B.M.Chen Restaurant

For sure our new favorite Chinese restaurant. We ordered the egg drop soup, hot and sour soup, general tso chicken, shrimp fried rice, vegetable lo mein, and egg roll. All were delicious. And I’m a picky eater. Vegetables were crisp and super fresh. Rice had amazing flavor and our favorite was general tso chicken! Chicken was crispy and not heavily battered like most places. We lo ed it.

My family’s new favorite place in Toledo for Asian cuisine! Best egg rolls in town too! Sauces are all unique and perfected and I literally have no complaints… prices are right too! :-)

The food was fresh, flavorful and absolutely delicious! We had the General Tso’s chicken, the Walnut Shrimp, & the fried rice – all were tasty! The portions were quite generous and a cup of soup came with the meals. The staff were extremely nice/​efficient. Do to the VERY affordable price of the meal, we left them a 50% tip! We are from Wisconsin and plan to eat at BM Chen’s every time we pass through the area!

My favorite dishes so far are their hot and sour soup, egg drop soup and General Tso’s Chicken. I can’t wait to try a few more of their authentic dishes. The lemon chicken was plentiful but it was a very over powering sauce. It wasn’t my cup of tea. But the service and food here are top notch!

I had the general tso’s chicken, rice, an egg roll, and the spicy and hot soup! The customer service was great. The portions were huge! The rice however wasn’t the white rice I was expecting it is fried rice. The soup is a bit spicy but I love spicy food! I will definitely be back to Chens to try the highly talked about lemon chicken!

This was the first time we’ve eaten here. The food was amazing. The general tso has a nice sweet flavor and the egg rolls had the perfect light breading. The rest of our party really enjoyed their food as well. Definitely coming back!!!

I am from Wisconsin and I am visiting a friend in Ann Arbor Michigan. We heard this restaurant has authentic Chinese food so here we are. The food was very good. We ordered Chinese vegetable, sweet and sour pork chop, boiled spicy fish, dried potato chicken etc. The food is very good and delicious in good price. The staff is very friendly. Highly recommend this restaurant. Will definitely come back next time.

Authentic Chinese! This place gets it! Great customer service and most importantly the food is great! We typically order their Hot and Sour soup which is the best I have tasted domestically that I can remember! IT is served warm and does kick a punch in relation to spice. If you are not one for spicy flavor this isn’t a good soup for you but if you are IT IS A WINNER! I typically get either the General Tso’s chicken or the Lemon Chicken which have both been winner’s! Compared to other Chinese they do not serve these dishes bathing in sauce. There is ample sauce but not so much that it is drowning in it. If you are looking for an authentic Chinese restaurant in Toledo and one where the customer service and prices are right, I definitely recommend BM Chen’s!

Got recommended to this place by a coworker and have been there several times with different groups of people. The food is excellent! The waiters are very friendly. Will return and highly recommend to friends!

I was coming back from Detroit, and was craving some Chinese food like no other, so I decided to try this place out. I called right at 11 when they opened (yes, I was desperate) and ordered the General Tso’s lunch special with a large side of the egg drop soup. The girl who took my order and who I talked to when I went to pick it up was very polite and friendly, exactly what customer service should be.
Since it was a lunch special, it was cheap (although not as cheap as some other places) so I have no complaints about the price. With the lunch special, I got a good sized serving of chicken, an ok serving of rice (wishing there was a little more), and an egg roll. My soup was pretty big, which I was happy about.
I tried the egg drop soup first. It was only okay, not bad or anything but I’ve definitely had better at some other places. Next, I tried the egg roll, which was great! Definitely the best egg roll I’ve had in Toledo so far, and I’m not even a huge fan of egg rolls. The rice that I got was ham fried (standard for the lunch combo), and it was really good as well. The chicken, however, was much better than most places. I loved it, the sauce wasn’t too sugary or generic, and it had a nice kick to as well. Plus, the chicken was fried perfectly, which makes it that much better.
Next time I go back (and yes, I plan to go back soon), I want to try something off the authentic Chinese menu, which I’ve heard is really good, especially for Toledo.

Aah-​mazing! This is some of the best Chinese cuisine I’ve had outside the mainland. The menu is gigantic, with an American-​friendly section as well as a more authentic array of dishes. Everything is family style, so bring friends.
