We Olive & Wine Bar

A friend brought me into We Olive to sample the olive oils and have lunch. We had the best time as Josh gave us a complimentary olive oil and balsamic vinegar tasting. The oils were so fresh tasting. They are approved by the California olive oil board as local oils. Some of the oils are cold pressed with lemons or jalapeños or others fruits like blackberry. It was an amazing experience and inspired me to experiment more with these oils and vinegars. Many times during the tasting all I could say was WOW, they tasted so good! Food is served after 2 pm. We ate gluten free choices. It was so delicious! I will definitely return for a meal and more oil and vinegar! I sort of did not want to share this find because I don’t want it to get crowded! But I wish Josh and his crew the very best! Thanks for the première treatment!

As we walked along the outside part of the Thousand Oaks mall we decided to give this place a try. I never knew they offered small tapas style food in here I posted a picture of their menu. It would make a great stop before or after your movie for a quick bite and some wine. The wine tastings are per glass @ 3.50−4.00 bucks a glass with a very small pour… it’s a bit pricey. They also have draft beer in here. I did enjoy the 4 wines that we did sample with the Grenache being my favorite. They will also give you olive oil and vinegar pairing tastings. I love the Garlic mixed with the Aged Balsamic. The blackberry vinegar was very tasty too I just might be back to purchase that one, it would make a great appetizer while hosting guests as I figure few have tried that flavor. They have a variety of little sampling stations set up in here of these olive oils and vinegars that you can just come in and sample. You can also seat yourself and they will bring you some samples with your wine tastings. When we walked in there were a couple of people in here with their lap tops open working away with a glass of wine.

Love, love this local wine bar. Good California wines from small vineyards — they really seek out new wines to try. The service is excellent — the young bartender knows his wine and craft beer! Good happy hour every day and of course the olive oils and balsamic vinegars are second to none.
Make sure you try We Olive — it makes shopping at the Thousand Oaks Mall much more fun and relaxed!

I like this place a lot! I stopped in midday on a Sunday for a glass or two of wine before shopping (heyyyy) and the server was really sweet and knowledgeable. I didn’t catch her name, but she said her family had a winery in Lodi. There’s good people watching if you sit near the window, and overall this is a chill place to have a quiet glass or tasting if you plan on wandering the mall for a bit.

I adore We Olive and only wish it was closer! I use gourmet olive oils and balsamic vinegar from them on a daily basis. The bottles are recyclable and they have a loyalty program as well, which helps cut the cost. I seriously go through withdrawals when I run out of my favorites and don’t get a chance to get there. Definitely try the Jalapeño olive oil with the Pineapple balsamic and the Mulled Harvest balsamic when it is in season., you won’t regret it!

Love, love, love this new trend of olive oil tasting. We Olive employees were friendly, informed and made helpful suggestions.
Food: We sampled a cheese plate and a few glasses of wine. I sampled whites while my friend sampled reds. We were both happy. They knew which cheese to pair with which wine to compliment both and enhance our experience.
Décor: It is in a mall… so not a huge location. Of course, once they brought our cheese plate and wine, I got lost in the experience. You really don’t feel the «mall» at all. It was truly a lovely afternoon.

I love this place. Been here three times now and each time I come here everyone is friendly and open. Additionally everyone has a good time. The food is good and the wine is fantastic. It a good time any day of the week.

We were so excited to have our Valentines Day dinner here! That is until we got seated and were ignored for 30 minutes (only asked if we wanted water), while the people seated after us got their order and wine. When we got up and were beginning to walk out we were then asked if we needed anything. We said we were leaving, no apology, nothing. Majorly disappointed.

I had an absolutely perfect and relaxing meal here while my daughter and friends were at the movies. Great service, great cheese plate, and fun atmosphere.

Was skeptical at first, finding a franchised olive oil store in a mall, but became a true believer with my first purchase. The standard olive oil and balsamic are excellent as-​is, and the specialty oils and balsamics are excellent to be able to choose from. I’ve bought many gifts from their selection, including autographed copies of olive oil books they have from time to time. The food side of the store is busy on weekends, but I haven’t had the time to try it out yet.
Recommended for fresh and seasonal olive oils and balsamic vinegars.

I was organizing a ladies golf tournament with the theme «A Taste of Italy» and needed tee prizes for 60 women that would be «GREAT» Wow, did I get it! The price was very reasonable, but the product itself was terrific. The service that I received was wonderful. Both Pam and Alan went out of their way to accommodate my needs. Not only did they get me the terrific black berry balsamic and basil oil oil, but they packaged it in a cute little organza bag and complimentary labels specifically for this tournament.

I love this place. You can sample products before you buy them and if you have a question they can actually answer it. They often have events in store. I attended a event where a chef came in and showed us how to make a meal with the stores products. Wine bar is a nice addition to the mall as well. I could spend all day in this store.

Wonderful owners. Wonderful staff. Wonderful olive oils and balsamic vinegars. Wonderful gift items. Not so wonderful are the prices in the wine tasting bar. Average price for a 6 oz pour is around $ 15. I get it that the wines are from small wineries and they are great– thought I’d give «wonderful» a rest, but that seems a bit pricey for a tasting area in a retail shop. I’ll be back to shop though!

I am so happy to have this store in the Oaks Mall. The olive oils are fabulous and fresh. The mission and the garlic olive oil are some of my favorites. I now have my pantry full of delicious items from We Olive. You must try the rubs as well, I used Darkhorse smoked brown sugar rub on barbequed ribs and they were to die for. I use Rosario White Truffle seasoning on fish, absolutely delicious. Staff it always friendly and helpful. It is fun just to go in and taste everything. Now they have put in a Wine Bar which makes it my destination place every time I am at the mall!

Just a quick review to get the word out on these guys. 5 stars for the fact that they have traditional balsamic vinegar from Modena. The 12 year old stuff is $ 119 for a bottle, but it is amazing if you never had it and a bottle will last you years!

The store looks great and staff is really friendly, you can sample almost everything, Plenty of olive oil and Balsamic vinegars to sample some rubs and pestos. Great gifts for a foodie.

They sell great quality olive oils! 100X better than grocery store olive oil. Everything I have tried from We Olive has been exceptional.

Garlic olive oil is by far my favorite. So glad it is now at the Thousand Oaks mall. Great place! Can’t wait for wine bar.

We are fans and regulars. Garlic and lemon olive oils have become mainstays as has the Mission olive oil. Popcorn with jabanero olive oil is great. Balsamic vinegars for our salads while the Ambrosia vinegar makes it on my fruit bowl most evening.
Pleased to hear the Thousand Oaks location will soon be getting a wine bar.

We had to stop into check out the experience for olive oil tasting. Who knew that they taste different when infused with other oils, such as the lightly spicy jalapeño infused oil that pairs with a sweeter pineapple balsamic. This is the start, and is really fun to taste the different combos with fresh sourdough. There are jellies, soaps, lotions, dipping plates and platters, and I’m hearing a wine tasting section is coming soon. Superb and patient service, and quality all in one stop. They use local olive groves, and will fill up your own bottles if you choose. This is a must do if you fancy something special to drizzle on almost everything!
