Paul Snyder, OD

Not a fan. They messed up billing the insurance and over charged me. Took months to get reimbursed. Next time I went in they charged full price even though they got glue stuff all over my lenses and I could hardly see out of them. I ended up going elsewhere to replace the lenses. They also run this extra test insurance doesn’t cover and make you pay an extra $ 50 to see the results.

Dr. Snyder is great. I have been there for eye exams (which are great and very thorough) but recently I had a piece of metal stuck in my eye. He easily removed it, which did not cause me any pain. My eye just immediately felt better.
He has taken care of my entire family and is great with children. Don’t hesitate to go to Dr. Snyder. You will love him.

Not only he looks younger in person but he is also Very nice, professional, personable and very thorough. He took his time patiently with my son who is 10 yrs old. We were the last patient at that time, Some other doctors/​optometrists would be rushing it to go home but not Dr. Paul Snyder. He made my son feel comfortable. When we got home he said he is the nicest doctor ever! He examined/​checked my eyes too. Ive been with other optometrists and Dr. Snyder is the best so far. His staffs are very nice and polite. The only comment I have is their frame is a bit expensive but overall I would recommend him to my family and friends. Just to let you guys know that He is the kind of doctor/​optometrist we all need:)

Dr. Paul Snyder is an excellent optometrist. I switched over from my previous optometrist because I was wearing special CRT Contact Lenses, and unfortunately, my previous optometrist’s office was terrible at properly filing with my insurance and overcharged me on a number of items. I was so fortunate to find Dr. Snyder, who was in-​network and his office understood the insurance policies very well and were able to tell me what costs to expect upfront.
Beyond the professionalism of his staff, Dr. Snyder is a GREAT optometrist! He is always very thorough in his examination and keeps very thorough, digital notes of each visit. Additionally, he’s extremely patient and willing to answer all my questions. Last year, I decided to make the jump to LASIK, but had a tough transition from my CRT Hard Contacts to glasses. However, Dr. Snyder was super patient and saw helped me with the transition through appointments every couple of weeks. I just recently got my LASIK procedure done, and I’m so glad Dr. Snyder would be taking care of my post-​operation treatments!
I would highly recommend Dr. Snyder!

Dr. Paul Snyder, is the best Optometrists in the entire USA! Yesss… He is!!! Pacience, taking time to even return phone calls for emergency case and at the same time giving you an appoitment even if he is completely booked just to resolve the concern that I had. I came to this doctor Because of some positive reviews, My experience was totally different!!! Annoying phone service, took 20 times to spell to the secretary my name and my phone number, because she just didn’t get it, blamed my accent.
The waiting for the doctor was long and the doctor spent just few minutes with me, I had some questions after the check up, but the Doctor was rushing and arrogant,
Zero privacy! Zero Stars!!!

I have been a patient of Dr. Snyder’s for many years, even followed him from his old location on Erbes and Arboles. His exams are thorough and never rushed. He listens when you are having any eye issues, and gives relevant feedback. His optician, Melissa (?) is top-​notch and very knowledgeable. I’m allergic to nickel and they always have great alternative selections in plastic frames. Highly recommend

Paul and his team have taken excellent care of our eyes for years. My mom has macular degeneration so I take my eye-​care very seriously. The exams are through, the frame selection extensive and follow-​up excellent. I would highly recommend Oakbrook Optometry to all family members, young and old.

Went here for the first time a few days ago, and I had a great experience! Dr. Snyder was excellent, as was his entire staff. They answered all of my questions and Dr. Snyder took his time, asking questions about my previous history and sent me home with a few sample contacts to try since I would like to switch. Overall, this was an excellent visit and I’ll definitely be back!

Dr. Snyder is a member of my company’s VSP plan. His eye examination was extremely thorough, and seemed more comprehensive than my last eye exam with an opthamologist. He noticed a condition that was causing me to have irritated, dry eyes in the mornings and made a recommendation on how to remedy that, which is working after just three days. His office staff was also very helpful.

This office is great. From time you walk in to the time you leave. Staff top notch and Paul Snyder explains every procedure and is very patient with your questions. If you need your eyes checked or need new glasses this is your place. See you guys in 3 weeks to pickup my glasses and next year for my checkup!
