I was pretty disappointed by the trail, but was riding it on a cyclocross bike meant for gravel. Horses frequent this trail and when we rode it on 3÷8÷15, the trail was completely trashed from multiple horses riding it when it was wet(prints spread the entire trail, not a case of a couple single paths) It was a very very bumpy ride on what should have been a non-technical trail. Bummer. We ended up bailing and taking main roads back to our car parked at the Brown vs Board of Education Historic Site. If you are at the Brown v Board of Education Historic Site as your starting point, the first few miles are paved and despite the area being a little sketchy, it is a well maintained and clean trail that switches to gravel about 4ish miles in. Had high hopes until about 6 miles out when the horse prints started and they only got worse from there. Bailed about 12 miles in and took roads back to our car instead of the trail. Common sense has it that trails shouldn’t be used when wet, so stinks that those horse owners ruined it for others.
