Had a great meal here. We had a party of nine and we were served promptly. Service was good and food far exceeded expectations. Had the drunken clams, seafood pot pie, and others in my party had the fish. Only item that wasn’t too good was the chicken parmigiana, but then we are used to NYC Italian.

We had a great meal here on June 3, 2016. We had a custom pizza and it was delicious. The waitress was great. I didn’t enjoy my margarita on the rocks because it had sour mix, but apparently that’s the most common way to make it(in spite of my experience). My wife and I split a small pizza, which was the perfect amount for us, leaving room for dessert.

This place is awesome! We have been here twice and everything has been spot on. I never give 5 stars, that tells you how amazing this place is. So far we have tried the blacken prime rib, sentinel steak, Tuscan steak, mozzarella wedges, and crab cakes. We would try all of them again but my husband is looking forward to the seafood pot pie and I’m looking forward to the pizza.

We live in this community and dine at the Sentinel several times a month. The food is consistently very good, ambiance is awesome and value is great. The owners and staff go out of their way to make sure we are happy. This is our go to restaurant locally.

Hands down the best eatery in the area, not city quality food but some damn well executed entrees, many sides, huge portions and fair prices! Would recommend the chefs Rooney’s when available or the massive prime rib! Great bar crowd as well

How could there be only 8 reviews on this gem in Ti? this is my second visit. I never ratw a pla e on the first. CONSISTENCY is worthy of a rating in my book. This place is a pleasent surprize and aims to please. Wide variety, well seasonsed, nicely presented, timed correctly, super staff with a clear understanding of their food. Wont go any other place when in in town! Ck it out worth the effort.

Despite a couple of negative recent reviews, we went to the Sentinel again while vacationing in the area. Honestly, I can’t understand the experience the negative reviewers had. Our experience was good. Service was prompt; our waitress was friendly, as was the bartender; and our meal couldn’t have been served more quickly The food we had was straightforward — the Sentinel Salad with grilled chicken, and the NY Strip steak; the restaurant is not likely to win many Michelin stars, but it was all good. In my book, no one should have any hesitation about visiting the Sentinel Grille.

Tonight we stopped by the Sentinel grille. I can honestly say it will be our last. Just like a previous review. We arrived at 6:45 pm and we sat after 10 minutes after arriving. We were put in an empty room. 20 minutes had passed. We had to go to the hostess to find a waitress. We were also told they were busy tonight. After further delay we were brought out bread and no silverware. We were not served our food until 9pm. My son and I ordered our steaks medium well and they came out blood red. I told the waitress I am not paying for this steak she wanted to return it to the kitchen. I said no I didn’t want it any more. We asked to speak to manager. She brought out the chef. Who was rude and talked down to us. which just made the situation worse. The owner came out and finally comp’d the meals. So if you are looking to spend your night waiting for your silverware and food only to have it undercooked… then this is the place for you!

They were short on staff but our waitress was on the move. Food was good and fresh. We would come back again if we come back to the area.

Went for a suprise birthday party. Great outdoor deck. Food was very good and the staff was friendly. I was not drinking but they had a full bar. The calamari was cooked perfect and I had a sirloin burger a little too done. Full menu appetizers, lite fare and full dinners. A great time had by all. I wish it was closer to home

The service was great everyone was very attentive. My wife had the grilled chicken breast(which was a whole breast) the veg’s were fresh not frozen. I had the seafood pot pie which was out standing the rice and veg’s also out standing. Large salad which was a little to much but good. Friendly environment. Enjoyed our selfs. Will do again. The pricing was perfect.

Recommended by a local friend, this place didn’t disappoint! We went in for dinner on their«Italian Night» and had a fantastic meal. Our appetizers of Caesar Salad and Buffalo Wings were to both our liking. The Caesar dressing was light and tangy– perfect for a usually heavy dish. The Buffalo Wings weren’t very spicy, but were still paired great with the blue cheese sauce. For entrees we enjoyed the Chicken Pot Pie, and one of the evening’s specials, Chicken Parmesan. Both were fantastic. The Chicken Pot Pie had a light(not too think) filling and a unique crust of puff pastry. Very delicious! Our waitress was very accommodating and knowledgable of the menu, and the many specials offered that night. We don’t live in the Ticonderoga area, but upon our next visit, we would absolutely return for another delicious meal!

This place gave me one of the most unforgettable nights of my entire trip. I simply can not say enough good things about the Sentinel Grille. The day I ended up here I was doing an eight hour drive. It was long and tiring. My budget was already blown on a hotel room and gas but I had just learned of my acceptance to an MFA program in Los Angeles so I decided I deserved a celebratory dinner(instead of coffee machine ramen). I drove by this place and noticed all the cars in the parking lot. Another five miles down the road I realized that that many cars had to mean something great so I turned around. Once inside I could see it was busy(probably VERY busy for such a small town). Everyone on staff was so friendly and enthusiastic. It put such a huge smile on my face just being in here. Prices were super reasonable. I ordered a huge ribeye for only $ 18. It came with bread, side salad(or soup), sauteed spinach and a baked potato(or fries). Tons of food. My bread was warm in the basket and very tasty. I made friends with some other bar patrons while eating my salad. The salad had a tad too much dressing on it but the greens were fresh and the tomato was a plenty. When my steak came out I was so excited. It was really, really tasty. Top notch. I’m not crazy about sauteed spinach but I still ate it. The potato was great too. Everything was so tasty. I ate every single bite and was exploding. One of the super friendly locals(Mikey?) bought me a slice of the pineapple upside down cake with a shot of Captain Morgan’s drizzled on the top. It was absolutely, sinfully delicious. Like earth shattering good. The edges were crispy and the inside was super moist and fluffy. I totally encourage you to get this and to go crazy by adding the rum on top. Since my dessert was a gift my total only came to like $ 24 with tax and tip. That was a lot of good food for $ 24. And with the super friendly staff you literally can’t ask for more. I have no idea if I’ll ever be in Ticonderoga, NY again but if I am I’ll make sure to visit my pals at the Sentinel Grille.
