Great little spot! The owner is super friendly and enjoys talking about his wines. The location is super chill and peaceful! Great spot for wine tasting. The wines are also pretty good too!

Customer service as it should be — they remember when you come in — their wines are great, they will put together your cheese platter for the patio or to go — and while they have a much smaller selection of wines than other places on the row –their customer service, humor, accommodation and kindness — makes them the number one choice in Tiburon for a wine bar!

Awesome Pinot Noirs, relaxing and nice vibe, good snack options. The owner, Jon, is amazing, super passionate about his work and making sure his customers have a fabulous experience.

I was looking for the Straight Line Tempranillo and needed it quickly. I called and spoke with Ashley, who was very helpful! She was able to take my order over the phone and get the shipment out to me right away.

Great wines to taste and the gal who served us was very friendly and knowledgeable. The tasting room was cozy and inviting, and Tiburon is beautiful!

These people are sweet. I can’t answer for all the wines because I was having too much fun with my friends and didn’t pay attention. One of the pinot noirs had a nose of passion fruit but nobody else agreed even though it was obvious. It wasn’t crowded — except for us — mid afternoon — the staff was chatty and informed and fun also. I hope they got the bar glued back together, there was an issue of a piece of wood being hard to clamp and some guy was going to have to squat there for an hour holding it in place. What do you do when you have to glue a piece of wood and there is absolutely no place to put clamps?

Not only did I got a delicious flight of red limited production wine but owner and winemaker John was super knowledgeable and gladly shared his wisdom. He made my visit unique and special. I could tell by all the other customers expression that John is passionate about taking care of his customers.

I live just up the hill from Couloir, and decided to try it a few weeks ago. I chose a flight of 3 Pinot Noirs for tasting.
The tab for these three approximately 1 ounce each pours was $ 22, includng tax and an actively solicited server tip. And that price, I expect very high quality wine to taste, and also good and engaged service.
I tasted good quality wine overall, but not particularly interesting or exceptional wine, from three different coastal California growing areas notable for Pinot Noir that the winery bottles from. Not bad, but just not too interesting. What was disappointing was the lack of information from the servers about the wines that were being poured. The servers seemed pretty detached, and did not actively offer any information whatsoever about the wines or the growing areas. Then when I asked specific questions, which I think expressed genuine interest in their product, I still received virtually no information at all.
Most wineries promote their wines to visitors, so this was a unique, and not entirely pleasant experience. The take it or leave it wine experience. I shall not return.

After spending a great day in Tiburon we accidently missed the 5PM ferry and had about an hour and a half to «waste» — I decided to spend this time at Couloir Wines and had an absolutely amazing time. We did a Pinot Noir flight with Susan (who was an amazing host) and to be quite honest, enjoyed every single one of them. I was pleasantly surprised by their wines and will be recommending them for now on! The tasting room was very quiet and welcoming and the staff could not have been better. I was upset when we missed the ferry, but have to admit was happy I did after spending over an hour here. If you ever find yourself in Tiburon and want to try something different then sitting outside at Sam’s or drinking Margaritas at Guayamas, then this is definitely the place to go. I will be visiting this tasting room for now on when visiting Tiburon and more importantly will be looking for their wines when out in about in San Francisco. Overall great experience and even better wine — highly recommend visiting this place.

Had a fabulous private tasting with Jessica. The wines were amazing and I can’t believe the prices.
If you love vineyard designate pinot noirs and other fun stuff like tempranillo and sauv blanc, you owe it to yourself to make an appt. for a tasting.
