I know that I can always get a wonderful vegetarian lunch or dinner rich in flavor and textures. Art adjusts some of the menu items on request. My favorite end of meal delight ss their homemade ginger ice cream. The staff is warm and friendly.

All and all, good food and great service. I was a little disappointed with the portion size and I am not a big eater. I had the lamb chops which there were plenty of but the sides seemed fairly under proportioned. The plating of the food was not terribly impressive. My wife had the salmon salad. The salmon was very good but again the amount of spinach seemed undersized for the price and thrown on the plate. The service and atmosphere was great. They seemed pretty busy and maybe things were getting rushed. I would definitely return.

Please note this restaurant has a completely different lunch menu. Sandwiches, burgers, salads. I had the seasonal bisque which was sweet potato and pear. A little too sweet for my taste. And the chicken salad sounded like it would be good. It has pineapple and pecans but it was just average. I was intrigued by the Asian fusion menu and was totally disappointed when I found that the lunch menu was just average.

Went last night with a small group. Most had stir fry bowls which were all reported as excellent. Walleye sandwich was good but a bit overwhelmed by the bread. Nice little wine and beer list. Found a Sonoma wine we really liked. Overall consistently solid service. I’d like to give it 4.5 but can’t figure out how!

Tried Greenfire based on other reviews last evening and were delighted to find it! Especially right off the highway. We were warmly welcomed and service was prompt. Had the Singapore Noodles and they were terrific– noodles well seasoned with lots of veggies, chicken, shrimp, and char siu. Another great find at Greenfire is the wine list– not huge, but nicely balanced with a good selection of interesting and affordable wines– domestic and international.

I’ve been to various restaurants owned by Art Chin, and I’ve always enjoyed his food. This newest version of his Asian-Fusion cuisine proves to be fresh and enjoyable as always. I stopped in late in the evening and had a seat at the bar. A handful of people were seated at the bar, and one table had a couple at it. Normally I wouldn’t have gone into a restaurant 40 minutes before close, but I was assured that it would be no problem whatsoever. Art was standing behind the bar chatting with people and having a glass of wine, the bartender was tremendously friendly and talkative. All the guests/staff seemed to know everyone else by name. The atmosphere was very inviting and friendly without being loud. I just wanted a light meal so I had the pan seared scallops appetizer, which were quite good. Nicely done, good crust without being more than medium rare in the middle. Great sauce, and a bit of escarole. Simple, delicious. To stick with being light I then had the smoked salmon salad. Since this is a creamy dressing, and there was bacon I wouldn’t exactly call it «light», but it still wasn’t heavy or overly dressed. Very fresh, and though I forgot to ask, I think the salmon was smoked in-house from the way it looked/tasted; it didn’t look like packaged or pre prepared smoked salmon. The wine list was also quite impressive. It’s not a large list, but the diversity is very nice with selections from all over the world. I particularly appreciate this as that I find so many lists end up settling on mostly Californian/Oregon wines with the consolation Argentinian malbec. I ended up having a very nice dry French white, and then a fairly fruity and light French red. Both were reasonably priced. I didn’t look at the beer list This is a very limited review, and I’ll certainly have to go back again soon and update my review with more information, but I definitely recommend Greenfire Bistro.

My husband and I brought our parents here and everyone really liked their meals. I enjoyed their Indian Tikki Masala, my husband a chicken stir fry. Our parents had fish sandwiches and burgers. They have really good sweet potatoes fries. The staff was excellent and friendly. When we are back in Tipp City we will be back!

Not my favorite. I can cook many Asian dishes from many Asian back grounds(our family is asian). The flavors were very mixed up and did not quit sit well with me. When I seen the menu, and seen they offered lamb chops and walleye I was excited to find a place that offered such rare and good meats. I had the lamb chops, they were pretty basic, disappointed they didn’t come with some type of sauce. My husband had the walleye and the breading/crust on it was thick and the fish so thin you it was like eating a mouth full of breading. A light flavored fish like walleye is difficult to cook with breading. The breading often over powers it. On Unilocal everyone raved about the noodles, so we took some home because we wanted to give the place every chance to show us good food. Once we got them we broke out laughing because they are nothing more than cheap rice stick noodles that anyone can buy at any grocery store for $ 4.99. These noodles are actually a national dish of ours, and we could not eat them. I like to stay open to new stuff, but I just did not find a dish that made me want to run back.

Another great restaurant by Art Chen. This is one of the few local and unique dining experiences in the Dayton area. I speak for all six of us from our table, we loved it — and we think you’ll love.

Another great value. Just had appetizers for dinner but I would rate it as excellent. Scallops. The lamb chops also top notch.

First time here! Food and service was very good! I like the seating outside. You have to try their hot & sour soup… I think that’s what it’s called, but it’s good!

OMGosh! This place is awesome! I ordered the Singapore Noodles. The noodles were thin rice noodles. The spices and flavoring was amazing. I could really taste the curry they had added sauce. Plenty of shrimp, along with chicken and pork. Seriously the best noodle dish I’ve had in the Dayton(ish) area. I was here for a 26-member wedding rehearsal dinner. The staff did a great job catering to all of our drink and food needs. Josh, our waiter for the entire party, was interactive, friendly, and a real go-getter. Drinks orders were filled within a blink of an eye. Art, the owner and chef, came out to check on us at least 5 times. The setting was nice. Everything was great.

We were driving from Little Rock Arkansas to Michigan and needed some dinner. It was just before closing but luckily there was a bowl of mushroom soup left. It was wonderful and just what I needed. My husband enjoyed a really nice salad with fresh greens and chicken. So glad we found this pkace. Bookmarking it as we are often travelling through Ohio.

First time dining here — what great experience! I had Mahi Mahi with Grouper cheeks served with ginger, shitake mushrooms on top of a bed of basmati rice and asparagus. Best tasting meal I have had! The wait staff are very friendly and totally on top of servicing you. My wife and I; will be coming back very soon. This is a must dining experience. Special thanks to Joshua and Tammy for their attentive service.

This is one of the best in the Troy/Tipp area(our favorite). Fantastic chef/owner who knows flavors inside and out. From Asian, to pacific rim, to Italian, to American, the dishes always impress. Service is fantastic and the atmosphere is very nice. Everything I’ve had on the menu has been great but I highly recommend any seafood special that is offered. They are by far the best seafood dishes I’ve had in this area. You can also purchase fresh fish to bring home. Here you get to experience fish/seafood that you dont see on menus around here.(day boat scallops/cod, grouper, red snapper, copper river salmon, escolar, etc…) If you are in the area, do your self a favor and try it out.

My wife and I came to Greenfire Bistro with another couple and had a wonderful experience. The wait staff was very attentive, very helpful in giving suggestions for our meals, and very patient. Thanks Traci! The owner made sure to welcome us and thank us for our patronage… a very nice personal touch.(Art, the wine you suggested was awesome by the way.) The cuisine is probably best phrased as American Nouveau… everything from specialized fish dinners, to steaks, and also Italian and Asian. They had something for everyone. If you come to Tipp City this is a must visit.

Pretty good place. I did the«create your own bowl» and happened to be there on a Wednesday — half price wine. I will go back to place especially if i’m in Tipp City again on a Wednesday. The guy working the bar was really friendly.

Always a special treat. We are monthly, or more, regulars. Art and Carol treat guests as family, and strive to always have the freshest, interesting seafood with a new and different ‘asian fusion’ influence and spice. Their wine collection — and knowledgeable wine steward have never disappointed. A large beer selection makes people we go with very happy. Our favorite thing is to go with a group of friends or business visitors, and simply say ‘feed us’ — and step back as an array of family style appetizers, soup, salads and entrees arrive — paced well, colorfully arranged, and artfully done. yes, one can order ‘Chinese stir fry’(made your way with choices of protein, sauce, sides; and huge; but the in-crowd leaves those traditional Chinese to lesser places, and go with lamb lollypops, fresh seafood, beef or unusual poultry creations. ps– leave room for the chocolate wontons; but wear a napkin bib. hot chocolate squirts.

Fusion cuisine always seems to miss the mark, except rarely. This wasn’t such an instance. I ordered carry-out, so I’ll only be commenting on the food. I got the Szechwan noodles with chicken, pork and shrimp — spicy. It wasn’t that spicy, like thai food for example. The noodles are thin, rice noodles and there were a few veggies. Portions were generous, so be prepared to share. The noodle dish came with fried rice, in case you are really craving carbs, however, there was also a good amount of meat. The dish was definitely lacking in spice, not just heat, but it turned out pretty bland and I was disappointed. The prices are more than traditional Chinese or Thai places, even the notable ones in downtown Dayton. The staff was helpful and friendly as I waited at the bar for my food. The bar also had an extensive selection of bottled beers. The place was well appointed but could get pretty loud if you had a large group or if it was packed. In all, it’s not a bad place to visit if you are in Tipp City craving some asian food. I do not think that the food itself earned this place 4 – 5 stars, so perhaps some of the other reviewers were basing their ratings with that in mind(as would I). But I think that the current average rating on Unilocal makes this place a little over-rated.
