Mighty Taco

I’d rather go to Midol Taco and experience Period Pains than ea there and end up on the toilet, if you know what I mean. Running to the toilet, more like.
Personal Experience: This was the Mighty Taco that was closest to the Colosso Taco I used to go to, so whenever I was out with Rob E (hi Rob!) I’d go there, and he’d come here. Occasionally, Colosso was already closed so we ended up here, sharing Tacos and sodas. I wasn’t very healthy back then and had awful taste in food. I was probably at this location five times. But *even* then, even all the way back then, I knew this was the worst stuff I’d ever eaten. I remember they used to pump money into the radio ad campaign. I know why. The taste alone would not bring people back. I just wish they’d invested that money to improve the taste of their ground beef and the quality of their tortillas.

There are lots of Buffalonians that know food, but those that tell you «if you are only in Buffalo one day, try Mighty Taco», or say «WNY has great food, for example, Mighty Taco», are not among them. They are what is affectionately known as delusional, and we would never be caught dead in the vicinity of Mighty Taco.
I once heard someone on Unilocal describe fans of Mighty Taco as suffering from the food version of Stockholm Syndrome. That would be hilariously funny if it wasn’t so regrettably true. Every location of MT is busier than every local Buffalonian food joint I have ever reviewed, and also busier than most other fast food outlets too. That last point is not a bad thing since I don’t like national chains anyway, but the former is a tragedy.
Buffalo DOES have some good Buffalo Tacos, in fact some amazing ones which have nothing to do with Mexican food, usually served by local Pizza/​Wing joints or even bars… but Mighty Taco is one step below Taco Bell.
Did you hear me? I said one step below Taco Bell. Yes. I know that seems impossible. Like a contradiction in terms. An oxymoron. But it’s true. I thought Taco Bell was the worst food on earth. Until I tried Mighty Taco. It is just… so… bad. Please, please, please stop associating this place with Buffalo. Buffalo has the best food of any small city in the USA… but Mighty Taco, along with Anchor Bar and Duff’s… is one big local embarrassment. The less famous places will rock your world. Awesome Cheap Eats. love their nacho cheese with the bits of jalapenos and I swear there Cola taste better in their fountain then from the manfractured in the bottle;I do not know why it just does.
