This shop has really gone down hill fast. Bad attitude and sloppy work.

I have had top notch Japanese auto service at Timonium Citgo(now Crown) for almost 25 years. While it may not be the cheapest place in town, John, the head mechanic, is honest, and that is worth a lot.

My family always used to go to Fred Yoo’s Timonium Citgo(now a Crown station) for service on our Hondas where John Colson is the ace service manager, but geographical changes forced us to use other, closer shops over the subsequent years. When I bought my used 2003 Honda Civic, I went to the Honda dealership for a while, but only because it was closer to where I lived. But, as everyone knows, dealership shops suck. The last time I went to the Towson Heritage Honda shop, they had my car for 2 days and didn’t do anything because they couldn’t replicate the grating noise told them was probably related to the rotor or brakes; but they didn’t investigate either and their«I dunno» service consisted of calling me «buddy» and smiling. Pathetic. So I went back to the drawing board and decided to use Timonium Citgo again. John knew exactly what the problem in, immediately took the wheel off to examine the brakes(it was rust) and solved it that morning, all for $ 45. The best!

I am driving my 2003 Camry until it has an expensive repair. I was pleased to pay for a oil change, with no additional services. In the past, we used Firestone with the 6 months credit for an engine light, for $ 4,300. Citgo only charged for the oil change.

Soon to be Timonium Crown Station! This place is your basic gas station w/small convience store– with added plus– they specialize in Japanese auto repair. It’s tucked away on Timonium Road — you’ll never see it from York Road. I haven’t had major work done here — then again, we drive Toyotas, so we’ve never needed any major work here! Which is why I haven’t given it 5 stars– but if I ever do need something major and they do me right, I’ll update and bump them up! I have had cars inspected here before selling them, oil changes, tires de-nailed and plugged, etc. And these guys are always helfpul and pleasant. If you get a nail in your tire, they will pop you right in, only charge 10 bucks or so. Firestone f-d me with an oil change by overfilling me.(Firestone was close to my office! Never again!). The Citgo guys whisked me right in, drained my excess oil off, done in the less than 15 minutes– NOCHARGE!!! This will be my new go-to place for auto repair. Another plus– and a tip off that these are good people– THEYHAVEFREEAIRFORYOURTIRES!!!
