Very frustrating dealing with this company. The sign says it opens at 10. We arrived at 9:45, waited until 10:20. Called the phone number for the San Rafael store. The person who attended was courteous but could not locate the employee who was supposed to open the store. Very unprofessional way of doing business. Do not recommend it. If you need to rent bikes, do it in the island or bring your own.

Why offer Groupons if you’re going to be unpleasant to customers who want to use them? The guy on the phone was impatient and unfriendly when I posed one or two reasonable questions — e.g., if we bought two two-for-one Groupons, i.e., four rentals’ worth, and three of us rented a bike, would the unused fourth rental carry over? — so I decided to rent from friendly folks elsewhere.

Was on a ride from Sausalito to Tiburon and gave this place a try. my bike needed some work and the timing was right. In a matter of minutes my bike was on the lift, the bottom bracket came off and some serious cleaning started… I could have replaced the crankshaft bearing but it just needed cleaning as stated by the mechanic! About 30mn later everything was put together and in great working order, my bike is riding like new. Bottom line: Great service Friendly people without attitude and great price! Thank you.

My husband and I found a Groupon for an 8 hour rental for two bikes for only $ 39 and it was such a great deal! The guy at the shop was very laid back and helpful. He helped us fit into the right size bike and helmet. We were able to take the bikes onto the ferry to Angel Island with no issues, and when we came back, we still had plenty of time on our rental, so the shop owner recommended a bike trail that took you along the waterfront to beautiful views! I would definitely come back to this place again.

I had an wonderful ride around Tiburon with bikes rented here. The guy at the counter was very friendly and helpful in which ways we might want to go. The whole round trip took around 1.5hrs and the views were absolutely gorgeous along the coast. We would definitely come back to this great little place again!

This is just a summer-time 2nd location of the bigger DemoSport shop in San Rafael. This little«hole-in-the-wall» shop rents bikes to tourists from April through October. It’s just half a block from the ferry. You can rent a bike, catch the Angel Island Ferry and spend the day tooling around the State Park. If you want more than just to rent a bike, you will need to go to San Rafael to the bigger store. They have bikes, skis, snowboards, skates, etc and all the services to go with them. In both shops you’ll find guys that know what they are doing. If you need help, stop and ask.

A mid-afternoon ride across the Golden Gate bridge and down the hill towards Sausalito is amazing. It’s even better when you continue along the bay to Tiburon. This all comes CRASHING to a halt when your tire explodes on the bike path. So you fix it. And you start riding again. Low and behold, it pops again. You have NO more tire tubes. So you start wakling. I entered Tiburon on foot in search of a bike or sporting supply store. After being directed by a local cop, I found DemoSport. The owner/operator dude sold me some tubes, and even let me use his pump to get back on the road. The store itself is tiny, it’s made for local tourist rentals… but it saved me when I was screwed. And that is cool. Keep this spot in mind if you are on a bike ride in North Bay & start having troubles! (i have since purchased better tires, not gonna deal with that s**t anymore)
