In the same building as the Antique Mall, is an equally interesting business whose focus is home décor, of a sort. There’s art in the traditional sense in the upstairs area, but the downstairs is devoted to other forms of home décor: floral arrangements, wall hangings, decorative paper and calendars, some dog and cat-themed goods, and toys for kids. Although the main floor is home décor, on the walls near the stairs is art in another form: primarily pottery that frames the stairs leading to the art gallery. If you enter through the doors to the antique side of the building, it’s an interesting dichotomy: beautiful things from a time gone past, that have lasted all these years, shown in subdued lighting befitting their age, and then the archway leading into the new, modern, brightly lit Cranberry Country Mall with its modern fare. As I walked from one section into the other, I wondered if the things in this new section would stand the same test of time as those in the section I left behind. It’s not a stately store, but it is a cute one.
