This is the recent reincarnation of the former Claudia’s Natural Food Market, which I understand filed bankruptcy. They seem to be back up on their feet and thriving, and I was so excited to find a real organic food market in Toledo! They have a medium-sized selection of organic produce. Produce is frequently on sale at great prices when things have lightly ‘aged’ — I frequently buy their ‘sale’ broccoli and peppers, and have never had any complaints. :) They also have a wide selection of frozen foods, including meats and eggs from Omega Meats in Grand Rapids, OH — the best eggs I’ve found in the area, free range and organically fed. Also a good selection of organic dairy, yogurt, and the like. Other stuff: — Good selection of bulk foods, including bulk granola — yay! — Small selection of breads and gluten-free treats baked fresh on site My only criticism is that they are heavily pushing hCG as a weight loss tool, which from what I’ve seen is pure snake oil, and suggests 500 kcal/day food restriction, which isn’t sane, sustainable, or healthy, imho. But I suspect they’re doing it to try to drum up business, and because it’s what’s expected in the ‘health foods’ atmosphere. :-/That’s a major turnoff for me, but I’ll put up with it for the good organic food.
