Sally Beauty Supply

I stopped in here looking for a particular hair gel. A friend had recommended I try Sally and so I browsed around. I wasn’t able to find what I was looking for, but they had a lot of cool things for sale. Nail polish, lots of hair care products and shampoos/​conditioners in bulk gallons for business owners. Makeup, curling irons, hair dye, all kinds of stuff. I didn’t pay too much attention to the prices since I didn’t find the thing I wanted to buy, but it seemed to have a lot of good, fun things. Employees were out on the floor helping customers and the place was pretty busy.

I like sallys and it’s my number two spot to find beauty products. Their return policy on electronics is a major plus for me but you might wanna check amazon before you buy anything there… some products cost double what they do on amazon

Was in the area and decided to stop in for a supply of my nail files, and as usual, I pick up a nail polish or two for good measure. I like the fact that I get a small discount, and were it not for the fact that they discontinued my favorite nail glue several years ago, I’d have given more stars. Still upset they did that. What I don’t understand about ANY of the Sally’s employees is that most of the younger employees walk around with a scowl on their faces. Maybe they’re just bored, not sure, but I see it each time I walk into any one of their stores. As long as they’re not rude to me, I don’t really care. I just find it curious.

First I’d like to start off by saying that the girl who helped me was actually quite nice. The review is for the terrible advice and product.
Three days ago I went to Sallys to buy extensions. I went in with the intention of buying the real-​hair natural blonde extensions. I was talked into buying the half-​synthetic half-​real hair extensions in platinum blonde. The sales girl said it would match better. It is hard to see the real color of the extensions in the packaging so I took her word for it. First of all, these extensions are awful! Only day three with absolutely no heat contact and they’re already frizzy and broken. The sales girl told me they should be in really good condition for a good month if I took care of them.
Second of all, and the biggest issue, these extensions did NOT even remotely, under any lighting, match my real hair. They were at least 5 shades lighter. I had to go get my hair dyed to match these extensions which only lasted for 3 days.
I shouldn’t have listened to her. Be ware of advice, I don’t think they are experts.

There are a few Sally exclusives (SalonCare brand) that I really like: their foam rollers (which are even comfortable to sleep in), their empty spray bottles, and their disinfectant. I feel the staff is always helpful. It would be nice if they carried Paul Mitchell products, but they don’t.

Sally Hansen is hands down the best beauty supply place out here! They always have the best selection and the newest Items! I was just here tonight and found new nail polishes that exceeded my girlfriends expectations :)

I don’t understand the low reviews. Every time i go, the sales clerks are über helpful and the price is on point.
My very favorite styling Nano styling tool is a Sally exclusive. I’ve had this uniqe curved iron for two years and it works like a charm. Now, you can only get it online.
Just last weekend I needed a few items and again excellent friendly customer service.
I love Sally’s.

I found their employees rude and inslulting when I tried to return something. They did not explain their no refund or return policy at the time of purchase. The assistant manager baically said she did care if I remained a customer of Sally, she «Cares more about herself then about my needs as a customer.» Telephone custmer service was just as rude.
There are too many places I can give my money to — I don’t need rude service.

Wow! Two employees in an empty store. Zero service. Nearly got swept up by a broom, not even an ‘excuse me’ was uttered by her. First and last time here. To boot, I’m outside the store as I write this… the other employee squirts my iPhone and I as she cleans the window. Yet another mute.

I drive all the way out to Sally’s from Agoura because they have ridiculously low prices on all the Argan oil hair products I like — and they always have them without fail.
They everything you need here to make yourself at least someone presentable, even if you’re damn ugly. AND even better, you could even make yourself fairly decent with good products on the cheap. That’s why I dig Sally’s.
