I live in Oregon and am taking distant learning courses Through Tiffin University in Ohio. I order my textbooks from Tiffin University Bookstore because they allow the payment to come out of my financial aid package. I ordered my books 1 ½ weeks prior to the semester starting and called to check the status about a week into the semester because I had not received them. My books were on back order, but no staff contacted me to tell me this, I just happened to call and got that information. I was without any of my books for the first 3 weeks of the semester while they lied several times regarding when my books would be in. I was told all types of stories… the manager was fired, the publisher told them this that and the other, etc. Finally, I started receiving the books and was charged 2 separate shipping fees for 2 of the books. I then was overnighted the remainder of my books after they had already sent them ground shipping. I was instructed that there was return label for the second set of books within the package, there was no such thing. When I called I was told the return label was in the first box, which I did not see a label in either, and that I would have to pay for the return because it would cost them money to give me another label. I have never been treated this unfairly by an educational institution and will not be using their services ever again!
