The worst thing I can say about the whole experience is that finding parking was a bit of a chore until I realized there was more parking on the other side of the building. After that, everything was smooth.
The procedure was easy (from my point of view) and the relief immediate. Because I have a bad reaction to most dental anaesthetics, my dentist had made sure they knew the type I needed, and it was on hand — the problem was a tooth under a bridge, so the procedure was a bit tricky technically, I believe. Office staff was easy to deal with; dentist and assistants were calm, professional, and focused and made sure I was comfortable the entire time.
A friend became a dental-​phobe after a rather brutal root canal experience 40 years ago, and needed that same tooth re-​treated after all this time. Dr. Barry explained the entire procedure and friend came away from the procedure amazed at how easy and gentle it was now. Friend uses a wheelchair to get around; the staff made the transfer to the dental chair easy and dignified.

This was my first root canal and was so sad to have to get one BUT this office was amazing. Beautiful office and everyone from the receptionist to the assistant to Dr. Barry himself were so great. Totally make you feel at ease and explain every step along the way. As fellow dental professional, I’m telling you, you are in good hands at this office ;)

Dr. Barry is the best of the best! This was not my first root canal (unfortunately), so I had an idea of what to expect. The procedure was quick and painless. I was out the door in less than 90 minutes (mostly because we were chatting). I expected to go home, be numb for hours and be extremely tender the next few days, but I am happy to report that less then 4 hours following my procedure I am in virtually NO PAIN. My tooth went from absolutely excruciating pain (⁹⁄₁₀ on the pain scale. I was taking 2 vicodin at a time. OUCH) to ready to go to bed without so much as an Advil. Thank you so much Dr. Barry & staff! You are wonderful!

I was referred to Dr. Barry’s office by my dentist in Tigard Dr. Wheeler. At first I was scared about this whole procedure because geez… a root canal!!! Scary!!! So I go to the office and they really are nice people and they put me at ease immediately. On the coffee cups in the office it says «root​canal​sare​fun​.com» (goes to the dental offices site) so they had a good sense of humor I could tell. Very clean and classy waiting room and in back everything was also extremely clean. The view from the chair was really neat to see as well!
The Endodontist I saw was Dr. Barrys partner Dr. Mattscheck and she was patient with explaining to me what they were doing and how it was going to be done. She used the right amount of local anesthetic to where I did not feel anything from the procedure but was not too numbed out after.
So in and out in about an hour! Very professional and painless procedure! Love you guys! Thank you for making my first root canal easy and painless!
Edit: I just looked at the other 1 star filtered review of this office and I clearly had a much different experience. The costs were explained to me right away and the Dr. Mattschek was very clear that I could either get the procedure done or not, there was no pressure involved or a sales pitch of any kind. Everyone I spoke to was very kind and they were willing to work with me on a payment plan because I have poor credit.
