We went for the first time a few weeks ago and dined in. Good stuffed pizza but the cheese doesn’t stay on the pizza and slides off… It is really odd. Everyone seemed to know each other which was nice(staff and customers). What seemed weird was the server sitting with the couple dining next to us and another woman who worked there stood there and talked to them during our entire meal. We ordered 2 beers and the same people directly next to us were commenting on our ages which seemed rude. We ordered a thin crust pizza last night– which I picked up. It had a nice flavor, very thin and not much to the crust. Good jalapeño poppers.

Best Pizza in the world. You can not beat it. The Pizza looks like a little thin thing. But it is filling, It has the finest ingredients and perfect spice combination. We used to eat that Pizza in the 1970’s over on 63rd St. off of California on the Southwest side of Chicago. I have one word for the Pizza.{ DELICIOUS}.***** 5 Star AAAAAA+++++++

The pizza is usually very good, but every once in a while can be a bit inconsistent in preparation. Overall, I like this place and will continue to be a frequent customer.

My favorite thin crust pizza! Started coming here every Monday(20% off pizza!) as a family ritual years ago. I live in California now but always am sure to make a visit to Little Joes when I’m in town.

What a fantastic place! I’ve eaten in the restaurant at well as had their catering numerous times. The best homemade Italian sausage I’ve ever had. Excellent tasting food with large portions! I would recommend to anyone!

I came here for a paint nite. I had been drinking iced tea as I had already ate. So I saw the cannoli and thought it would be perfect. Now the service and atmosphere were fine. The one star review is for the frozen cannoli that they nuked for a half an hour and served it to me soggy. The most disgusting thing I have seen or tasted in a long time. The only reason that I did not complain is that I used the fork for my painting as it was more useful than trying to revive the warm turd I was served.

While visiting from my comfy river – front condo, in the Dells, Nostalgia took over. In the old days, I lived at 61st and Mozart. As a family, we ordered a pizza, every Saturday night, to enjoy while watching the Blackhawks, on Channel 9. My son, suggested we make the long drive to Tinley, to see if Little Joe’s, still had their«Magic.» I can attest, it definately does… in fact, the whole menu, has been upgraded. As an appetizer, we had some sauteed mushrooms, minestrone soup, cheese strips, and fried calamarri. Everything, was just delicious. We couldn’t have enjoyed them more. Ah…but we saved the best… for last. THEPIZZA! In every aspect… the sauce, the sausage, the crust! It was as though we were in a time warp. It was SUPERB!!! Every time, in the future, when I return to my home town, my first stop will be to our beloved LITTLEJOE’S. The only reason I am not giving them a fifth star… is the location of our table. We had made reservations, and were seated immediately. But the location of our table, was along the main path, to the kitchen. The constant scurrying of servers, was a distraction. The place was very busy. In all honesty, this location, SURPASSES the old 63rd street location. Considering, the state that our country finds itself, thanks to the feckless incompetent in the white house, this visit down memory lane, was exquisite. Can’t wait to return… Glen B

From the first time i walked in years ago, till today. I love this place. Its kinda hidden from the street, small very casual in front more of a dining room in back. Pizza taste great, I absolutely love the salad with house dressing. You cant go wrong here. Cant say this for the 1 in frankfort though. Totally 180 degree difference. I live in frankfort and still order from here instead because the order is always right, and the pizza hot.

Was in the area with a friend and decided to stop to grab a bite. Food was good. Service was subpar, however they were really busy with a party, & they made it right by taking off a percentage of our bill(we didn’t have to ask). You could tell it was in house made sauce, yummy, & the flavor of the pizza was great. Unfortunately it was lukewarm when we got it. Overall, I would stop in again if I was in the area.

Super cute place with very warm, friendly employees. The food was super delicious and they give big servings of pizza, pasta, and appetizers. Our server was an absolutely sweet woman who was great working with people and remember all our orders.

Great, small place. Pizza is very good but one con is their crust. It is like cardboard. Everything else on point.

Have been wanting to try this place for years. The pizza *does* taste like the old 63rd Street recipe — I grew up just a few blocks from that place. I remember the sausage had a lot of fennel, as it does here. The pizza is good, but truth be told, it’s pretty interchangeable with a lot of similar places of the same vintage on the south side and in the south burbs. The Greek salad was very good. Service was fine. And the $ 5.75 half carafe of house Cabernet was a bargain and drinkable. Finally, the prices seem reasonable — 6.95 for a BIG salad and 10.55 for a 3-topping 10-inch pizza. Nothing exciting about this place but certainly no complaints, either.

I’ve been coming to this place for as long as I can remember. My friends and I used to walk here after school to eat when we were in Junior High. The pizza has always been great. I don’t think I’ve ever had anything other than appetizers and pizza. They also offer pizza slices for lunch which is nice. I believe they have good weekly specials such as buy one get one pasta. I’ll continue coming to this place.

I grew up in pizza-country(Chicago). When I was a kid, Little Joes use to be one og the neighborhood«go-to» joints(Southside on 63rd St.) l’d eat there all the time. The same quality pizza is being served now, as was 40 years ago. My favorite is thin crust … Italian sausage, cheese, and green pepper. Service is good, waitresses friendly, prices reasonable. They also have a great steak sandwich served on garlic bread … oh and I highly recommend the fried zucchini

One of the best thin crust pizzas I’ve had in years. Thin crust and crispy. Awesome sauce too! I’ve eaten Vito and nicks for years this blows them away.

I did carry-out and the pizza was really good. If you are a healthy eater, don’t go with the regular gluten-free, look for Jeni’s recipe. Jeni is a whole food naturalist of sorts with a food blog and book that my wife has. She helped them with a paleo recipe and it is fantastic! You will not find a healthier or tastier paleo crust anywhere!

I’ve been to Little Joe’s several times over the past 6 months. Always come here for the pizza which is excellent. If you like a thin crust, this is the place. The service is always good. Very friendly staff. Usually not a wait or not a long wait to get seated. Next time I’ll be a little more adventurous and try something else off the menu.

My family has been eating here for 15 years. Thought it was about time to credit them for the delicious food and great value. We love the lasagna. The sauce is rich and both the mozzarella cheese and ricotta filling are quality. Entrée comes with soup or salad. They bring bread to the table AND a bowl of butter pats. They bring a big icy carafe of water for the table. The portions are so generous, we eat half and take home half. All for under $ 10 each. They even offer a 2 for ! pasta night. The house wines come in carafes, half and whole. Half carafe of wine, about $ 8, and that’s about 3 glasses. Over at the chains on Lagrange Row, it’s over $ 8 for one glass of wine. My son orders the pizza, it’s crispy if you eat it there. There is no pizza delivered that tastes as crispy and yummy as one served right out of the oven, on a metal pan on a stand in the middle of your table. We tried a chain italian restaurant off 94th, the one that has the walls covered with cliched«italian» items and serves only«family-style» portions, not individual portions of pasta, but the sauces were very bland. We all said, «we should have gone to Little Joe’s.» Little Joe’s is old school style of dining out. Generous helpings of quality food with most entrees under $ 15. Lots of regulars and families like us, enjoying a night out together.
