It’s average to below average food, at quality prices. The opposite of what I’ve come to expect for Chinese cuisine. I’m in the area a lot, and therefore end up eating here more often than I’d like. The fried rice dishes are ok, everything else has been average or worse. The egg drop soup is the worst I’ve ever had. Service is generally average in wait times, but if they are backed up, prepare to wait a long time. They don’t seem to know how to prep multiple dishes at a time. Dine in at your own risk, lobby area is dirty at times. I always get to go.

Best Chinese food ever! I’m a sales person and travel many states. When I’m near in Toledo, OH, I always get food here(lunch and dinner) Great taste of fried rice and their Szechuan chicken is AWESOME!

I don’t come back to Toledo, OH very often — but when I do, I try to stop by Ping On for Chinese. And I definitely don’t regret it! As always, the owners are still extremely hospitable! In fact, it seems they’ve gotten much busier — phones were ringing off the hook behind the counter. Either way, I ordered the obvious dishes — Deluxe Fried Rice(still the best fried rice in town!). It was clearly freshly made! The almond chicken was still as fluffy as before — didn’t taste heavy at all. I also tried the Special Lo Mein — which had a great texture and fresh ingredients. And, of course, I added several of their egg rolls(and their new spring rolls) — tasted homemade(unlike other restaurants where you can taste the frozenness)! I also love the innovation they are putting into their menu! After chit-chatting with the owners, it sounds like they’re coming up with new dishes on a quarterly basis to get a feel of what new things customers would want. Their current special is the Honey Garlic Chicken — which not only sounds good, but it IS delicious(I had to add this to the order). Thank you Ping On for being still the best Chinese food in town — the food was extremely tasty(and thanks for not putting msg in your food!).

I haven’t had Ping On in a few years so I thought Id check them out again. That was a huge mistake. The place was dirty, expensive, and really slow. When I finally got my food it looked and smelled awful, and tasted worse. The rice was dry and stale, the egg roll was old, and my entrée was not edible enough to share with my dog. Its now 4 hours later and im holding my stomach contents in. Very upsetting.

Aww, Ping On, what happened to you? On the annual holiday sojourn back to town this year, I basically ordered the left side of the lunch menu for the fam and brought it home. Everything was pretty gross. The fried things tasted like dirty oil. The pork was gristly, the sauce was bad. The only thing that was decent was the almond chicken, which doesn’t exist in New England, and it was honestly kind of bland. The only thing positive about the experience was the service and the price: like $ 30 for an absolute ton of food. This makes me sad.
