Monnettes’ Market

5 stars for the best produce variety in town! Great prices… make sure you choose well, as with most FIFO merchandise the oldest is pushed forward. A lot of times there will be mold or rotten fruit so be careful! If you can get to the fresh produce it will stay longer than any other produce in town. The deli really isn’t anything remarkable, but I disagree with the other Unilocaler who said the deli customer service is lacking. In my opinion that’s the only place to find good service there. In all fairness, it looks like there’s mostly high school and college kids working outside the deli, and I’m almost positive I’ve never actually seen a manager or boss in the building (and I visit multiple times a week) but hey, good for them that they can manage their business like this! I love the laid back atmosphere and will continue to shop there!

I asked Monnette’s to make up a meat/​cheese tray for family/​friends to partake in while at a funeral showing. I also ordered crackers, cookies and fruit. They cut the meat to fit the crackers and supplied grapes as the fruit so it was easy to eat for people who were dressed up. They even took an orange pepper and filled it with a very good mustard and put in the center of the tray.
Dave from the Deli Dept. took my order and was most helpful. He looked into to all of my questions and got back to me with helpful information and pricing. Kudos to Dave!

I love Monette’s! The variety of fresh produce has no limits! And the prices are great.
Big variety of items in the deli section. They always have some sale or another on different items. Best prices I’ve seen so far compared to other delis.
Their customer service skills are lacking though. Staff is not all that helpful nor are they cheerful, especially in the deli section.
For the most part everything is fresh. But they don’t always have produce in stock.

I’m a big — scratch that — HUGE fan of Monnette’s. It’s nice that you can glance up at the signage as you drive by to see what is on sale for the week. Honestly, this place offers the best produce around (other than at Fresh Market) for the price. I’ve never seen another grocery store come even close to quality and price. I can walk out of Monnette’s with a week’s worth of fresh produce for about $ 20, which makes me a very happy camper. Also, it’s worth checking out their deli area too — try the Red, White, and Bleu cheese — it’s fantastic! Can’t say enough good things about this place.
