I have not had a good experience with this company in any way. I would suggest before you agree to anything with them you get another price. They have inexperienced people, very nice, but inexperienced. They also charge outrages prices for their work. Be smart and get quotes.

Shawn is the best service tech I have encountered in a long time. He calls me every time and breaks down what he has done, and offers professional recommendations when required. Highly recommend this guy!

Best in the Valley. Work is done by experts. They show up early and do more than expected. They don’t guess or try, they do! They may cost more for the first visit but you don’t have to worry they will be back soon. You problem will be solved the first time, correctly. Follow on service keeps it running in top shape. No down time.

I love the General. Everyone I have had contact with at this company really cares and gives so much value. Frank definitely sets the tone with his generous big heart and then Fransisco and Patrick run a tight ship as far as quality. They are an amazingly knowledgable and professional air conditioning and plumbing company. I was referred to General by another business in the desert. I was totally satisfied from the first phone contact through the sale and the transaction to the installation. The salesman Skip thoroughly studied the situation in my attic and gave me a fair estimate to repair the ducts and blow in insulation. Now here’s to hoping to see some reduction in my heating and AC bills :)

Just had Christian from General Air at our home to do the heater service and he did a great job. Very polite and professional. I noticed he put on paper booties to cover his shoes before entering the house.
He spent over an hour here checking everything and helpfully suggested we install a condensate line overflow shutoff switch to avoid flooding should the drain line get plugged. I have actually had this happen twice before, so it sounded like a good idea.
I felt like I got good, honest feedback on the state of my A/​C system without and sale pressure to buy anything.

The General came to the house to check our heater just to make sure it is safe to turn on for our cold season… The General has a special package you can purchase. They come out to check the air before we turn it on for the hot season, change the air filter, wash off the unit outside… They might be a little more expensive but they take care of our heating and air as if it was their own home… Thank you…

I can’t express enough thanks, and gratitude, toward General A/​C & Plumbing. I live out-​of-​state and moved my Mother from her older manufactured mobile home (70s?) that we own and into a retirement home near me. In order to keep this property we decided to rent it to a family friend. After a year of constant plumbing problems I was told by my handyman that the entire plumbing system would have to be replaced, this was not what I wanted to hear! I did my research and had the plumbing inspected and received several estimates from plumbing companies in the area, I was told that this would be a very expensive endeavor. All of the bids I had obtained were beyond my means, and well beyond my moms. My tenant suggested contacting General Plumbing as he had heard great things about them, I assumed that they would come in higher than the other companies, I don’t know why I thought that but I did… I WAS WRONG! General Plumbing’s bid came in well below the other bids I’d obtained. Everyone that I spoke to at General Plumbing was professional, knowledgeable, and courteous… there are some other A/​C & Plumbing companies in the desert that could learn something very important about customer service from General Plumbing!
General Plumbing worked with my tenant’s schedule, finished the job in record time, and left the property clean. My tenant is happy and has reported no further plumbing issues since the system was replaced. Let me repeat that, my tenant is happy… if you own a rental property you know how important that is!
The stress of being an out-​of-​town landlord was alleviated by the friendly, and professional, General Plumbing staff, from start to finish! I couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome of the services provided. When my AC went out I immediately called General and had a tech at my house within 1 ½ hours. That is crazy fast. First off, the phone service from the ladies answering the phone is not what I’m used to. You can actually hear the smile in their voices. I think there was an Anita, Amanda and I’m sorry for not writing down the other names. All superb phone skills as well as follow ups. Great training!
And then there is Shawn B. He was sent to my house related to my AC unit but not here to fix it. He came simply to gather some information for another tech. But while he was here, he took it as a real challenge to locate and repair the problem. After some trouble shooting, he did find and fix the problem within 1 hour. All in my attic near 115 degrees. Shawn went way above and beyond to get my AC running. He has excellent people skills as well.
I will always call General for all of my future needs based on all of the above.

After a hard week, actually a really difficult month, I was probably the most defensive customer Robert P. has had to deal with for awhile. I was just nearly daring him to do or say something wrong. I’m generally a very nice person but I guess the month just got the best of me. Well Robert was so nice, so patient, so easy to deal with that I was able to talk to him and hear what he had to say with laughter and interest. The young lady in the office also deserves battle pay. I called a couple times with a little bit of a chip on my shoulder (I’m not proud, just honest) and she talked me down off the ledge so sweetly and so patiently I’m embarrassed at my inability to control my distrust issues.
So this is 5 stars for the employees and 1 star for me.

I love General because they do great work and really care about their customers. They are prompt, courteous, and treat my property and family with respect. Of course it all starts with leadership and Greg G sets the tone for their team.
Air conditioning in the desert is life and death for elderly and some pets. General gets this and puts their desires well behind the needs of these customers. That is what makes them tops in my book and will keep me coming back for all my HVAC needs.

We had Steve as our tech for maintenance service this week. He was able to help us correct a filter issue that was un-​attended and making us sneeze more than usual. We have used General Air for over 3 decades and won’t use or recommend any one else. Every person working there is well trained, professional, and ‘Generally’ happy. We are not technically gifted and when our old unit went down on July 4 a couple of years ago, the people at The General hand walked us through every part of replacement and rebates in a way that we felt 100% we were making the right decision. No question went un-​answered. …AND they got us back up running with a new unit in quick order.

I chose General mostly because of the positive reviews on Unilocal.Like many people, I am incompetent when it comes to the technical aspects of heating and cooling systems. So, public relations and building trust is imperative. General Air clearly understands that.
Ironically, I had contacted General for a system check on the 16 year old central system in the house I bought 6 months ago. I had to cancel that appointment due to a schedule conflict. The very same day, the unit died when it was 104 °F outside. The house heated to 92 °F quickly. Just as quickly, General responded to my call and we found the entire central unit encased in ice. My central A/​C was dead and even I could clearly see that.
Ivan and David stayed until 10:30 pm that night examining the system and reviewing options with me. They presented me with information that made clear what I was looking at. By evening’s end, I purchased a new system, largely due to the level of knowledge Ivan and David were operating from. But more importantly because I trusted them completely. They set the tone for my entire experience. The next day a crane appeared and my new system was installed. I did not believe it would be operable, but by 11 p.m. it was. Again, General (Juan and another man whose name I don’t k know) stayed until 11 p.m. to get the job done and they did. I went to bed with a new system cooling down the house efficiently and effectively.
Today Juan and Gabral came and finished all the tweeking that needed to be done to maximize my new central A/​C. I am amazed at the consistent knowledge base and stellar customer relations by everyone who has worked on my new system. This is a company who has mastered the importance of building trust with the public and the value of solid customer relations, from the folks who answer the phone and schedule appointments to the folks who put it all together. Bravo to all of you!

The General was AMAZING! Our unit died in the middle of the night on the weekend during 115 temps and the General quickly responded and installed a brand new Lennox system! We still can’t get over how quiet it is and after one month already can see huge savings on our utility bill. We also love the wifi thermostat!

We are exceedingly pleased with work done by General Air Conditioning from the detailed presentation by John our sales agent to Jaithen our installer including Rubin the assistant. Each representative was very presentable, communicated well, very polite and acted in a professional manner. The work was done on time. The work area was cleaner when finished than when they started. Particularly impressed with the team work and Rubin moved quickly doing his part!

I had General Air put a system for the main house, two years ago now it is time to have the caseta system replaced and I didn’t consider anybody else other than General Air. The job was extremely neat and was approved right away. With my
Conversation with the state inspector he confirmed my feelings, stated that it seems like everybody is happy with General Air. I would state something here about the Electrical savings however, I’ve got solar … and life is good !

I interviewed four different companies before I made my choice. Their attention to details and no pressure sales tactic is what made me decide to pay a bit more and go with them. They took the time to measure and evaluate everything before they even gave me a quote and were prompt in returning my phone calls and finding the correct answers to my questions (all complimentary). After they calculated the needs of my house they learned that I had too big of a system on my house and actually sold me a smaller unit than I originally had.
I have allergies so my installer crawled up the small hole in my garage and brought all of my ducts through that more difficult path just to keep me as healthy as possible. He even took the time to stop and befriend my dogs as they barked at him from time to time. Everything they did was professional and they kept me informed of the progress and process every step of the way.
They put cloth booties over their shoes EVERY time any of them entered my house and cleaned up after themselves. Thank you Brian, Jaithen, Robert, and Rory for taking such good care of us!
