This was my go to place when I didn’t want to cook. Unfortunately I went there yesterday and they are now closed. Signage and everything gone. Restaurant empty. I’m sorry to see them go. Loved their Greek chicken and potato.

This was our first time eating here but it definitely won’t be the last. The food was delicious, the prices great, and the customer service was awesome. They have a variety of meats and veggies. I only gave them a four because I think they could have a better variety of drinks and the serving sizes were humongous. Other wise, great place to eat.

I am a frequent customer at Chicken Wild and they can never go wrong with their food. Everything is always fresh and the service is always efficient. However, I call in often to order food for delivery and the young girl who answers the phone is so very unfriendly and unhappy! She is especially rude when she delivers the food. She does not say one word to me! Just takes the money, gives me the food, and walks away. Despite that this does not change the quality and quantity of the food, it would be nice to have some type of friendly service!

There were 4 of us, 2 adults and 2 kids. The BBQ wrap was delicious. Sweet-smokey BBQ sauce was a nice change from ordinary BBQ joint sauce. The salmon was perfectly seasoned and portion was generous. The kids meals are why we can’t give 5 stars… the first one had the chicken strips. There were 4, super skinny strips(not much more than McDs French fries) and these shoe string strips were laid out on top of a TON of fries… my son was quite disappointed as he doesn’t really eat potatoes and the chicken was so tough from being over cooked, he had to dip in ketchup. My daughter had the kids shrimp, again way too many fries in comparison to the amount of shrimp. The shrimp was tasty but very few in the ¼ pound stated. We will return and will try new things. All if it looked delicious and the store was clean :) Bonus was that the girls behind the counter were very friendly and helpful as we had lots of questions being newbies.

I go to this spot for lunch about 3 times a week. There is always such a variety of food options, everything is so fresh and tasty! Being Greek myself I can say it is very authentic, everything is made that day and everything is so reasonably priced. It is seriously a hidden Gem! If you’re looking for healthy good quality food at a great price this is the place to go!

We purchased a Living Social deal for $ 25 for $ 50 catering for my daughter’s graduation party. Ordering was easy and the staff was helpful and informative. Pick up was also easy and quick. We ordered the pulled pork. My wife and daughters are ambivelent about pulled pork and my son doesn’t like it at all. I like it and have had it at many places but we got it as part of a larger spread and bought mini buns so people could make small sandwiches. When I got home after picking it up, they all wanted to try it. Eventually I had to fight them off(including my son who doesn’t like pulled pork) so we would have some left for the party. It is as good or better than any I have had. While I was there I also bought a Tilapia wrap and that was also very good. I would definitely buy from them again, even without a Living Social deal.

I went there hoping to try the pineapple and they did not make it that day. :(The owner was great, walked smelling ribs and was not sure he cut me off some to try and they were amazing! He likes to switch it up a bit, there is always something new or different. Looking forward to going back and trying the pineapple.

I was one of the early customers when Chicken Wild opened its doors and I have to be honest my initial impression wasn’t that great as I found some of the meats as the rotisserie chicken, beef brisket and/or pulled pork either under-seasoned or dry. But boy oh boy how quickly things change. As with any restaurant, I always give them a second chance and tryout. I met John who is one of the nicest and coolest owners you can meet and is always welcoming you like any cool Greek dude would. Today Chicken Wild lives up to it’s namesake and offers arguably the best rotisserie chicken in the area including the store bought stuff which if you look carefully contain allot of sulfates and artificial flavors. To sell Greek chicken you have to be a mad man or a genius or both and I think John is both. He takes customer feedback seriously and is a true skilled man behind the counter. As simple as it sounds, it’s more complicated than that. Anyone can roast a chicken, but if you don’t season it well or cook it right you can f*ck it up quick. Which brings me to my next point and reason I love this place. Virtually everything here is homemade including all the side dishes. All natural ingredients, no processed foods found here outside of maybe the bread/rolls. Otherwise, all the food here is sold fresh and can feel good about what you are shoving down your throat. There are so many chain restaurants in the area that Chicken Wild has been my go to place now and often find myself there 2 or 3x a week for healthier food alternative options. Whatever John did to spruce up his delicious Greek offerings, virtually all of his food whether its his special sandwiches, combo plates or family meals they are all top notch and perfectly seasoned, just as any good Greek cuisine should be. He is also not afraid to introduce and experiment with new items on his menu. He has several weekly specials from baked Tilapia or Salmon, juicy succulent beef in in it’s own roasted veggies and au ju sauce, to traditional Greek Pastitsio, Lamb and even shrimp. One of my favorite items I like to order is the combo meals such as the brisket and pulled pork with choice of 2 sides. Depending on the day, you can chose anything from sweet peas, lemon soup, glazed carrots, fire roasted pineapple chunks, rice pilaf, salads, mashed potatoes, roasted Greek potatoes to name a few. Some may argue the prices are a bit high, but I counter that and say for what you are getting with high quality ingredients and freshness plus a personable touch with the owner on premises, it’s worth every penny. I rather pay $ 10 for a meal that is tastier, homemade fresh and healthier, then the artificial garbage chain food restaurants offer. I am in support of small business owners and nothing like this if being offered anywhere in Tinley/Orland park area. I also happen to workout just a few doors down in the Charter Fitness gym and after a hard days of iron pumping, I come here and get some of that delicious yard bird or fish and always hits the spot. So go ahead don’t take my word for it, check it out for yourself and meet John and Co. they are very nice people and try some great Greek food!

This was a recommendation that I try this place. From the outside it looks like another fast food place but it’s conveniently located in a pop-up mall on the corner of 159th& Harlem. When I walked in, it was like a smörgåsbord behind the glass counter. Don’t let the name fool you. They have more than just chicken. Fish, pork, beef, salads and sides. I had the ¼ rotisserie chicken with garlic mashed taters & a side salad. The chicken literally fell off the bone and was moist and tender with excellent flavoring. The greens were fresh and the potatoes hit the spot. The owner is behind the counter with his sleeves rolled up preparing and service and the gal that took our order is an asset to this business. She is warm and friendly. You almost feel at home here. I’ll be back.

Our favorite«fast GREAT food» place in the South suburbs. John Mihalos is as warm as a summer day, greets every guest with a sincere gratitude and serves food so darn tasty, you may wonder if your Mom is in the kitchen!

I like this place, as it offers several semi-healthy dishes for take out. However, the rotisserie chicken needs to be improved upon, as it tastes dry and has very low amounts of seasoning. As one reviewer noted, the Sam’s Club down the street literally has better tasting rotisserie chicken! Other dishes at this establishment include lamb and salmon, and many Greek style sides. Again, the food seems under-flavored, which keeps me from wanting to return in favor of other restaurants, such as carry out from the Patio. The Owner needs to make small improvements to enhance flavor, as I suspect he is someone who possesses unusually sensitive flavor buds yet believes his food is flavorful.

Chicken Wild is one of my favorite quick service restaurants in the south suburbs. The food is consistently delicious and the owner is very hospitable. They have daily and weekly specials along with a number of sides to choose from. My favorite dish is the chicken and peppers(when they have it) with carrots and cauliflower. Other specials include salmon, tilapia, pulled pork, macaroni and cheese, and stuffed peppers. I would definitely recommend Chicken Wild!

The pricing and seating is what you find in fast food places but this is anything but fast food. As other Unilocalers have mentioned, the food is made from scratch. The choices that day were two fish dishes plus 3 chicken dishes. I stuck with the house specialty — the rotisserie chicken. I got a quarter side of juicy seasoned rotisserie chicken with two sides and a roll for $ 6.99. That’s the regular price — not a lunchtime special. The sides I got were the mac and cheese and a seasoned cole slaw. The chicken was really meaty because even I was full for my $ 6.99. And I got a coupon for a future visit for checking in.

Delicious and healthy food at a great price! My favorites are the rotisserie chicken, beef brisket, salmon, and on the weekends lamb. My experience has been that the portions are generous. There are many sides to choose from, but I usually get the same thing: carrots and green beans or bean salad. From time to time John(the owner) will make some of his family recipes for the daily special, and that is always a nice surprise. The only thing missing is Greek coffee!

I am being VERY generous by giving this place 3 stars. I really am. I had high expectations and, unfortunately, a not-so-good experience. I will start by saying what was good. I ordered the special of the day, spinach stuffed chicken breast, and that was superb! Flavorful, juicy, good portion for $ 4.99 with two sides. The rotisserie pineapple was also a fine treat. A previous poster suggested that the business uses canned pineapple, but that is SOOO not the case! This stuff tasted like baked apples, only pineapples. Yum! We also had some baklava and, although it appears that it is purchased and not made on-site, you HAVEGOT to taste this stuff! So good. Now let’s talk about what wasn’t good, or even edible for that matter. They are known for their rotisserie chicken… sorry guys. Our half-chicken was so dry, the skin was leathery and the wing and leg COMPLETELY inedible! It must have been spinning for hours because it was completely disgusting. You guys really can’t be serving chicken like that if you expect to stay in business. And the roasted potatoes. Now these were actually edible, but just not good. If the owners of the restaurant are truly Mediterranean, they should be ashamed of themselves. Where is the skin? My potatoes were mushy and overcooked and missing the best part… THESKIN. Also, they were doused with so much lemon that they made my lips pucker. Lemon is great and all, but use sparingly. Let me know when things have improved and I will give you guys another shot and, possibly, a better rating. I really do want to like your restaurant, but it needs some major improvement!

The salmon was one of the best I have ever tried! I bought a Unilocal deal and got a ton of food for 10 bucks! Salmon, vegtables, pineapple, fruit salad, dinner roll and Baklava! The pineapples are fresh(they were on the rotisserie when I walked in) everything was wonderful really. This will be on my go to list! Thank you

I just read an article in the paper about this place opening up. It is a rotisserie restaurant, the philosophy being comfort food at a fast food pace. I thought, hm, my husband likes rotisserie, and so tonight we decided to try it out. In case you’re worried it’ll be another Boston Market, don’t be! The flavor is amazing. We bought a family pack rotisserie chicken, garlic mashed potatoes, and rotisserie pineapple. My husband and I were skeptical, but the pineapple tastes really good! It is flavored with cinnamon and other spices, it kind of reminded me of a homemade apple pie. I think this is the first time in a long time I’ve had food from a restaurant you didn’t have to season a lot when you got home. The seasonings come through in the food, and I think the pineapple is in the same area as the chicken so when the pineapple juice drips on the chicken it has a wonderful sweet flavor. There are other flavors — pork, brisket, chicken breast, and there are other sides too. We look forward to going back and trying more things. My husband was impressed by the friendly atmosphere at this family run spot. Great food at a great price.
