Ramada Toledo Hotel and Conference Center

Bedding was less than adequate. Mattress was was unbearable. Pillows were awful. Hallway carpet was dirty throughout. Strange smell everywhere.

Our son’s wedding and reception were held at the Ramada Toledo Hotel recently. Though the area for the wedding itself was a bit cold and drab, and the smell of the chlorine from the pool behind the wedding stage was quite noticeable when first entering, the reception hall was anything but drab. The wedding planner was very efficient and accommodating, going so far as to send a meal to the bride and groom’s room for after the reception, since she knew they would be so busy during the reception that they would have little time to enjoy their meal! Everything was set up beforehand by the staff according to the bride and groom’s specifications, and packed up afterwards as well. I have been to other weddings where you have to pack up and haul everything after the event, even though everyone has been on their feet all day long. What a treat it was to not have to worry about this! As far as the food and service during the meal, it was excellent (it was a plated meal). One of the selections was a bourbon glazed salmon, and some said it was the best salmon they had ever had. One of our guests came late, after the meal was served, and they quickly provided him a meal upon request! We had no complaints, and would highly recommend this facility to anyone looking to schedule a similar event!

My family hosted a family reunion at this hotel.
The hotel is dated, if only you could go back in time to the 80’s this would be an awesome looking place. I have heard that it was really a destination (particularly the restaurant and bar) back in that day. The event ballroom was spacious with high ceilings. That room along with the other meeting and event rooms were the only things in the hotel that were not dated. They were either entirely renovated or simply newer than the rest of the building. The event staff was professional and very helpful, the hotel staff was good as well. The rooms were basic. No one in our party had problems with lack of cleanliness or dysfunctional amenities. The complimentary breakfast buffet was good and it was different every day which was nice. I didn’t swim but I did check out the pool area and it was nice.
A good place to consider for reunions or business events.

In the past I have stayed here numerous times to let the kids swim. I am a frequent traveler and a VIP in their rewards program. They still wanted a $ 250 cash or $ 500 credit card deposit today for 1 night. We canceled and are heading to holiday inn in Maumee that has water slides too.

This is not a 3-​star hotel as listed on the internet. It’s a 2-​star at the most! It is shabby and needs a lot of work. I paid extra for a small refrigerator and microwave oven. In the first room, the refrigerator door could barely open, so they replaced it with a newer one. Then when one of us took a shower, the bathtub clogged and filled with a half-​foot of water. We asked to move to another room, which they readily obliged. But the shower smelled, due to the shower curtain and mildew in the bathtub, I think. And the television did not work properly and at one point the cable went out. I was there in August 2012. Do not stay here.
