Fairfield Inn & Suites

Had a great stay early last week while in Toledo on business. My room was excellent and featured a separate bedroom and sitting area, large bathroom, nice decorator touches, ample storage and it was immaculately clean. The mattress and bedding were very nice. And the room was quiet.
The receptionist was friendly. The woman staffing the breakfast room was cheery and nice. She even got more yogurt for me. The hot entrees looked good and were kept stocked. The tables were continuously bussed, though the thoughtful crowd the morning I was in mostly cleaned up after themselves.
Situated 3 minutes off of I-​75, the clientele seemed to be business people, families and school groups passing through, and long haul truckers. This isn’t a destination hotel unless you’re in «town» for the races. There’s a speedway next door.
The hotel parking area and entry ways are well-​lit and security was apparent. However, I’d be careful about driving around at night. The hotel abuts a large industrial area and has a lot of sketchy strip clubs and bars peppered among warehouses, factories and vacant lots.
There’s a handful of markets and fast food places in the immediate area. There’s a splurge steakhouse about 10 minutes away called Mancy’s. Check out my review.
I’d stay here again when in the area. This hotel is a good value.

It’s your typical Fairfield Inn & Suites.
Pro’s:
+ The staff was friendly
+ Free WiFi with decent strength
+ Location: Within walking distance of a Meijer and for racing fans, it is right next to the Toledo Speedway
+ Standard free breakfast offerings if you don’t have any dietary restrictions
Cons:
— Location: There really isn’t anything near the hotel. You will need a car if you want to go out to eat.
Overall decent hotel option if you need to stay in this part of Toledo, but far out if you want to be downtown Toledo.

Hotel is clean. My issue with this hotel is they have one pillow type, I had four pillows on the king bed and they were all extremely firm. I called the front desk and they brought me up two more pillows, two more of the exact same type of pillow. Every Marriott (549 nights) hotel I have stayed at in the last five years had various pillow types. This is a management fail in my book.

After confirming my rooms on 3 separate occasions, my family and I arrived at this hotel, after 12 hours of travel, only to find out the did not have my rooms, or the pack n play that was confirmed for my baby. Confirmation numbers and promises are pointless at this unprofessional hotel.

Horrible service!!! Cancelled my reservation and claimed they couldn’t get a hold of me! Very poor system. I would give 5 negative stars if that was an option. Booked a room through their website a month in advance for business. They claimed they tried to bill my cc and had no luck then they tried to say there was no contact information to get a hold of me. I had put my phone number and email (which was included in my own copy of my confirmation) when I booked online.
Showed up to check in and discovered that due to not being able to correctly charge my cc and due to «not» having a contact number they cancelled my reservation and re-​sold it to the first available person. One of the employees even said that the phone miners do not always come through with online reservations. They had no other rooms available. Extremely poor service and excuses on their end. UNPROFESSIONAL… The main employee behind the desk was not even heart apologetic, but kept saying nothing he could do and putting blame on general manager. Sorry Marriott you just forever lost my business and I will make sure to tell everyone I know.

I’m spending 3 weeks here for work in Toledo, OH and the moment I got to my hotel I was greeted, professionally taken care of and always came back to the hotel with a sense of security knowing that my personal belongings were in good hands, my room would be cleaned while I was gone and that I could peacefully enjoy my stay here. I will say, I am truly happy my company has booked me with such an awesome place!
I encourage ANYONE and EVERYONE who comes here to visit family, friends or in my case, work. to stay at the Fairfield Inn & Suites in Toledo, OH. LOVE IT and I will definitely miss this place when I’m back in Atlanta.

What else is there to say really? This is an excellent little hotel, we really enjoyed our stay.
Loved that the pool was open until midnight… awesome after a long day on the road!
Stayed January 2012, traveled with friends

Stayed here on a recent trip to KY. We booked via Priceline on the road, and checked in around midnight. No problems. Large Room, clean, comfortable with a nice hot breakfast buffet in the morning. Friendly staff, free parking, good wifi. Cannot comment on the pool or gym as we left first thing in the morning. Good Hotel.

WONDERFUL hotel — especially considering the room rate (I booked via
). Nearly new, this hotel is nicely located for business in the greater Toledo/​Sylvania area. The room was fabulous, the service was excellent, and it was right where I needed it to be. They offer a nice indoor pool and spa, and a full breakfast buffet with free USA Today in the mornings. You have a choice of hot sausages and scrambled eggs, and 3 kinds of breakfast sandwich, along with fruit, eggs, and the usual choices.
My room was large — 2 king beds, wonderful bed — clean and as nice as it could be. I can’t believe this hotel is priced as it is!
There are a number of dining choices nearby — a Bob Evans restaurant is within walking distance (closes at 10 PM), along with several fast food choices. But within a mile or two there are many «sit down» restaurants as well.
I have made this my standard «go to» hotel when on business in Toledo.
