said«boot cut» I thought she was talking about bell bottoms, but she explained the different cuts to me. I aso got a good deal by «checking in» with Facebook… Unilocal need to help us get discounts. Anyway, when I checked out, I was assisted by Asia. She was also very friendly. Overall, I just enjoyed myself at American Eagle. I found the workers in Holister and A& F snobbish. T-Mac

I consider American Eagle to be a less-pretentious version of Abercrombie. You walk in and don’t have to look at giant pictures of half-naked young Caucasian people. You generally don’t have to deal with snooty staff who give you a hard time because you don’t know what’s up. No, you walk into this store and employees will help you if they can. It’s a fairly small store in my opinion, but not bad. I usually make it a point to come by if I go to Del Amo. I still think the stuff is generally too-expensive. But it seems a little less expensive than Abercrombie. Expect to pay around $ 30 for a polo shirt, $ 40 – 50 for a long sleeve button-down shirt, and around $ 60 for a pair of worn-look jeans. I guess that’s pretty standard these days. I would recommend giving the store a look if you’re into this style of clothes. The store is located on the Old Navy side of the mall. There is generally ample parking at the mall.
