Unmatched variety of Chinese cuisine, beautiful atmosphere and friendly, attentive staff. The elaborate fish aquarium at the entrance is eye catching and enchanting. We saw many guests pause to look at the rare fish as they entered. The seating area is large and comfortable. A Mongolian Chef will prepare your hand-selected ingredients to create a personalized specialty just for you. This is a nice added feature included in the very reasonable buffet price. The buffet aisles with the many different delicacies could have been organized in a better way. We had to endure long lines of guests, all waiting for one or two very slow movers to get through the line. Such a fiasco could be easily avoided by having several smaller stations with food, each accessible from several points, so more people can fill their plates simultaneously. During a rush, more people could be served more quickly, without anyone getting annoyed with a stagnant serving line. — Overall this was a very pleasant dining experience, and we will most certainly return. For the budget minded buffet fan, this is a highly recommended restaurant. Perhaps with time, Hong Kong Buffet will change their lay-out to incorporate suggestions as mentioned here.

Went there last night, they have changed their offering on the crab legs. Saw a lady got into an argument with the owner about the crab legs. The lady complained about they should offer unlimited crab legs since it’s a buffet. They now only let you take a limited on the crab legs, and the two hours I was there, they only had one round of that. My families really likes the crab legs, too bad they have limits on that now. We have to go to Happy Rose for that then. If you wants to eat more if the crab legs, don’t go here. Otherwise, their food are alright, service is kind of slow.

Came here with the fam for lunch on a Saturday and had a decent meal. They have all the typical buffet offerings, plus make-to-order Hibachi and a sushi section. The actual buffet food wasn’t terribly impressive and I struggled to find things I would eat again the second go-around. I did enjoy the egg-drop soup, vermicelli noodles, and spicy shrimp dish. The sushi was actually quite decent and much better than other buffet sushi in my opinion; they had maybe about 10 types of rolls, including fresh salmon and tuna rolls. The Hibachi grill also offered additional options(steak, beef, shrimp, + veggies) and was pretty tasty(would recommend the garlic sauce + house sauce!). They also have a ton of desserts available for those with a sweet tooth, including 8 flavors of ice cream lol. Overall, at $ 7.50/person for lunch, I can’t really complain if some of the food wasn’t great. There were definitely enough options to keep me happy! Also, apparently they offer lobster for special occasions(Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, etc), so keep an eye out!

Tried this place for dinner as my group was wanting Chinese buffet. The food was good for a buffet. The service was poor.

We go there about once a month. Last visit food was warm/cold. Going to try a new place to see if it may be better for this place seems to be losing their touch. Price went up but quality went down.

Great food, sushi was wonderful. Kids loved the assortment of kid friendly food(pizza, crab legs, french fries, ice cream). Husband loved $ 1 miller lites. This was our first time going and we will definitely be back.

For Toledo, this is one of their best buffets. Nice atmosphere with a koi pond and a bridge. The buffet includes a hibachi grill, a sushi bar, and a large buffet. The staff was friendly and attentive. The buffet consisted af a lot of the typical foods that one would find at an ameri-Chinese restaurant including everything from chicken wings to «general tso’s chicken». But all the extras including the sushi bar and hibachi makes this place truly unique in the region. With the décor, it didn’t feel like the typical«feed trough» which many buffets succumb to. Plus, a wide variety which is great if you have picky children):

5 stars for environment! One of the nicest I have been in. The food: adequate, well-prepared, but not spicy.

Not one of the best buffets I have been to, but definitely one of the best around Toledo. Lunch price $ 7.50 — hard to beat for the selection…

Decided to try this place for lunch after church today. Sunday lunch is actually«dinner» so the price was $ 10.50 for my wife and I and $ 4.95 for our daughter(4). the place is very clean and stylish. Buffet is about 100 feet long for hot foods and dim sum. About 30 feet of salad and dessert. A very decent tepenyaki-style grill with great fresh veg and Shrimp, Pork, Chicken and slices of Strip Steak. There was also a respectable sushi area. Saw a chef making it off to the side and I had Very good California Rolls, Crab JB Roll, Veggie Roll and some VERY fresh Tuna Nigiri. They had three other fish in Nigiri form as well. Nice. Cold. Crisp. Tender. All things you want in Sushi. The only negative is that the soy sauce was REALLY salty. I would have liked the low sodium variety. They had terrific pan fried dumplings. Fried a little more than normal, but the filling was awesome. The Shao Mei were great. A steamed dumpling with pork filling was well seasoned and with a paper thin tender wrapper. Crab Rangoon was creamy and not overly flavored of scallion. They had an excellent Steamed Peach Bun and something I have never had before… a coconut dumpling. This was shaped like a small steamed dumpling but it was almost gelatinous and had a creamy coconut custard inside and a smattering of coconut outside. i filled up on this stuff and the only thing I had besides was a crispy eggroll and some really good green beans. I guess I need to wait until the next visit to try the entrees. Yes, there will be a next time. I was impressed and the food all looked fresh and inviting.

Every time I fly into Toledo I have to visit Hong Kong Buffet. The food is excellent and the service friendly. The stir fry is my favorite, but everything is really good. And while it can get busy at times, there is always an open table.

Just your typical chinese buffet. Food was just OK, but nothing to brag about. A little more selection than most. The biggest plus was, it was cleaner than your average Chinese restuarant.

This is the best buffet in town. Lots of selections, always fresh & hot, delicious sushi, & hibachi. Reasonably priced. Whatever they cook the little chicken wings in is fantastic! If I lived closer, I would frequent it more often… you can get takeout by the pound.

Really good lunch buffet. Great price — less than 8 bucks. Lots of seafood and steamed options. Good sushi and amazing hibachi. I was amazed that there was so much seafood and shrimp on the table. They even had steak on the grill as a choice.

Hong Kong Buffet isn’t the greatest place that I’ve experienced, but it’s not bad. Considering that I’ve recently moved to the Toledo area, I will probably be going back at some point in time. The price is slightly steep for the dinner buffet but it does include sushi, which wasn’t that fresh. There is quite a variety in the buffet but not nearly as much as other Chinese buffets that I’ve been to. If you like Chinese food, and you’re not picky, then this place will probably satisfy you.

Really hard to describe just how many hundreds of items on this buffet! Great selection of sushi, being made constantly, and a Mongolian style raw grill. I prefer fish, and they only had one fish– Basa sautéed in a light garlic– butter sauce, that was ok. I think I got a piece that had been on the warming tray for a while. The butter shrimp was good, as were the whole fried shrimp, the bok choyi, and the sautéed green beans. The variety was amazing, with various traditional Chinese chicken and shrimp dishes, and BBQ ribs, chicken satay, sweet/sour chicken, etc, etc. And leave room for dessert, everything from 6 – 7 fresh fruit selections, to various cakes, pies, jello, cookies, puddings, and eight kinds of ice cream, that you scoop yourself from the freezer bin. The peach bun, with the sweet bean curd filling, was a treat. Tea is $ 1 extra, as are other beverages, I think. Great deal here if you are hungry, but not sure what you want.

Unfortunately, for the last few yrs I tend to have to spend most of my time at the hospital down the street when I come to town. Otherwise, I wouldn’t even know this place existed as it is buried in a strip mall. This is one of the better Chinese buffets I have visited in my lifetime, and I have actually been to China(where buffets aren’t super popular, but they keep the food coming at all times). I have tried almost every Chinese dish on that buffet and there is nothing I have disliked. It’s definitely Americanized Chinese food, but it’s a very good. They even make my fav Chinese snack from scratch, sesame peanuts, which I have yet to see anywhere else in America and filled my pockets with on the way out. The best part: it is absurdly cheap, something like $ 7/person for lunch. It literally costs more to eat at Chipotle, and they don’t give you bottomless burritos. I highly recommend this place for some cheap eats if you’re in the neighborhood.

I ordered take out from here on 8÷21÷13 and was really impressed by the quality of food and service! My husband was impressed as well and that is saying alot, because he can be super picky with Chinese food. Usually when I order Chinese I get Hot and Sour soup and Garlic Chicken. The garlic chicken actually tasted like it had real spices in it and not some generic gravy that is put on everything in the restaurant. There were lots of flavors and different vegetables on my plate(like squash). All of it was cooked well and the portion sizes are just great. IN fact the small size was to much food for me. LOL. My husband and I will have to go back for the buffet because if the food is that good for take out, then the rest will be! The staff is friendly and the restaurant is sooooo pretty!!!

My first impression of Hong Kong buffet the first time I went there was that it was absolutely beautiful inside. The décor is all very lovely, and eating in gives the feel of eating somewhere nicer than just a buffet. The food itself is good. Some of the food is better than others, and they don’t always have some things on the buffet, which can be a bummer if you are hungry for something that was there last time but isn’t this time. Overall though, I like the food a lot. They are a little but more pricey than some of the other buffets jb the area, especially for their take out buffet, but other than that, there aren’t many complaints I have.
