The hotel could use some renovations, mainly the carpet. The carpet looks clean/well kept, it is just very dated and ages the hotel unnecessarily. Our room was clean, had a microwave and a mini fridge, desk w/chair, sofa, and a comfortable bed. Overall, it was a decent spot to stop for the night and an excellent price, even with our pet(pet fee is only $ 10!).

If at all possible, avoid the 100 series rooms. Perhaps these rooms have not been renovated yet, there were quite a few things that needed to be addressed. I truly wish we hadn’t forgotten our dreamsack(basically a condom for a bed). Wish I had taken photos of the bed linens, you could literally see that they were soiled but turned inward so it wouldn’t be noticed. Used the spares we found in the closet. They have the standard toiletries(Neutrogena brand), refrigerator/microwave combo, tea/coffee maker, and enough electrical outlets found on the nightstand and table for charging purposes. I’m surprised this room was deemed safe for guests. The towel racks and towel hooks in the bathroom were hanging down so low, it could come down on a guest’s head. The hooks on the bathroom door, did in fact fall and all I did was place a dry towel on it. Major safety faux pas. My travel companions said the inn’s only saving grace was that Hooters was within stumbling distance. You get what you pay for I suppose. Though I doubt anyone books a room here asking for a concussion

Quite pleased with my overnight stay. Was driving a family members ‘uhaul’ across the country for them.(Not sure what I was thinking.) And needed a place to crash after 9 hours in a horrible rental truck. Was able to find a great deal through Travelocity for the night. Comfortable bed… of course I was dead to the world after a couple of pints and some Arthur Bryant’s I picked up earlier while heading West. Nice hot shower and breakfast buffet the next morning before I rolled out. Truck wasn’t burglarized and neither was I, no complaints at all! Interweb hook up was even reasonably good.

We spent 3 nights here in June. Easy access from I-70 with clean, neat and well-maintained rooms with large flat-screen TV. The key-card entry is convenient, and the staff are nice, too. We liked the large free country breakfast of scrambled eggs, bacon, biscuits & gravy, fresh fruit, waffles, juice, cocoa and coffee. Where else can you get such a hearty breakfast included with the price of the room?! They also have a nice tree-filled courtyard and a family-friendly swimming pool. If you are in Topeka, stay here!

I’m always leery of non-chain hotels. For the price, this place does an excellent job! The rooms are very spacious compare to similarly rated national chains. The rooms are newly decorated and well kept. I suspect the next step in this locations renovation process will be the hallway carpeting/decorating. Easy on/off to I-70 with numerous other hotels and restaurants nearby. I’d definitely recommend it to my friends.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The room was really nice, with a really awesome bed, linens, Crabtree & Evelyn toiletries, and a great tv. Close to the interstate and lots of food options. The walls were a little thin, but not so thin we could hear every person walking down the hallway. Also not so thin that we could hear every time the exterior door(which was right next to our room) opened and closed. We didn’t take advantage of the bar/restaurant/breakfast, but it seemed like there was an okay selection of stuff. If we pass through Topeka again, we would definitely stay here.

We were on a cross country drive so this hotel worked as a one-night stay. It was easy and pet friendly — $ 10 fee per night to have a small dog. The room was non-smoking but it smelled like mildew. The room was clean and the shower had good water pressure. The front desk staff was kind and helpful, but not very knowledgeable about restaurants etc. so do your Unilocal homework if you want recommendations. Downside, the walls are really thin so if there is a group(esp a rowdy group) it may be hard for you to sleep. The included breakfast was ok — eggs, waffles, muffins etc. but not super tasty. Free wi-fi.
