Cowanesque Lake is a great place to have a cheap and relaxing vacation. My friends and I go every year when it gets nice & hot. The lake is pretty big, with lots of secret spots to fish, swim, and boat. There’s a small swimming «beach», with sand for children to play in.
I believe they have daily events in the summer for all ages. There’s a laundry facility, clean restrooms, showers, and a small store on the other side of the lake.
The park rangers are nice people and always help out when needed.
It’s inexpensive to stay here. We always camp at the hike-​in sites, and it’s usually about $ 18 a day, depending on what day of the week you stay.

Cowanesque lake was built by the army corps of engenieers, and is located in tioga county, north-​central pennsylvania. its a pretty awesome lake where you can boat, fish and camp. it is very beautiful in the fall when the leaves start to change colors. right along the ny /​penna border.
