Pros — Lots of equipment to work on, new, includes tv.
–Friendly Staff
–Clean Facility
–Open 24 hours Mon through Friday 10pm
–Never have to wait for any bikes or treadmills
–Comfortable & Safe environment
Cons –Unable to use the facility on the weekends because they close at 5pm!
–Music section is bad and they play it loud, which would explain why 50% of clients wear headphones
–At night, there are few working lights in the parking lot, which is a security issue.
–Have to sign 12 month contract including $ 40 maintenance acct fee and a start up fee.

For $ 20/​month you get decent equipment, classes and unlimited tanning (both stand up and beds).
The parking lot size is adequate for the smaller size of the gym.
The music is chosen by the staff, it’s hit or miss but honestly, everyone watches tv or has an iPod.
Conclusion: great gym for the price

Updated April, 2015: It’s adequate, but nothing above average. Amazingly, the morning staff doesn’t know how to operate the TVs if you ask them to change the channel. For several weeks, there is no ESPN, and many people like SportsCenter for working out. And if you ask a staff member they say «the person who knows how to work the TV isn’t here.» Huh? Should not be a state secret to change a channel. Also, the TVs on elipticals and treadmills are poor — only a few channels and fuzzy reception on most. And the channels you get? Not what you’d work out to. Two more gripes: About half the lockers in the men’s locker room do not close/​latch so they are useless. Music, often awful techno, is sometimes so loud you can’t hear the music on your own iPhone. Pluses: Good assortment of equipment, very kind staff, relatively clean. Just wish they could change the channel.

Can’t complain too much when my membership is only $ 10 a month. It does get EXTREMELY crowded during peak hours, and you will have to wait for machines during those times, either that or change your routine every time you go, which can get frustrating. However, the staff is friendly and it’s a clean place, which is why I have a membership still.

I actually like this gym; compared to LA fitness it’s super clean, and people who work there are a lot nicer. The equipment is new, and is constantly updated. They also have awesome classes that are included.

Let’s start with the positives: the equipment is fine, and well maintained. The front-​desk people are usually nice, and the locker room is generally clean.
However, there are several aspects of this Cardio Express that leave me dwanting other options in the area. Parking can be an issue during weekday afternoons and evenings. The weekend hours leave much to be desired (c’mon, closing at 5pm?). This may sound petty, but the music they is beyond AWFUL! Yes, I bring my own music. but during those couple of minutes in the locker room when my headphones are off… I’d rather listen to someone scratch their nails on a blackboard than the techno/​pop crap they play :)

I was a member of the Vernon location for two years, and I only had to visit this one once to know I wasn’t going back to Vernon.
The gym is overcrowded at peak times, so you may have to wait for a machine if there is a specific one that you want. If you are flexible, you won’t have to wait. I suppose this is okay with me, as I only pay $ 10 bucks a month and can opt out any time.
There are classes, but they aren’t great because there is only a very small area dedicated for class use.
The gym is NOT 24 hours as it claims. It loses Friday night at 9pm (I believe) and is open Saturday and Sunday from 7am-​5pm.
If you are looking for something fancy, this isn’t for you. But all in all, the machines are new, the cardio equipment has attached TVs, and the staff is nice. It is definitely worth the low price I pay. (If you want to pay $ 20 a month, you get tanning, 50% off drinks, and ability to go to any location – which didn’t interest me.)
