Wolfe’s camera in Topeka will NEVEREVEREVER get my money again! I spent more for my cameras to shop home town first. And when I go ask for help to connect my flash with the new d7200(I bought from them). I get«that is a cheap flash from online and we’re not going to waste our time helping you with that»! AFTER they agreed to help when I bought the camera! Funny I have a friend that’s a bigger photographer than ANY of them(National Geographic and other magazines) and he’s the one that suggested this flash! Just cause you don’t carry it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t help a customer(or at least try and help). ESPECIALLY when you say you will and when that customer has spent PLENTY of money with you!

If you’re a camera and photography enthusiast, this is heaven. They have a massive selection of cameras(of all kinds) and camera/photography parts and ephemera. This spot is a downtown Topeka landmark.

Pure distilled awesomeness, Wolfe’s is one of the last shining beacons of non-box store electronics retailers in the midwest. Their consumer electronics side is chock full of everything you’d ever want, TV’s, computers, hardware, everything for the modern tech guru. Their camera side is simply the best camera store in a two hour radius, complete with anything and everything a professional photographer would need. Flash bulbs, diffusers, light-boxes, backgrounds, lenses, filters, SLR’s, the works. Need help picking the right item for your needs? Staffed with professional, knowledgable individuals, if the first person doesn’t know the answer personally, they’ll know somebody within 15ft. that will. Beautiful on the inside with hardwood floors and modern clear glass display cases, everything is quickly and easily viewed. The only downside of Wolfe’s is they tend to be 10−15% more expensive than a big-box retailer. Such is the curse of smaller, independent businesses it seems, but Wolfe’s more than makes it worth paying a bit more with their superior shopping experience and staff. It’s simply much more enjoyable than being herded like cattle into over-thought floor plans and accosted every 5 ft. by under-trained, non-caring $ 7.50/hr wage slaves.
