Church’s Chicken

Ok granted this is a chain fried chicken joint where food and service can vary on any given day.
Here is my experience. I went inside to place my to go order.
Appearance– This place was dirty. Food on the floors and trash left by customers on the tables. Employes were standing behind the counter chatting and having a good olé time. I wasn’t even acknowledged by the staff until the cashier approached her station and said «what can I get you».
Order– I ordered a chicken finger meal and a 3 piece mixed meal. I also used a coupon for 2 homemade biscuits for 99 cents. In total I should have received 4 biscuits.
I only received two. Once I arrived home which is only 1 mile away our food was already cold and they also forgot an additional side of Mac and cheese I ordered! It was my fault for not completely checking the order before I left. To boot, the chicken in the mixed 3 piece meal was all dark. The food we did receive was very sub par and we had to reheat it in the microwave .
I will not return here ! It’s upsetting that there are no good fried chicken places at all in Toledo. The service is always poor and the food is subpar. I’m better off reheating fried chicken bought out of the freezer department !
If anyone knows of a great place with good service please let me know. I can also be forgiving of the service if the food is good!

Church’s chicken is pretty average. I went on a Tuesday for their 2 piece special, and the meat on the chicken was a little more than I thought it would be, so that was a pleasant surprise. All in all good enough to satisfy my craving of fried chicken.
