I would leave no stars but it does not allow for that. I have been here many times and will never go back after my experience last night. I had a 5:30 reservation. We were seated in a back room that was freezing cold. Waitress just kept apologizing said heat was on etc. Another table got to move to another room, we were not offered that option as it appears the other table were«regulars». I did not want to make a scene as I was with my parents but normally I would have walked out. At a minium they could have comp our drinks but dinner really should have been on the house. I called when I got home to speak to the manager and the hostess who is the owner’s mother said there was nothing she could but would leave him a message. It was very cold out I understand that however, if you run a business you need to make sure your guests are comfortable. They had to know the room was freezing before we arrived and if they did not have enough space in the restaurant I should have received a telephone to be made aware of the situation and I could have decided if I still wanted to come or cancel. This was nothing more than greed get as many as you can in no matter what! We were treated very poorly!

Moulin Rouge is not one of your bright lights preppy place. The prices are very reasonable for the quality. This is a nice cozy spot from yesterday and for those who remember dishes such as stuffed chicken breast and chateaubriand. The service is like being at someone’s home This is not going out to party this is a dinning experience. Relaxing excellent food and superb service

I’ve driven by many times, always thought I’d try it someday. From the outside, it’s a small red house, a little run down. Looks like it’s been there a long time. On the inside, knotty pine paneling, white table cloths. It has been there a long time. Menu probably hasn’t changed in 40 years. Vaguely French food, what a fancy suburban restaurant might have served in the 1970s. Historic food: Cold iceberg lettuce salad. Frozen green beens. Plate of crackers in plastic wrappers. Tasteless bread. Butter in tiny plastic tubs. Even the sour cream for the baked potato was in a plastic cup(the potato itself was OK). Beets in some sort of thick red sauce. Duck served flambé, badly, in overly sweet, overly salty sauce. Not much real flavor to anything. The service was equally unsatisfactory. And pricey too. Most entrees $ 20-$ 30. To be fair: it’s not my kind of place. But a shame it’s not even a good example of what it is.

Just ok… I’ve had better. Had good fillet and passable Cesar salad. Not worth the prices. Service ok too.

If you like great food and don’t care too much about a modern atmosphere than this is the right place for you. My BF grew up in LC and I’ve driven past this place a hundred times and it never stood out as a «must go there» place, but man am I glad it was suggested as a place to celebrate some family birthdays. The food was outstanding. Plain and simple. Everything had flavor, my meat was cooked to perfection, and serving sizes are just right. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of my meal and will definitely be going back!

I have wanted to stop by this place for years now and never got around to it for one reason or another but this week it was restaurant week and they were part of the special. With that we were off and from the start we were not too thrilled that the menu for the restaurant week was soo limited that we had to get something from the regular menu. It was ok but nothing to brag about. I had the baked stuffed shrimp. It was a bit dry and over cooked as the shrimp was a bit rubbery. The baked potato was flavorless and No matter how much butter I placed on it there was no helping it or saving what little flavor it had. The atmosphere was nice though but that was were the nice stuff ended :(. I give the two stars because my husband actually enjoyed his meal quite a bit. He had the filet mignon. He said it was the tastiest tender steak he has had in a while. Then again he is accustomed to eating at Portuguese places where they over cook the steaks all the time.

Moulin Rouge in our area is a tradition. We went for Valentine’s day and had the best meal. We were surprised that there weren’t more French wines, but found an excellent Cabernet by the bottle. The blue cheese dressing tasted home made(we love a good home made dressing!) and the filet was top quality, and cooked perfectly rare. After all the free salad, bread and vegetables, we took most of our meal home for lunch the next day. Excellent quality food with old school New England preparation. Highly recommend for date night or whenever.

Moulin Rouge is one of my favorite restaurants. The food is absolutely delicious. Caesar salad is quite good and very well prepared. All the waitresses are so friendly and polite. I have tried almost everything on the menu and it all has been superb! For dessert, you can’t go wrong with Cherries Jubilee — warm cherries served over cool ice cream. Be sure to check this restaurant out!

I have now been here around 4 times this year and it is always fantastic. The food is cooked perfectly and delicious. The staff is wonderful and while it is a tad bit expensive… for what you get it is worthwhile! The peppercorn parm salad dressing is to die for!

This place looooves to Flambé tableside… duck, steak, apples, you name it. I absolutely recommend the Caesar salad for two. It might very well be the best caesar salad ever. Loaded with freshly cooked bacon, homemade croutons, awwwwwesome dressing — all prepared tableside. Our meals were hard to rate cause the entrees, Sirloin Flambé and a Rack of Lamb were really good, especially the lamb. But the sides were super weak. Steak could have used less sauce after the Flambé, but both were well seasoned and cooked a perfect medium. We both ordered some fancy sounding sliced potatoes which were code for sliced baked potatoes in a bowl of butter and herbs. Tasted decent enough, but we only got one bowl and then two other bowls. One was a giant bowl of beets. The other, a bowl of soggy, spicy green beans. I understand that we were surrounded by rich old couples in their 70’s(matching the décor perfectly), but the side orders really took away from the main dish in a drastic way. They need a little more pride in the side order department. As I mentioned, the décor is drastically outdated and this place could seriously use a makeover to match their well-made entrees. Cheesecake for dessert was delicious but again with an unflattering presentation. Overall, I’d definitely come again and probably will when I want to blow some money(yes it’s a little pricey and yes you probably want to put on your nice jeans).

We have been to Moulin Rouge 3 time and twice was on Mother’s Day. We had an awesome experience this year and the food was amazing and the staff was friendly. For 6 people with apps and soups, the bill came to under $ 170. The stuffed Sole was AWESOME and I am usually a meat person.
