Ocean Organics Juice Bar & Cafe

My husband and I really like Ocean Organics. The food is very fresh and healthy. We frequent various vegan/​health food restaurants in Ocean and Monmouth county and we feel fortunate that we live so close to Ocean Organics being that it is one of our favorites. Some of my favorite things to order are the Grodzilla Burger, the Artisan if you are going for breakfast, and the pizzas are always delicious! I never leave without a Green Lemonade. The food can get expensive if you are bringing an entire family, but remember that you are what you eat. Ocean Organics always uses the freshest and healthiest ingredients.

Absolutely in love with Ocean Organics! This was our first experience and it did not disappoint. Because I was so excited to finally find a place with GF and vegan offerings we sorta ordered a lot. We had tofu scramble with GF toast and potatoes, GF French toast with berries, a veggie burger with vegan cheddar, lettuce, tomato, grilled peppers and onions as well as sprouts and then we had tiramisu and my hubby devoured a mint chocolate cupcake (although he said my cupcakes are better ;). We also had a berry cloudbreak (?) smoothie and Dos Locos coffee. Oh, and we took a chocolate chip cookie and a pound of coffee to go. Sheesh! I said we over ordered. Everything was fantastic! The place is adorable and the owner was very helpful and welcoming. We wish much success to the company and can’t wait to go back!

Going to school at the college down the road and eating healthy in this area are hard to do. The food on campus is generally fried and most of the surrounding restaurants are fast food joints or your typical pizza place. Enter Ocean Organics. A moderately priced but healthy change of pace. The juices are all fresh and taste great. I love the smoothies. The only downside to those would be prices. When it comes to smoothies, the add-​ons can get pricey. The juice also is on the pricey side for for fresh juice it’s actually the status quo so I can’t fault them for it.
As for the food, they have small baked goods. I’ve had a few and I’ve had no complaints. The protein balls make a nice snack during class.
The veggie burgers however are top-​notch. I hate veggie burgers. I’m almost always of the mindstate «why ruin a good burger by removing the cow» however whenever I come here my good to lunch is always a veggie burger. Definitley give this place a try if you’re willing to pay a little more (not much) for a healthier meal.

Their veggie burgers were incredibly dry and tasteless. For a vegan friendly place, they don’t even carry vegan mayo. I was incredibly disappointed, I REALLY wanted to like this place… but there aren’t many healthy vegan options in the area. In addition, service was horrendous. The tall, blonde young girl seemed to be annoyed upon my request for ketchup AND forks (she cleary wanted to be left alone). I felt like I was in a scene from Mean Girls. The server needs to be told that her high school popularity status doesn’t matter to me as a customer.

My in-​laws have a shore house in Toms River and I’m always looking for someplace healthy, which seems to be a rarity down here. Well today I finally found Ocean Organics and I’m in complete heaven!!!
I got a fresh Green Machine and two cold pressed Green Lemonades for the house. We also got black bean soup and a veggie chili that was to die for!!!
For something sweet, we took home some protein bites that were unbelievable!!!

I always love a place where I can get a nice fresh juice! Being organic is only an added bonus! I got their quesadilla and it was really good! The atmosphere is really laid back and the whole staff was really friendly and welcoming. I can’t wait to try more and to try one of their desserts. Although it was a bit on the expensive side, its to be expected. Your getting organic food, and even at the super market organic is more then the non-​organic. I will always be willing to pay more for the best quality :)

The feta/​date/​apple/​kale quesadilla was amazing, although I believe it was on the specials board and not part of the regular menu. Great selection of vegan and vegetarian options and tons of gluten/​dairy free stuff. Staff was friendly and knowledgable and café was clean. Great addition to ocean county!

Friendly, clean café with really good thoughtful, organic food. This isn’t a vegan or vegetarian restaurant but the menu is mostly vegetarian with a lot of vegan selections, including tofu scramble, a grilled tofu sandwich, hummus sandwich, vegan brownies, vegan chocolate chip cookies, and several different veggie burgers.
I had the green lemonade, grilled tofu sandwich, & chocolate chip cookie and all were excellent. I don’t usually go for vegetable juices but the green lemonade was nice and sweet and not bitter at all. The tofu sandwich was very flavorful and comes with lettuce and vegan cheese (tomato and sprouts cost extra). You have your choice of vegan cheeses here, including Teese and Follow Your Heart. The chocolate chip cookie was fair trade, which is an important issue, considering the human rights issues with chocolate production.
They also had a lot of gluten-​free choices and they’re planning to add more vegan & gluten-​free items.
One thing I didn’t like was the tablet screen where you pay with a credit card, and it asks how much of a tip you want to leave. I was planning to put cash into the tip jar, but I didn’t want to hit the «no tip» button. At restaurants where you get a paper credit card slip to sign, I just write «cash» on the tip line, so that anyone reviewing the receipts will see that I didn’t stiff the server, but you can’t do that on a screen that asks you how much of a tip you want to leave. But this was a very minor issue. The reason I’m not giving them a full 5 stars is because it’s not totally vegan or vegetarian.

This area desperately needs more healthy places like this. I know beggars can’t be choosers but I wish they weren’t operating on soccer mom hours during the winter so I would have more time to enjoy this place.
I’ve only ever come for their juice. So good.
