While the staff is cordial enough, the actual work they do is sub-par, and that is being generous. I was in a wedding party and had to get my hair and makeup done here, which turned out to be a gigantic waste of money. The stylist who did my hair did not do anything close to the picture that I showed her. While I understand that it would not have been an exact replica, if you are going to charge me $ 75, it should be fairly close. I actually had to ask her to re-do part of my hair as it was quite different from what I had wanted. Only a few minutes after she finished, some of my hair started falling out and she had to re-pin it. Unfortunately, it started falling out yet again at home and my sister(who has no experience with hair) had to pin it. On top of that, what little volume she gave me, ended up falling flat before the reception even began.(Note, the weather was perfect all day and no clothing went over my head after the appointment.) The stylist who did my makeup gave me the absolute worst makeup application that I have ever received in my life. The airbrushing, which was sloppy and amateur, aged me and showed very heavily on my face; there was nothing flawless about it. I asked for a gray and black smoky eye and she gave me a bronzed eye. There was only one choice of false lashes, which I find rather unprofessional. The only option they had was to cut down the lashes; however, there is much more that goes into a false lash than length. The glue even showed a bit in my makeup. Of course, the cheap eyelashes and terrible airbrushing all cost extra, on top of the $ 40 for the application itself, so I believe the total came to $ 65. I noticed that everyone other than the wedding party seemed to be regular customers, who I would imagine, get the same services time and time again. Perhaps D’jais rests too heavily on its base clientele and does not take the time to make sure their employees continue their education. While the prices they charge may be comparable to other local salons, they should be embarrassed by the work they do for such a high price. I have been to beauty schools with better outcomes than this«professional» salon. I have had my hair and makeup done countless times in my life, and I have never been as disappointed as I am in D’jais.

Let me start off by saying I’m not usually someone to take the time out and write a review BUT I got my nails done by Lisa two days before vacation. It took longer than it normally takes when I get my nails on(by other salons). An hour after I left a nail popped off. I went back and she tried to fix it by just putting extra glue on there. Keep in mind my nails generally stay on for three weeks at the least from other places. Not one apology was given from any of the workers and they made me feel as if I was the bother. The following day two other nails fell off. I called again and once AGAIN not one apology was given. I would also like to add that they are extremely unprofessional. There was another older blonde woman doing nails that was constantly speaking loudly on the cell phone and to her co workers speaking of stuff that definitely shouldn’t have been spoken of at work. I cannot speak for their hair service but as far as customer service and and the nail service in general I HIGHLY do not recommend this place.

i walked in, took about 7 – 8 minutes of people working on shelves in the same room as me to acknowledge me(awkward), i was acknowledged AFTER a customer they knew walked in after me, i was led back to have my hair washed by a young girl who complained about her job the whole time, then they led me to the haircutting area, my girl introuced herself, she was so nice! she listened, she did exactly as i asked-great. the two other workers who were 5 feet away and obviously talking about me made me a little ill at ease, but whatever-i mentioned this to the girl who was cutting my hair, she wispered«they’re horrible people”(GREATTTT!). i left very happy with my great haircut, she was the only one i tipped because she was the only one who performed a professional service-i went back one more time, for that stylist, she’s gone now so i can find better places to be treated like garbage for a $ 60.00 haircut.
