I recently built a house that uses Vastola Heating & Cooling as one of the subcontractors. I’m borderline impressed with the work that they did. I’ll explain… The duct work is pretty clean looking and streamlined. With my house being a new build, I suppose you’d expect that the temperature would be comfortable with little wasted energy, but in many respects this is a testament to the quality furnace and duct work Vastola did install. Moreover, the humidifier does a bang up job as well. I’m was a little disappointed about a service call I had to make after we moved in. Our dryer is vented from the laundry room on the second floor to the side of the house, not the roof. Therefore, Vastola ran the vent across the joists of the attic floor. When I finally had a chance to get into the attic to store some things, I noticed the overwhelming smell of dryer exhaust. I checked out the vent and noticed it had come unattached from the outside wall. We called Vastola about the issue, and they came out to fix it, however, they were really defensive when they did so, almost as if they were accusing us of deliberately sabotaging our own dryer vent, which of course is ridiculous. I love dryer vents and would never do anything to harm one of them.
