Just moving to the area, I came to the decision it was time to stop traveling an hour to get my hair done. I went onto Unilocal and «Image Is… Salon» had nothing but amazing reviews! At first I was a little nervous because it was a big pick and I wanted a successful trip, but Image is stayed strong to their amazing reviews. I walked in with amazing service and happy and welcoming people! Kaila, the lady who cut my hair, gave me a tour and introduced me to the variety of services they provided. I just got a hair cut, but Kaila was amazing!!! She helped me so much with tips and hair knowledge and you can tell she loves what she does! She did an amazing job on my long bob and took the time to show me how to get volume and do a soft curl! To top it off, she had such a fun spirt and amazing personality to socialize with! At the end I got to meet the owner and she was just as awesome, sweet, and informative! 5 stars Image is… Salon! I can’t wait for my next appointment!

Very happy with my cut from Kaila! She took her time and really listened to me and what I needed. The receptionist is amazing, I called and she was able to help fit me in over the phone. This was my first visit so they made a point to show me around, offered me drinks, explained the sales, and even gave me a welcome package with coupons for additional new services.
Bring cash for tipping! You can pay for services using your card but they only accept cash tips.
I will definitely go to Kaila again for my future hair cuts and when I’m ready to color!

I have been going to Cara at Image Is… for a year and a half. I first went in because I had destroyed my hair with an at home attempt at a soap cap followed by dying my hair purple. Cara had her work cut out for her, to say the least. She transformed my jet black and blue streaked hair with bright red roots into a shiny and perfect dark plum color. I kept this for about six months and decided to get a little crazy and do a red to blonde ombré. This took a lot of work, planning, and time but I wouldn’t have trusted or thought anyone could do it besides Cara.
Everyone that works here is nice and they try to make you as comfortable as possible and if anything goes wrong they are willing to do whatever they can to make you happy. One time I went in for an appointment and someone had not added me into the computer even though I had made the appointment through email. They gave me a huge discount and worked it in so that I could see another person that day. When I was not fully satisfied with the result, Cara met me on her day off at the salon and fixed it for me free of charge.
Also some of the shampoo girls deserve a medal for their head massages!
I 150% recommend going to see Cara for your hair needs. She is amazing! Make sure you book in advance though because her schedule is tight since her clients love her (me included).

Buying a Living Social or Groupon for a haircut can be a risky business! I saw a good deal for Image Is Salon and decided that if got a bad vibe right away I could always just simply ask for a split-​end trim and blow try. However, I was pleasantly surprised with my experience.
I was greeted immediately and offered water right away, which was a godsend given that it was 90+ degrees out! Then, I was giving a really brief tour of the entire facility (massage room, pedicure areas, salon stations, waiting area with coffee/​tea/​water/​candy.) I barely had to wait at all for my stylist, Kaila, who turned out to be a gem. Not only was she sweet, friendly and cute as a button, but she did a GREAT job. I truly felt like she was listening to me and I appreciated how she explained tips on how to style it myself at home. I was really pleased with my haircut and will definitely be back to see her again.
At the end, Kaila did NOT pressure me to buy products, but she did point out that because of my Living Social deal, I would be getting a ‘goodie bag’ which included coupons, one of which was good for 25% off product if I bought it that day. I can’t pass up a deal, so Kaila helped me pick out mini trial size versions of Pureology products which came with a cute travel bag. The goodie bag contains various other coupons for other services. This attention to detail and customer service shows that Image Is truly cares about their clients and wants to build their customer base by doing a great job and offering incentives, too.
Glad I tried Image Is and will certainly return to see Kaila.

I went to Image Is… and got partial highlights with cut and style using a LivingSocial deal. With Livingsocial/​Groupon deals, you typically get an appointment with newer or less experienced stylists and, at other salons, I have felt at times, also a somewhat lower level of service than full-​paying customers. Amira did my hair and it was one of the best experiences I have had getting my hair colored. When I arrived and told her it was my first time visiting, she showed me around the the salon and explained all of the services they offer. I felt like a truly valued customer, despite it being my first visit (with a discount coupon, no less). The stylists really seem to enjoy working at this salon, and Amira answered all of my questions about the highlighting process and what products were used when/​why, etc. It did take a bit longer than it probably should have — I was there around 2.5 hours, but I got at least double the highlights as at other salons where I’ve gotten partials done. Also, I told Amira I had an event that evening, so instead of just blowing my hair out after the cut, she went over it with a curling iron and made it look absolutely gorgeous. On top of all that, since it was my first visit, I got 25% off any products (I purchased a travel size hair spray for doing my own curls at home) and a goodie bag from the salon including coupons for 30% off any service I hadn’t received (so anything but partial highlights), as well as one for a free brow wax, face-​framing highlights, or conditioning treatment with any paid service. The customer service and attention to detail at this salon so impressed me that I will definitely be back!

Beautiful. clean, pride of ownership and professional! So pleased I discovered this salon thanks to a «Living Social» special online. I am so happy with the cut and color I had today and appreciate all the time that Danielle spent with me and I liked that she cared about my opinion regarding the style and color tone. Upon moving back to Maryland in September, I was super sad to leave my stylist behind and try to find a new person to cut my hair. After bad experiences in both cut and coloring, I was nervous about starting the search again. My best friend referred me to Image Is, specifically to Shannon, her stylist. My friend and I both have short hair and she told me Shannon was great with cutting short hair. So I took a chance and booked an appointment.
I have absolutely no complaints! Shannon is an total sweetheart– very friendly, easy to talk to, and knows her stuff. There have been a few kinks which were ironed out smoothly (after an early visit, one part of my hair was too long and it was driving me crazy, so I went back to have it fixed between appointments). My hair always looks great and she does a fantastic job on my eyebrows too! I recommended my mother to her (since my mom has short hair and can never find someone to cut it the way she likes) and my mom’s super happy with her too.
I’m so glad I found Image Is! The manager is also fantastic; I completely messed up my appointment time and ended up missing it, but they were able to squeeze me in late that evening. Definitely give them a shot; you won’t regret it!

Shannon has been a blessing for my hair. Image Is… was my first real salon experience, as before I was going to a friend wherever she set up shop, the latest being a barber shop. I called on a whim and spoke to someone who listened to my needs, and said that Shannon would be a great fit.
Well, a once every 6 weeks salon experience is perfect. Shannon is a sweetheart and we bond over television shows a lot. She knows my hair. The ambiance there is comfortable, elegant without being hoighty-​toighty. The prices are salon-​expensive and what I would imagine is on par with salon prices, if not a little lower than average.
My hair is healthy and I will keep going back until I move away.

I got my hair done here about a year ago for a friends wedding and had a really good experience. When I was looking to make a drastic change to my hair (I chopped off a lot of length), I decided to go back. Best decision I’ve ever made. I’ve been going there regularly since to see Shannon, and it (and she) is the absolute best. Shannon is so kind and personable, not to mention fantastic with hair. I brought in pictures and she worked with me to match the style I wanted in a way that was flattering to me. The prices are especially good for the quality of service you get. I can’t recommend Image Is… enough!

Kelly –shellac mani. Absolutely one of the best shellac mani’s I have ever had. Gorgeous and lasted over 2 weeks. She doesn’t have the best bedside manner but I’ll still go back because of how good she does nails.
Danielle –pedicure, she is an absolute sweetheart with fantastic bedside manner, however the pedi was absolutely just OK. nothing special at all. She scrubs very lightly, and doesn’t paint very evenly. She did good with cuticles though. I didn’t get the cheapest pedi either so to me it was an absolute rip-​off. I could have went to a generic nail salon and paid $ 25 for a much better one.
Overall, the salon is nice and clean with friendly staff and lots of good products to buy. I saw Redken, OPI, CND, Pureology and others. They also have coffee which is nice.

Christine has been a god send to my hair. I always leave her chair happier than I’d expected. Her talent with color is undeniable. The entire salon is staffed with friendly knowledgeable people who don’t try to intimidate you like at other salons. The prices are reasonable. The environment is comfortable — I’ve even fallen asleep during a shampoo before. I love everything about this place, and I’m so happy to have a trusted stylist again. I book my appointments in advance so I have no worries when I tell EVERYONE to go see Christine. :)

What a wonderful salon and a wonderful group of girls. The salon is neat as a pin and always very inviting. Product selection is great, too. Perfect place for a great haircut, top quality color and excellent spa service. I would reccomend this salon to anyone who is looking for a top notch salon with a warm, down-​home type of environment. Will be back!

Great service. Everyone was so nice and they really make you feel at home. My hairstylist was excellent. She listened and did exactly what I wanted. They have an great new client package with coupons. I will definitely be going back!

Have visited twice for haircut and lip wax. Very pleasant atmosphere; unpretentious, friendly staff; talented technicians. Only complaint – VERY strong odor of acetone throughout the salon both times.

This place is amazing, I was very sad to leave it when I moved away from Baltimore!
I went to Jenn every month for about 2 years for brow waxes. Besides being the best waxer I have ever been to (my skin was never red at all… how does she do that?!) she is also an extremely nice person. She’s always fun to talk to and she had lots of great suggestions while I was planning my wedding!
I saw Christine for haircuts and highlights and she always did a great job. She also did my hair for my wedding and it was absolutely beautiful!
I highly recommend this place. Everyone is extremely nice and they do great work!

I am so glad that I get to write the first review for Image Is… this place is GREAT! Its actually beyond great! I have been a loyal client for a very long time and have even moved to LA…
But I still come in a few times a year to see…
