UPDATE: Returned (²⁄₁₉) with friends and ordered pizza and tried the wings once again. Thai spiced wings were tasty and not soggy like last time. Pizza has always been delicious. Thank you to Arman and staff.
FOOD: Tonight (¹⁄₂₉) wasn’t Urban Pizza’s best night. I like their pizza but wanted to try the wings. I ordered the eight piece with a mix of two flavors: honey barbecue and spicy. The honey wasn’t very sweet and spicy was moderate in «heat.» I suspect the wings may have been steamed because the chicken was rather soggy. Maybe they should stick to just making delicious pizza?
SERVICE: The employees were polite and helpful but mixed up our order (group of 4). The pizza arrived well before the wings and we had to ask repeatedly about them. Once the wings finally came we realized our order of cannoli was missing, but by then we had grown impatient and asked for a credit.
FACILITIES: Toilet paper and paper towels were either missing or not in the bathroom dispenser.
GOOD: They did offer a free Wolfgang Puck soda with Unilocal check-​in, which was nice. They always have free gelato and the pizza is quite tasty.

With the plethora of make your own pizza spots now available, Urban Pizza stands above them all. They offer better ingredients, nickers environs and the friendliest staff you will find. Tonight, Paige was the pizza master that took our party of four through the process of crafting true works of pizza art. She was helpful, patient with the first-​timers and genuinely concerned with pus satisfaction. Give UP a try if you haven’t discovered them yet.

We ordered a pepperoni pizza and the 8-​piece wings and both were awful. The pizza was topped with at most two quarter sized pepperoni slices per slice, which tasted like luncheables pepperoni. The mozzarella cheese came completely off with the first bite and the sauce was bland. The medium hot wings were flavorless and the texture was really gross. I would make a suggestion to the staff but I don’t think they’re interested. The pure cane sugar soda was actually good though. Nevertheless, I want my $ 24 back.

I went to Urban pizza for the first time a couple weeks ago and I thought is was really good. If there was an option for 3.5 stars, thats probably what I would rate it but I didn’t feel right giving them a 3 when its definitely above that.

Cons
–Not super special (other restaurants with the same concept have a better taste)-My leftovers the next day actually tasted better than when it was fresh
–More expensive than other pizza restaurants with the same concept
Urban pizza was overall good but not great. I would probably come again if I was in the area.

These are sweet people. I did not go to the event which may have been dialed up for the occasion. We ordered from here but were disappointed with pizza. I like their staff and their emphasis, but really wish we liked the pizza as we are in walking distance. They may have had an off night when we ordered our pies which were simply cheese but we were all nonplussed.
Note: we tried again. Liked it less. Sorry.

How excited am I about this place? I came all the way from Chicago to take a crack at this pizza building experience, and I was not disappointed! Corey and Evan helped my mom and I build our own pizzas; they made great suggestions for the toppings, and were really fun! I can’t get over the crust; it’s absolutely delicious and is the perfect base to any pizza creation. While we were eating, Evan came over to check on us, and said we should try the calzone next time. Our pizzas were so good, we decided not to wait until next time for the Calzone ;) What a fabulous little pizza joint! Everything is fresh, organic, and killer. I’ll definitely be back… all the way from Chicago!

I was able to go to Urban Pizza earlier in the year for the Unilocal Event they hosted. The manager was really friendly to each one of the guests that came to the event. Check out my review on that.
Finally after a couple of months, I got my opportunity to go back and build my own pizza using their various organic topping items.
We have seen an increase in establishments like Urban Pizza pop up through out the valley. How does Urban Pizza separate itself? Free freaking Gelato!!! lol i’m not joking when i say all-​you-​can-​eat soft serve gelato ready for you and no money out your pocket. While I know you guys probably care about the pizza, just had to mention the Gelato mountain you could make if you truly wanted to.
Pizza Time: I ordered a build you own 11′ pizza with zesty red sauce & bbq sauce mix. I can’t remember all the ingredients, but just know my pizza had a tower of various veggies, meats, etc. on top. My pizza was really good in my opinion. The price was quite reasonable. It was about $ 11 for a pie that was hard to finish. the flavors worked well and I am a sucker for thin crust pizza. You can get a free drink if you check in on Unilocal.What is cool is they do not have the basic soda options. They actually have a private company making each soda recipe using all natural ingredients. I loved their root beer!
I was happy to come down and support this establishment. I think its the #2 restaurant for its niche (build your own pizzas). I would absolutely come back when in the mood for a pizza! The root beer was quite delicious and walking out with a free gelato finish the dinner off just right. I am a fan and think a 4 out of 5 stars is perfect for Urban Pizza. Come try it Out!

My daughter and I were craving pizza. We did not want to drive 15 miles to the nearest Pizza Rev so we decided to try Urban Pizza. We are happy we did!!!
I ordered the exact same pizza I normally would order at Pizza Rev to have a fair comparison; this one was larger, a lot less oily but not as generous in regards to the amount of toppings — I know I could have asked for more so this one is on me. The service by Cody was excellent. BTW, they only offer All Natural Puck’s sodas and the free soft served ice cream is a nice treat. I will definitely go back.

I read the reviews and was so looking forward to trying Urban Pizza. First off, I like the décor of the place. Second, I went in about 7:15 and it took me 20 minutes to get my two to-​go pizzas and there were just 2 girls in front of me. The staff was nice, but seemed more concerned about taking their breaks then making my pizzas. I would tell the gentleman my choices and he would place on of them on my pizza and ask are you done, when I had given him a list of 2 – 3 choices. He would say, «Oh yeah, and proceed, but this happened 3 times during my ordering. This was very frustrating!
I was not impressed with the drink choices. I understand they pride themselves on making their own sodas, but I was hoping for a lemonade or ice tea choice which was not available and I went with the Black Cherry, which I love, but it lacking in flavor.
My pizzas where to go, and the last 2 slices of my pizza were soggy, and overall the pizza was lacking in flavor. With all the positive reviews, I will give them another chance, but the first impression was not good. Sorry!

Wow… What a find here.
On the way to a movie, we wanted something new that we hadn’t had, and stumbled upon this amazing new place that just opened in April!
Organic, custom fresh pizza, options for vegans, vegetarians, and gluten free people, and all the other stuff, 10 different cheese options, unlimited toppings at no extra charge, made to order… Never seen anything like it.
I got a vegetarian 10 cheese pizza with every vegetable, their signature spicy tomato sauce and their nut-​free pesto… Oh man!
AND they have free gelato every day.
We’ll be here again. Best deal in town too because you can load the thing up to the sky!

So, this is a terrible place if you’re trying to lose pounds… But Urban Pizza has the best pizza I’ve ever had. Bar none.
I’ve been there a handful of times and the quality and flavor is consistently excellent.
The crust is thin and crisp, the toppings are top notch. They cook it masterfully, and every employee is nice, helpful, and accommodating.
There is one area that could make this place even better. When there is a line, it moves pretty slowly (totally worth waiting for, but improvement would be appreciated).
I took my son there the other night and Corey (hope I spelled your name right buddy) made me the best pizza I’ve ever had the pleasure of devouring. Extra cheese, extra pepperoni, olives, mushrooms.
Go check it out, and ask for the Corey!

The Service: Wonderful~ very friendly and efficient. Love the open kitchen design. You can see the staffs preparing your pizza. The large pizza oven really fire up the pizza fast! Within a few minutes, the pizza is ready to be served!
The Food: Love the pizza crust. Good texture. Not too thick. Fresh ingredients can never go wrong.
My favorite thing in the store has to be the gelato machine!!! Super super creamy~
They also have dessert pizza choice too. Very creative!
The Parking: Plaza parking (free)

I was very happy today that I came to this location for lunch. I have to say the service I received from the employees was the way we should all be served when we dine out. Service is the key to all great success. A plus.
The last time I was here about a month during an Elite event here. Yea there going to have their A’s in their places. So its good to come back and see the operation from a different view, and by all means, the service and most of all the Quality of the product.
The pizza wars have started and its all good for us the customers. Now the one thing that stands out is the products that are used here are different than the other competitors. Its going to cost you a couple more dollars, but quality and service is priceless.
The employee who made my pizza did a fantastic job. Not only was his greeting sincere, also his knowledge of the menu. Great Job.
So the only thing I would have to say is stay consistent in Quality, service and Cleaningness and most of all do something different than your competitors that stands out. Great Job.

I was lucky enough to visit Urban Pizza for the first time through Unilocal.Thank you to the generous Anthony S! I got my first invite to an elite Unilocal event by this great guy. I was able to attend with another friend Unilocaler, Dana K.
Dinner was served in a casual buffet style where you grab a plate and get in line. We brought back to our table green salad with light Caesar dressing and a slice of vegetable pizza. All which was quite tasty and delicious, the roasted artichoke hearts added a nice flavor along side the other veggies.
Throughout the evening the servers and even the Unilocal coordinator came by the tables offering various different kinds of pizza: cheese pizza, gluten free pizza, pesto pizza, pepperoni pizza and much more. Next came dessert! Oh boy what a display of delicious delights, Nutella banana pizza on a flaky sweet crust, mini cannolis and soft serve vanilla gelato. There definitely wasn’t any shortage of food, by the end of the night boxes and bags were filled with yummy left over goodies and handed out to all who wanted to take home more.
The atmosphere of Pizza Urban had a simple Italian feel with a little modern twist. The inside was clean, clutter free and nicely presented. The amount of décor was perfect, minimal and to the point. The customer service was spot on, friendly and attentive. The restaurant is located in a large business plaza in Thousand Oaks and there was plenty of parking available.
Overall I had a splendid experience, met new Unilocalers, tried new food and participated in a new first event. This is a place I would definitely recommend.

This is ultimately my favorite create your own pizza spots in the entire state. The crust is perfect and it’s not too thin or too thick, plus it’s organic. You get to choose unlimited amount of toppings to put on your pizza and all of the toppings are organic. My favorite sauces here to put on the pizza are the pesto sauce mixed with the buffalo sauce. Some of the cheeses that you get to choose from are Parmesan, brie cheese, buffalo mozzarella and blue cheese. They also have so many different kinds of vegetables and so many different kinds of meats that you can choose from. If you want to create your own pizza I highly recommend stopping by this location and you will not be disappointed in any means.

The highlight of Urban Pizza is the «Pizza Dough»; the taste was beyond delicious. I visited this place with friends who used to have a pizza shop; they were also amazed with the taste and the quality of the dough.
My favorite was The Louie BBQ Classic Pizza; the taste was so different and so good; the combination was Spicy BBQ Sauce, mozzarella, red onion and house smoked pulled pork. What I like the most was the spicy sauce; that extra amazing spice makes it so delicious. My least favorite one was Bostonian Pizza, it looks so wonderful but the taste is not as good as it looks.
Overall great experience and I would definitely go back to try different pizzas.

I always saw this place often because my hair stylist is right across from urban pizza and I wanted to try it.
OMG! This place is delicious! Me and my GF really had a good time and LOVE the food, this pizza place is like pizza rev and pieology only Urban Pizza is WAY! Better, the ingredients are very very fresh, instead of having everyone at the event order individual pizza’s they made every pizza they have on the menu for us to try, they even have a pulled pork pizza, very delicious, it’s hard for me to say which pizza they made is my favorite because they were all delicious. The even have buffalo wings is different flavors, the BOMB!
For the beverages, they have these individual wine glasses that are sealed called Copa brand, they have your Merlot and Cab’s, they have beer on tap and bottles and then for soft drinks, instead of it being a soda fountain from your regular coca-​cola or Pepsi, they have a brand called Pucks, I never heard of it, but the fountain drinks were so good. They have 2 types of root beer, a sweet root beer and a regular root beer, both very good.
The staff was amazing! Very accommodating and super super friendly.
We will definitely be coming back here again, 5 stars to this pizza joint.

Visited for the Unilocal Event a couple of days ago — and we felt it was really wonderful! In fact I liked it so much that the very next day I went back again for dinner with my kids and one of their girlfriends for her birthday!
So at the entrance is a small patio area — room enough for 4 – 5 tables worth of space. That is useful for me because when we returned for dinner we dined outside with our Standard Poodle puppy by our table!
Going in you have a clean modern décor — and you can select from several unique combinations or you can select your own toppings. At the private Unilocal event we sampled several yummy pizza selections, their salad, wings and dessert. Essentially we ran through most of their menu!
Overall I must confess we were very pleased with the quality — flavors and service. It was supremely enjoyable! Among our favorites were the Bostonian … a Mediterranean Pesto with Kalmata Olives, Marinated Artichoke Hearts, Red Onions, Sun Dried Tomatos, and Feta… YUMMY! Plus the «Big Apple» is a simple pepperoni … featuring a zest red organic sauce, Mozerella, «triple» pepperoni” and Parmesan. Also of special note were the dessert pizza (Dolcezza) and the wonderful self serve soft drinks! They had some unusual flavors on tap!
Not so spectacular were the «Bay Area» pizza and gluten free crust options. However if I required a gluten free diet I am certain this pizza (gluten free) would have been fabulous! The Bay Area seemed a bit dry — not moist? Not sure if it was intended that way? So making up for these minor stumblings — were the COMPLIMENTARY gelato (flavors change daily)! Yummy — so my kids remarked! And also making up was the unique soda pop fountain. I have to confess they have a couple of flavors I am just a sucker for. Creamy Vanilla and the Root Beer… sigh! I might add they serve a variety of beers — which I did not partake in since we don’t drink much liquor. However some might find it of special appeal?
Otherwise — My brother, spouse and I really liked their chicken wings and drummets. The salad was — well — a salad. I’m not big on that kind of stuff so my remarks will be nominal no matter where I go except for stupendous salad bars like Souplantation or top drawer joints who do it especially well. So… on service… I’ll mix it in here to say I thought the standards of conduct were over the top. Not just from one or two — but from every person encountered or observed from afar? Top flight staff which I suspect will impress any patron… except the unreasonable sorts? (chuckles)
I tap 5 stars our somewhat rarely. In recent months and years I give very very FEW 5 star reviews just because it takes something special in a comprehensive way to earn it. And to Urban Pizza I am HAPPY to click up 5 stars for them!!! I’m local in Westlake and I have a new favorite place for my pizza and pop!
