Ordered two pies, had them cooked and ready to go in 15 minutes! The sauce is delicious! Would definitely order pick up again, the next time I’m in Toledo.

Toledo, we are here! We spent all day moving — loading a U-haul in the morning and unloading it the same night. The next day we are unpacking ALLDAYLONG! My body is really sore and I just want to order some pizza — it seems traditional. We dont have the internet yet so I am fudging around on my phone trying to find some place local that delivers. We tried Gino’s first — they don’t deliver. Then we found Jo-jo’s. It says they deliver, so I call them and ask for delivery. The lady says that they do not deliver and they have never delivered. BUT, I can call some 800 number and for an extra $ 6 and an automatic 12% tip someone will order for me, pick it up for me and bring it to my house. I was so tired and frustrated that I just said yes. It was pretty quick and painless. I didn’t tip at the door because some guy on the phone said the tip was included. The pizza arrived quickly and it was still hot — no big deal. We did end up paying $ 23 for a $ 14 pizza, but that’s more my fault than theirs. The first thing I notice is that the box clearly says that they deliver and the lady on the phone said that they never had. It seems like false advertising! The pizza was just okay. Pineapple and pepperoni, lots of pineapple not too much pepperoni. It was good in the moment. But probably not something I would do again — certainly not the delivery hoopla.

My Favorite time to go to Jo-Jos is on Monday or Wednesday during half price pizza night. During school a group of us would go at least once every two weeks, if not every week. The pizza there is thin, hand tossed and tastes homemade sauce, no fast food greasiness here! I’m prone to forgetting myself and eating far to much pizza because it is so thin. Often the best course of action is to order more pizza than you think you will want. My personal favorite combination here is Mushrooms and green olives(though I’ve been told this is weird) My friends adore the barbecue and taco pizza.

Is this the best pizza in town? No. However, once you have this pizza you will get insanely strong cravings satisfied only by eating half of a large pizza in one sitting. This is not a scary part of town– my husband and I will walk here(even at night) to relieve some of the guilt from eating so much pizza in one sitting. Go on Monday or Wednesday for half price pizza. We recommend eating next door at Papa Joes Saloon. If you are lucky Pat the bartender will be working and will make obscene jokes and tell you stories about saving his grandmother from choking. Put some quarters in the jukebox, sit back and people watch while you eat way more pizza than you should.

from 7÷13÷2011(catching up on all of my drafts). If only there was a place like this in Southern California. Great service and great pizza. One of the places I MUST go to when I am in Toledo. Cracker thin crust… tasty sauce… amazing cheese. Six people two large house pizzas, four side house salads, one antipasta, a craft of wine, bread, and three beers… cost… including tax and tip… $ 69.50. AMAZINGVALUE. GREATPIZZA. AWESOMEATTENTIVESERVICE.

The pizza is reasonably priced and the toppings are fresh. Very different from chain pizza places. The pizza has more of a homemade pizza feeling to it. We came when it wasn’t busy at all and the service was good and fairly quick.

I was brought here by my trusty 2011 Entertainment book and an inviting buy 1 get 1 free sub coupon. It was in a semi-scary part of town(although Toledo itself is generally scary) and parking was pretty hard to come by for a Wednesday night. Nevertheless, we were seated right away and greeted by a really butchy server who didn’t smile. We ordered hot wings as our appetizer, which came after what felt like forever. The wings itself were not at all impressive, and actually pretty soggy. I imagined they just were sitting out for a while and simply weren’t freshly made. I ordered a steak sub and it turned out okay. The ingredients used aren’t in the best shape, as proven by the lame pickle that accompanied my mediocre steak sandwich. All in all, I didn’t understand why the place was full of people.
